1 Alors Jefus prenant la parole, leur parla derechef en fimilitude, difant,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 Le royaume des cieux eft femblable à un roi qui fit les nopces de fon fils:
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Et envoya fes ferviteurs, pour appeller ceux qui avoyent efté conviez aux nopces: mais ils n'y voulurent point venir.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Derechef il envoya d'autres ferviteurs, difant, Dites aux conviez, Voici, j'ai apprefté mon difner, mes taureaux & mes beftes engraiffées font tuées, & tout eft preft: venez aux nopces.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Mais eux n'en tenans conte, s'en allerent, l'un à fa métairie, & l'autre à fon trafic.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Et les autres prirent fes ferviteurs, & les outragerent, & les tuërent.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Quand le roi l'entendit, il fe mit en colere: & ayant envoyé fes gens de guerre, il fit perir ces meurtriers-là, & brufla leur ville.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Alors il dit à fes ferviteurs, Or bien, les nopces font appreftées, mais ceux qui eftoyent conviez n'en eftoyent pas dignes.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Allez donc aux quarrefours des chemins, & autant que vous en trouverez, conviez-les aux nopces.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Alors fes ferviteurs fortirent vers les chemins, & affemblerent autant qu'ils en trouverent, tant mauvais que bons: tellement que le lieu des nopces fut rempli de gens qui eftoyent à table.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Et le roi y eftant entré, pour voir ceux qui eftoyent à table, vid là un homme qui n'eftoit pas veftu d'une robbe de nopces.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Et il lui dit, Compagnon, comment es-tu entré ici fans avoir une robbe de nopces? Et il eut la bouche clofe.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Alors le roi dit aux ferviteurs, Liez-le pieds & mains, & le jettez és tenebres de dehors: là il y aura pleur & grincement de dents.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Car il y a beaucoup d'appellez, mais peu d'éleus.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Alors les Pharifiens s'eftans retirez, prirent confeil comment ils l'enlaceroyent en paroles.

16 Et lui envoyerent leurs difciples avec des Herodiens, difans, Maiftre, nous fçavons que tu es veritable, & que tu enfeignes la voye de Dieu en verité, & que tu ne te foucies de perfonne: car tu ne regardes point à l'apparence des hommes.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Di-nous donc ce qui te femble? Eft-il permis de payer tribut à Cefar, ou non?
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Et Jefus connoiffant leur malice, dit, Hypocrites, pourquoi me tentez-vous?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Montrez-moi la monnoye du tribut. Et ils lui prefenterent un denier.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Et il leur dit, De qui eft cette image, & cette infcription?
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Ils lui dirent, De Cefar. Alors il leur dit, Rendez donc à Cefar les chofes qui font à Cefar, & à Dieu celles qui font à Dieu.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Oyans cela ils s'eftonnerent, & le laiffant s'en allerent.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Ce jour-là les Sadduciens (qui difent qu'il n'y a point de refurrection) vinrent à luy, & l'interrogerent:

24 Difans, Maiftre, Moyfe a dit, Si quelqu'un vient à mourir fans avoir des enfans, fon frere prendra la femme d'icelui, & fufcitera lignée à fon frere.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Or il y avoit parmi nous fept freres, dont le premier apres qu'il fut marié mourut, & n'ayant point eu lignée, laiffa fa femme à fon frere.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Semblablement auffi le fecond, puis le troifiéme, jufques au feptiéme.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Or apres eux tous, la femme mourut auffi.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 En la refurrection donc, duquel des fept fera-t'elle femme? car tous l'ont euë.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Mais Jefus refpondant leur dit, Vous errez, ne fçachans point les Efcritures, ni la vertu de Dieu.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Car en la refurrection, on ne prend ni on ne donne des femmes en mariage: mais on eft comme les Anges de Dieu au ciel.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Et quant à la refurrection des morts, n'avez-vous point leu ce dont Dieu vous a parlé, difant,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 Je fuis le Dieu d'Abraham, & le Dieu d'Ifaac, & le Dieu de Jacob? Dieu n'eft pas le Dieu des morts, mais le Dieu des vivans.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Et les troupes oyans cela, s'estonnoyent de fa doctrine.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Or quand les Pharifiens entendirent qu'il avoit fermé la bouche aux Sadduciens, ils s'affemblerent d'un accord.
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 Et l'un d'entr'eux, docteur de la Loi, l'interrogea en le tentant, & difant,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 Maiftre, lequel eft le grand commandement de la Loi?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Jefus lui dit, Tu aimeras le Seigneur ton Dieu de tout ton coeur, & de toute ton ame, & de toute ta penfée.
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Celui-ci eft le premier & le grand commandement.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Et le fecond femblable à icelui eft, Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-mefme.
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 De ces deux commandemens dependent toute la Loi & les Prophetes.
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Et les Pharifiens eftans affemblez, Jefus les interrogea,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 Difant, Que vous femble-t'il du Chrift? de qui eft-il Fils? Ils lui refpondirent, de David.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Et il leur dit, Comment donc David l'appelle-t'il en Efprit, Seigneur? difant,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur, Sieds-toi à ma dextre, jufques à ce que j'aye mis tes ennemis pour le marchepied de tes pieds.
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Si donc David l'appelle Seigneur, comment eft-il fon Fils?
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Et nul ne lui pouvoit refpondre un feul mot: & perfonne ne l'ofa plus interroger depuis ce jour-là.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
