¹ It is seemly to praise you, O God, in Zion, and to you shall the vow be performed in Jerusalem.

¹ O louvor te aguarda em Sião, ó Deus; os votos que te fizemos serão cumpridos.

² O you who hear prayer, unto you shall all flesh come.

² Ó tu que ouves a oração, a ti virão todos os homens.

³ Our sins are too mighty for us, our transgressions you only can cover them.

³ Quando os nossos pecados pesavam sobre nós, tu mesmo fizeste propiciação por nossas transgressões.

⁴ Happy the person whom you choose to live beside you in your courts. O may we be filled with the joys of your house, of your holy temple.

⁴ Como são felizes aqueles que escolhes e trazes a ti, para viverem nos teus átrios! Transbordamos de bênçãos da tua casa, do teu santo templo!

⁵ In dread deeds you loyally answer us, O God of our salvation, whom all ends of the earth put their trust in, and islands far away.

⁵ Tu nos respondes com temíveis feitos de justiça, ó Deus, nosso Salvador, esperança de todos os confins da terra e dos mais distantes mares.

⁶ By your strength you establish the hills, you are armed with might;

⁶ Tu que firmaste os montes pela tua força, pelo teu grande poder.

⁷ you still the roaring of seas, and the turmoil of nations,

⁷ Tu que acalmas o bramido dos mares, o bramido de suas ondas, e o tumulto das nações.

⁸ so that those who live at earth’s bounds are awed at your signs: the lands of the sunrise and sunset you make to ring with joy.

⁸ Tremem os habitantes das terras distantes diante das tuas maravilhas; do nascente ao poente despertas canções de alegria.

⁹ You visit and water the earth; you greatly enrich her with the river of God, which is full of water. You prepare the corn thereof,

⁹ Cuidas da terra e a regas; fartamente a enriqueces. Os riachos de Deus transbordam para que nunca falte o trigo, pois assim ordenaste.

¹⁰ watering her furrows, settling her ridges; you make her soft with showers, and bless what grows thereon.

¹⁰ Encharcas os seus sulcos e aplainas os seus torrões; tu a amoleces com chuvas e abençoas as suas colheitas.

¹¹ You crown the year with your goodness, your chariot-tracks drip with fatness.

¹¹ Coroas o ano com a tua bondade, e por onde passas emana fartura;

¹² The desert pastures are lush, the hills greened with joy.

¹² fartura vertem as pastagens do deserto, e as colinas se vestem de alegria.

¹³ The meadows are clothed with flocks, the valleys are covered with corn; they shout to each other and sing.

¹³ Os campos se revestem de rebanhos e os vales se cobrem de trigo; eles exultam e cantam de alegria!
