Isaías 32

1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
1 Vejam! Um rei reinará com retidão, e príncipes governarão com justiça.
2 And a man shall be a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place; like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
2 Cada homem será como um esconderijo contra o vento e um abrigo contra a tempestade, como correntes de água numa terra seca e como a sombra de uma grande rocha no deserto.
3 And the eyes of those that see shall not be dim, and the ears of those who hear shall listen.
3 Então os olhos dos que vêem não estarão mais fechados, e os ouvidos dos que ouvem escutarão.
4 And the heart of the rash shall discern knowledge; and the tongue of those that stutter shall hurry to speak clear things.
4 A mente do precipitado saberá julgar, e a língua gaguejante falará com facilidade e clareza.
5 The fool shall no more be called noble, and a miser will not be said to be generous.
5 O tolo já não será chamado nobre e o homem sem caráter não será tido em alta estima.
6 For the fool speaks foolishness, and his heart works iniquity, to do ungodliness; and to speak error against Jehovah, to make the hungry soul empty; and he causes the drink of the thirsty to fail.
6 Pois o insensato fala com insensatez e só pensa no mal: Ele pratica a maldade e espalha mentiras sobre o Senhor; deixa o faminto sem nada e priva de água o sedento.
7 And the weapons of the miser are evil; he devises wicked plots to destroy the poor with lying words, even the needy when he speaks right.
7 As artimanhas do homem sem caráter são perversas; ele inventa planos maldosos para destruir com mentiras o pobre, mesmo quando a súplica deste é justa.
8 But the noble one devises noble things; and he shall rise by noble things.
8 Mas o homem nobre faz planos nobres, e graças aos seus feitos nobres permanece firme.
9 O women who are at ease, rise up. Hear my voice; confident daughters, listen to my word.
9 Vocês, mulheres tão complacentes, levantem-se e escutem-me! Vocês, filhas que se sentem seguras, ouçam o que lhes vou dizer!
10 You will shake for days on a year, confident women; for the vintage fails; the harvest will not come.
10 Daqui a pouco mais de um ano, vocês, que se sentem seguras, ficarão apavoradas; a colheita de uvas falhará, e a colheita de frutas não virá.
11 Tremble, women at ease; shake, confident women; strip and make yourselves bare, and bind on sackcloth on your loins;
11 Tremam, vocês, mulheres tranqüilas! Estremeçam, vocês, que se sentem seguras! Arranquem suas vestes, e vistam roupas de lamento na cintura.
12 be wailing over breasts, over pleasant fields, over the fruitful vine.
12 Batam no peito e chorem pelos campos agradáveis, pelas videiras frutíferas
13 Thorns and briers shall spring up on the land of My people; even over all the houses of joy in the jubilant city,
13 e pela terra do meu povo, terra infestada de espinhos e roseiras bravas; sim, pranteiem por todas as casas cheias de júbilo e por esta cidade exultante.
14 because the palace is forsaken; the crowd of the city is forsaken; mound and tower are instead caves, until forever; a joy of wild asses; pasture for flocks;
14 A fortaleza será abandonada, a cidade barulhenta ficará deserta, a cidadela e a torre de sentinela se tornarão covis, uma delícia para os jumentos, uma pastagem para os rebanhos,
15 until is poured out on us the Spirit from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field; and the fruitful field is reckoned as a forest.
15 até que sobre nós o Espírito seja derramado do alto, e o deserto se transforme em campo fértil, e o campo fértil pareça uma floresta.
16 Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness shall dwell in the fruitful field.
16 A justiça habitará no deserto, e a retidão viverá no campo fértil.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the service of righteousness shall be quietness and hope forever.
17 O fruto da justiça será paz; o resultado da justiça será tranqüilidade e confiança para sempre.
18 And My people shall live in a peaceful home, and in safe dwellings, and in secure resting places.
18 O meu povo viverá em locais pacíficos, em casas seguras, em tranqüilos lugares de descanso,
19 Though it hails when the forest is felled, and the city is laid low,
19 mesmo que a saraiva arrase a floresta e a cidade seja nivelada ao pó.
20 blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the foot of the ox and the ass.
20 Como vocês serão felizes, semeando perto das águas, e deixando soltos os bois e os jumentos!
