1 In You, O Jehovah, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame.
1 Em ti, Senhor , me refugio; não seja eu jamais envergonhado.
2 Rescue me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; extend Your ear to me, and save me.
2 Livra-me por tua justiça e resgata-me; inclina-me os ouvidos e salva-me.
3 Be a rock of refuge for me, to which I may continually go; You have given command to save me, for You are my Rock and my Fortress.
3 Sê tu para mim uma rocha habitável em que sempre me acolha; ordenaste que eu me salve, pois tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
4 Livra-me, Deus meu, das mãos do ímpio, das garras do homem injusto e cruel.
5 For You are my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my trust from my youth.
5 Pois tu és a minha esperança, Senhor Deus, a minha confiança desde a minha mocidade.
6 Upon You I have been supported from the womb; You are He who took me out of my mothers belly; my praise shall continually be of You.
6 Em ti me tenho apoiado desde o meu nascimento; do ventre materno tu me tiraste, tu és motivo para os meus louvores constantemente.
7 I am like a wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge.
7 Para muitos sou como um portento, mas tu és o meu forte refúgio.
8 Let my mouth be filled with Your praise, with Your glory all the day.
8 Os meus lábios estão cheios do teu louvor e da tua glória continuamente.
9 Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
9 Não me rejeites na minha velhice; quando me faltarem as forças, não me desampares.
10 For my enemies speak against me; and those who lie in wait for my soul take counsel together,
10 Pois falam contra mim os meus inimigos; e os que me espreitam a alma consultam reunidos,
11 saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is no one to rescue him.
11 dizendo: Deus o desamparou; persegui-o e prendei-o, pois não há quem o livre.
12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!
12 Não te ausentes de mim, ó Deus; Deus meu, apressa-te em socorrer-me.
13 Let them be ashamed; let those who are enemies of my soul be consumed; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor, who seek my hurt.
13 Sejam envergonhados e consumidos os que são adversários de minha alma; cubram-se de opróbrio e de vexame os que procuram o mal contra mim.
14 But I will hope continually, and I have praised You again and again.
14 Quanto a mim, esperarei sempre e te louvarei mais e mais.
15 My mouth shall recount Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know their number.
15 A minha boca relatará a tua justiça e de contínuo os feitos da tua salvação, ainda que eu não saiba o seu número.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord Jehovah; I will keep in remembrance Your righteousness; Yours alone.
16 Sinto-me na força do Senhor Deus; e rememoro a tua justiça, a tua somente.
17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I have declared Your marvelous works.
17 Tu me tens ensinado, ó Deus, desde a minha mocidade; e até agora tenho anunciado as tuas maravilhas.
18 And now when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not leave me, until I have declared Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone who is to come.
18 Não me desampares, pois, ó Deus, até à minha velhice e às cãs; até que eu tenha declarado à presente geração a tua força e às vindouras o teu poder.
19 Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, You who have done great things. O God, who is like You,
19 Ora, a tua justiça, ó Deus, se eleva até aos céus. Grandes coisas tens feito, ó Deus; quem é semelhante a ti?
20 who has shown me great and evil distresses. You will revive me again, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
20 Tu, que me tens feito ver muitas angústias e males, me restaurarás ainda a vida e de novo me tirarás dos abismos da terra.
21 You will increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
21 Aumenta a minha grandeza, conforta-me novamente.
22 I will also give thanks unto You with the lute, O my God, for Your faithfulness. To You I will make music with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
22 Eu também te louvo com a lira, celebro a tua verdade, ó meu Deus; cantar-te-ei salmos na harpa, ó Santo de Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I make music unto You, and my soul, which You have redeemed.
23 Os meus lábios exultarão quando eu te salmodiar; também exultará a minha alma, que remiste.
24 My tongue also shall meditate on Your righteousness all day long; for those who seek evil upon me are abashed; they are brought to shame.
24 Igualmente a minha língua celebrará a tua justiça todo o dia; pois estão envergonhados e confundidos os que procuram o mal contra mim.
