1 A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself with evil doers; and do not be envious against the workers of iniquity.
1 Não te indignes por causa dos malfeitores, nem tenhas inveja dos que praticam a iniquidade.
2 For they shall soon wither like the grass; and fade as the green herb.
2 Pois eles dentro em breve definharão como a relva e murcharão como a erva verde.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth.
3 Confia no Senhor e faze o bem; habita na terra e alimenta-te da verdade.
4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
4 Agrada-te do Senhor , e ele satisfará os desejos do teu coração.
5 Roll your way on the LORD; trust also in Him, and He will work.
5 Entrega o teu caminho ao Senhor , confia nele, e o mais ele fará.
6 And He shall bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your judgment like the noonday.
6 Fará sobressair a tua justiça como a luz e o teu direito, como o sol ao meio-dia.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of him who practices wickedness.
7 Descansa no Senhor e espera nele, não te irrites por causa do homem que prospera em seu caminho, por causa do que leva a cabo os seus maus desígnios.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret yourself to do evil.
8 Deixa a ira, abandona o furor; não te impacientes; certamente, isso acabará mal.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
9 Porque os malfeitores serão exterminados, mas os que esperam no
10 It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.
10 Mais um pouco de tempo, e já não existirá o ímpio; procurarás o seu lugar e não o acharás.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.
11 Mas os mansos herdarão a terra e se deleitarão na abundância de paz.
12 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth.
12 Trama o ímpio contra o justo e contra ele ringe os dentes.
13 The LORD laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
13 Rir-se-á dele o Senhor, pois vê estar-se aproximando o seu dia.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.
14 Os ímpios arrancam da espada e distendem o arco para abater o pobre e necessitado, para matar os que trilham o reto caminho.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
15 A sua espada, porém, lhes traspassará o próprio coração, e os seus arcos serão espedaçados.
16 A little to the righteous is better than the riches of many wicked.
16 Mais vale o pouco do justo que a abundância de muitos ímpios.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the righteous.
17 Pois os braços dos ímpios serão quebrados, mas os justos, o
18 The LORD knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
18 O Senhor conhece os dias dos íntegros; a herança deles permanecerá para sempre.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19 Não serão envergonhados nos dias do mal e nos dias da fome se fartarão.
20 But the wicked shall pass, and the enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of pastures; they are consumed, like smoke they perish.
20 Os ímpios, no entanto, perecerão, e os inimigos do serão aniquilados e se desfarão em fumaça.
21 The wicked borrows, and never pays again; but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.
21 O ímpio pede emprestado e não paga; o justo, porém, se compadece e dá.
22 For His blessed ones shall inherit the earth; and those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
22 Aqueles a quem o Senhor abençoa possuirão a terra; e serão exterminados aqueles a quem amaldiçoa.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD; and He delights in his way.
23 O Senhor firma os passos do homem bom e no seu caminho se compraz;
24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down; for the LORD upholds his hand.
24 se cair, não ficará prostrado, porque o
25 I have been young, and am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread.
25 Fui moço e já, agora, sou velho, porém jamais vi o justo desamparado, nem a sua descendência a mendigar o pão.
26 All the day long he deals graciously, and lends; and his seed is blessed.
26 É sempre compassivo e empresta, e a sua descendência será uma bênção.
27 Depart from evil and do good; and live forevermore.
27 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem, e será perpétua a tua morada.
28 For the LORD loves judgment and does not forsake His saints; they are kept forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
28 Pois o Senhor ama a justiça e não desampara os seus santos; serão preservados para sempre, mas a descendência dos ímpios será exterminada.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.
29 Os justos herdarão a terra e nela habitarão para sempre.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.
30 A boca do justo profere a sabedoria, e a sua língua fala o que é justo.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
31 No coração, tem ele a lei do seu Deus; os seus passos não vacilarão.
32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
32 O perverso espreita ao justo e procura tirar-lhe a vida.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty when he is judged.
33 Mas o Senhor não o deixará nas suas mãos, nem o condenará quando for julgado.
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall lift you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
34 Espera no Senhor , segue o seu caminho, e ele te exaltará para possuíres a terra; presenciarás isso quando os ímpios forem exterminados.
35 I have seen the wicked ruthless, and spreading himself like a luxuriant native tree.
35 Vi um ímpio prepotente a expandir-se qual cedro do Líbano.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.
36 Passei, e eis que desaparecera; procurei-o, e já não foi encontrado.
37 Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.
37 Observa o homem íntegro e atenta no que é reto; porquanto o homem de paz terá posteridade.
38 But the sinners are destroyed together; the end of the wicked is cut off.
38 Quanto aos transgressores, serão, à uma, destruídos; a descendência dos ímpios será exterminada.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
39 Vem do Senhor a salvação dos justos; ele é a sua fortaleza no dia da tribulação.
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.
40 O Senhor os ajuda e os livra; livra-os dos ímpios e os salva, porque nele buscam refúgio.
