¹ A Song, A Psalm for the Sons of Korah. Great is Jehovah, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, His holy mountain.

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, na cidade do nosso Deus.

² Beautiful on high, the joy of all the earth, is Mount Zion, in the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

² Seu santo monte, belo e sobranceiro, é a alegria de toda a terra; o monte Sião, para os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God is known in her strongholds for a refuge.

³ Nos palácios dela, Deus se faz conhecer como alto refúgio.

⁴ For, lo, the kings met together; they passed by together;

⁴ Por isso, eis que os reis se coligaram e juntos sumiram-se;

⁵ they saw, so they marveled; they were troubled and fled away.

⁵ bastou-lhes vê-lo, e se espantaram, tomaram-se de assombro e fugiram apressados.

⁶ Trembling and pain seized them there, like a woman in labor.

⁷ You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

⁷ Com vento oriental destruíste as naus de Társis.

⁸ As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God. God establishes it forever. Selah.

¹² Walk around Zion; yea, go all around it; count its towers;

¹² Percorrei a Sião, rodeai-a toda, contai-lhe as torres;

¹³ set your heart on its ramparts; pass between its strongholds; in order that you may report to the coming generation.

¹³ notai bem os seus baluartes, observai os seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações vindouras

¹⁴ For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even unto death.

¹⁴ que este é Deus, o nosso Deus para todo o sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
