1 A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself with evil doers; and do not be envious against the workers of iniquity.
1 NÃO te indignes por causa dos malfeitores, nem tenhas inveja dos que praticam a iniqüidade.
2 For they shall soon wither like the grass; and fade as the green herb.
2 Porque cedo serão ceifados como a erva, e murcharão como a verdura.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth.
3 Confia no Senhor e faze o bem; habitarás na terra, e verdadeiramente serás alimentado.
4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
4 Deleita-te também no Senhor, e te concederá os desejos do teu coração.
5 Roll your way on the LORD; trust also in Him, and He will work.
5 Entrega o teu caminho ao Senhor; confia nele, e ele o fará.
6 And He shall bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your judgment like the noonday.
6 E ele fará sobressair a tua justiça como a luz, e o teu juízo como o meio-dia.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of him who practices wickedness.
7 Descansa no Senhor, e espera nele; não te indignes por causa daquele que prospera em seu caminho, por causa do homem que executa astutos intentos.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret yourself to do evil.
8 Deixa a ira, e abandona o furor; não te indignes de forma alguma para fazer o mal.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
9 Porque os malfeitores serão desarraigados; mas aqueles que esperam no Senhor herdarão a terra.
10 It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.
10 Pois ainda um pouco, e o ímpio não existirá; olharás para o seu lugar, e não aparecerá.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.
11 Mas os mansos herdarão a terra, e se deleitarão na abundância de paz.
12 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth.
12 O ímpio maquina contra o justo, e contra ele range os dentes.
13 The LORD laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
13 O Senhor se rirá dele, pois vê que vem chegando o seu dia.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.
14 Os ímpios puxaram da espada e armaram o arco, para derrubarem o pobre e necessitado, e para matarem os de reta conduta.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
15 Porém a sua espada lhes entrará no coração, e os seus arcos se quebrarão.
16 A little to the righteous is better than the riches of many wicked.
16 Vale mais o pouco que tem o justo, do que as riquezas de muitos ímpios.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the righteous.
17 Pois os braços dos ímpios se quebrarão, mas o Senhor sustém os justos.
18 The LORD knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
18 O Senhor conhece os dias dos retos, e a sua herança permanecerá para sempre.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19 Não serão envergonhados nos dias maus, e nos dias de fome se fartarão.
20 But the wicked shall pass, and the enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of pastures; they are consumed, like smoke they perish.
20 Mas os ímpios perecerão, e os inimigos do Senhor serão como a gordura dos cordeiros; desaparecerão, e em fumaça se desfarão.
21 The wicked borrows, and never pays again; but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.
21 O ímpio toma emprestado, e não paga; mas o justo se compadece e dá.
22 For His blessed ones shall inherit the earth; and those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
22 Porque aqueles que ele abençoa herdarão a terra, e aqueles que forem por ele amaldiçoados serão desarraigados.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD; and He delights in his way.
23 Os passos de um homem bom são confirmados pelo Senhor, e deleita-se no seu caminho.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down; for the LORD upholds his hand.
24 Ainda que caia, não ficará prostrado, pois o Senhor o sustém com a sua mão.
25 I have been young, and am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread.
25 Fui moço, e agora sou velho; mas nunca vi desamparado o justo, nem a sua semente a mendigar o pão.
26 All the day long he deals graciously, and lends; and his seed is blessed.
26 Compadece-se sempre, e empresta, e a sua semente é abençoada.
27 Depart from evil and do good; and live forevermore.
27 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem; e terás morada para sempre.
28 For the LORD loves judgment and does not forsake His saints; they are kept forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
28 Porque o Senhor ama o juízo e não desampara os seus santos; eles são preservados para sempre; mas a semente dos ímpios será desarraigada.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.
29 Os justos herdarão a terra e habitarão nela para sempre.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.
30 A boca do justo fala a sabedoria; a sua língua fala do juízo.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
31 A lei do seu Deus está em seu coração; os seus passos não resvalarão.
32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
32 O ímpio espreita ao justo, e procura matá-lo.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty when he is judged.
33 O Senhor não o deixará em suas mãos, nem o condenará quando for julgado.
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall lift you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
34 Espera no Senhor, e guarda o seu caminho, e te exaltará para herdares a terra; tu o verás quando os ímpios forem desarraigados.
35 I have seen the wicked ruthless, and spreading himself like a luxuriant native tree.
35 Vi o ímpio com grande poder espalhar-se como a árvore verde na terra natal.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.
36 Mas passou e já não aparece; procurei-o, mas não se pôde encontrar.
37 Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.
37 Nota o homem sincero, e considera o reto, porque o fim desse homem é a paz.
38 But the sinners are destroyed together; the end of the wicked is cut off.
38 Quanto aos transgressores, serão à uma destruídos, e as relíquias dos ímpios serão destruídas.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
39 Mas a salvação dos justos vem do Senhor; ele é a sua fortaleza no tempo da angústia.
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.
40 E o Senhor os ajudará e os livrará; ele os livrará dos ímpios e os salvará, porquanto confiam nele.
