1 The `title of the hundrid and fifthe salm. Alleluya. Kouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy is with outen ende.
1 Agradeçam a Deus, o Senhor , anunciem a sua grandeza e contem às nações as coisas que ele fez.
2 Who schal speke the powers of the Lord; schal make knowun alle hise preisyngis?
2 Cantem a Deus, cantem louvores a ele, falem dos seus atos maravilhosos.
3 Blessid ben thei that kepen dom; and doon riytfulnesse in al tyme.
3 Tenham orgulho daquilo que o Santo Deus tem feito. Que fique alegre o coração de todos os que adoram a Deus, o
4 Lord, haue thou mynde on vs in the good plesaunce of thi puple; visite thou vs in thin heelthe.
4 Procurem a ajuda do Senhor ; estejam sempre na sua presença. vocês, descendentes de Jacó, o escolhido de Deus, lembrem de tudo o que Deus tem feito, lembrem dos seus grandes e maravilhosos milagres e de como tem condenado os nossos inimigos!

9 Ele será fiel à aliança feita com Abraão e à promessa que fez com juramento a Isaque.
10 And he sauede hem fro the hond of hateris; and he ayen bouyte hem fro the hond of the enemye.
10 Deus fez uma aliança com Jacó para sempre, fez com ele uma aliança eterna.
11 And the watir hilide men troublynge hem; oon of hem abood not.
11 Naquela ocasião Deus disse: “Eu lhe darei a terra de Canaã, e ela será de vocês para sempre.”
12 And thei bileueden to hise wordis; and thei preisiden the heriynge of hym.

13 Thei hadden `soone do, thei foryaten hise werkis; and thei abididen not his councel.
13 Andavam de país em país, de reino em reino.
14 And thei coueitiden coueitise in deseert; and temptiden God in a place with out watir.
14 Mas Deus não deixou que ninguém os maltratasse e, para protegê-los, avisou reis.

16 Deus fez com que houvesse fome na terra deles e deixou o seu povo sem alimento.

17 Então mandou na frente deles um homem chamado José, que havia sido vendido como escravo.
18 And fier brente an hiye in the synagoge of hem; flawme brente synneris.
18 Os seus pés foram presos com correntes, e no seu pescoço puseram uma coleira de ferro.
19 And thei maden a calf in Oreb; and worschipiden a yotun ymage.
19 José ficou na prisão até que se cumpriu o que ele tinha dito. A palavra do que José estava certo.
20 And thei chaungiden her glorie; in to the liknesse of a calf etynge hei.
20 Aí o rei do Egito mandou soltá-lo; o rei de muitas nações o pôs em liberdade.
21 Thei foryaten God, that sauede hem, that dide grete werkis in Egipt,
21 Ele o colocou como a mais alta autoridade daquela terra, para governar o país inteiro.
22 merueils in the lond of Cham; feerdful thingis in the reed see.
22 José recebeu poder para dar ordens aos príncipes do reino e para orientar os conselheiros do rei.
23 And God seide, that he wolde leese hem; if Moises, his chosun man, hadde not stonde in the brekyng of his siyt. That he schulde turne awei his ire; lest he loste hem.
23 Depois Jacó foi para o Egito e ficou morando naquela terra.
24 And thei hadden the desirable lond for nouyt, thei bileueden not to his word, and thei grutchiden in her tabernaclis;
24 O Senhor Deus fez com que o seu povo tivesse muitos filhos e o tornou mais forte do que os seus inimigos.
25 thei herden not the vois of the Lord.
25 Ele fez com que os egípcios odiassem o seu povo e fez com que enganassem os israelitas, os servos de Deus.
26 And he reiside his hond on hem; to caste doun hem in desert.
26 Então Deus enviou o seu servo Moisés e também Arão, a quem havia escolhido.
27 And to caste awei her seed in naciouns; and to leese hem in cuntreis.
27 Eles fizeram milagres de Deus no Egito e ali realizaram coisas maravilhosas.
28 And thei maden sacrifice to Belfagor; and thei eeten the sacrificis of deed beestis.
28 Deus mandou uma escuridão, que cobriu a terra, mas os egípcios não obedeceram às suas ordens.
29 And thei wraththiden God in her fyndyngis; and fallyng was multiplied in hem.
29 Ele transformou em sangue os rios do Egito e matou todos os seus peixes.
30 And Fynees stood, and pleeside God; and the veniaunce ceesside.
30 A terra do Egito ficou cheia de rãs, que invadiram até o palácio do rei.
31 And it was arrettid to hym to riytfulnesse; in generacioun and in to generacioun, til in to with outen ende.
31 Deus deu ordem, e moscas e piolhos encheram todo o país.
32 And thei wraththiden God at the watris of ayenseiyng; and Moises was trauelid for hem, for thei maden bittere his spirit,
32 Em vez de chuva, ele mandou chuva de pedra e relâmpagos sobre a terra.
33 and he departide in his lippis.
33 Deus destruiu as plantações de uvas e de figos e derrubou todas as árvores.
34 Thei losten not hethen men; whiche the Lord seide to hem.
34 Ele deu ordem, e vieram gafanhotos, tantos, que nem podiam ser contados.
35 And thei weren meddlid among hethene men, and lerneden the werkis of hem,
35 Os gafanhotos comeram todas as plantas, todas as colheitas do Egito.
36 and serueden the grauen ymagis of hem; and it was maad to hem in to sclaundre.
36 Ele matou o filho mais velho de todas as famílias dos egípcios, matou aqueles que eram o orgulho dessas famílias.
37 And thei offriden her sones; and her douytris to feendis.
37 Então Deus tirou os israelitas daquele país, e eles levaram consigo prata e ouro. Todos eram fortes e cheios de saúde.
38 And thei schedden out innocent blood, the blood of her sones and of her douytris; whiche thei sacrificiden to the grauun ymagis of Chanaan.
38 Os egípcios ficaram contentes quando os israelitas foram embora, pois estavam com medo deles.
39 And the erthe was slayn in bloodis, and was defoulid in the werkis of hem; and thei diden fornicacioun in her fyndyngis.
39 Deus pôs uma nuvem por cima do seu povo e fogo para guiá-los durante a noite.
40 And the Lord was wrooth bi strong veniaunce ayens his puple; and hadde abhominacioun of his eritage.
40 Eles pediram, e Deus mandou codornas e do céu deu a eles pão bastante para matar a fome.
41 And he bitook hem in to the hondis of hethene men; and thei that hatiden hem, weren lordis of hem.
41 Ele partiu uma rocha, e jorrou água, que correu pelo deserto como um rio.
42 And her enemyes diden tribulacioun to hem, and thei weren mekid vndir the hondis of enemyes;
42 Pois ele lembrou da sua santa promessa feita a Abraão, seu servo.
43 ofte he delyuerede hem. But thei wraththiden hym in her counsel; and thei weren maad low in her wickidnessis.
43 Assim Deus tirou do Egito o seu povo escolhido, e eles saíram de lá cantando e gritando de alegria.
44 And he siye, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he herde the preyer of hem.
44 Deus lhes deu as terras de outras nações e deixou que tomassem os campos delas,
45 And he was myndeful of his testament; and it repentide hym bi the multitude of his merci.
45 para que eles obedecessem às suas leis e guardassem os seus mandamentos.
46 And he yaf hem in to mercies; in the siyt of alle men, that hadden take hem.

47 Oure Lord God, make thou vs saaf; and gadere togidere vs fro naciouns. That we knouleche to thin hooli name; and haue glorie in thi preisyng.
