1 And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,
1 E Jesus, saindo, partiu do templo, e aproximaram-se dele os seus discípulos para lhe mostrarem os edifícios do templo.
2 and Jesus said to them, 'Do you not see all these? Verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'
2 Mas Jesus lhes disse: Não vedes todas estas coisas? Na verdade eu vos digo que não ficará aqui uma pedra sobre a outra que não seja derrubada.
3 And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, 'Tell us, when shall these be? And what is the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'
3 E, estando ele assentado no monte das Oliveiras, chegaram-se a ele os seus discípulos em particular, dizendo: Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e qual será o sinal da tua vinda, e do fim do mundo?
4 And Jesus answering said to them, 'Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
4 E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Fiquem atentos para que nenhum homem vos engane.
5 for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,
5 Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos.
6 and you shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behooves allthese to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
6 E ouvireis de guerras e de rumores de guerras; olhai, para que não vos perturbeis; pois todas essas coisas devem acontecer, mas ainda não é o fim.
7 'For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;
7 Pois se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino; e haverá fomes, e pestes, e terremotos em vários lugares.
8 and all theseare the beginning of sorrows.
8 Todos estes são o princípio das dores.
9 Then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and you shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;
9 Então vos hão de entregar para serdes atormentados, e vos matarão; e sereis odiados de todas as nações por causa do meu nome.
10 and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
10 E então muitos se ofenderão, e trairão uns aos outros, e uns aos outros se odiarão.
11 'And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;
11 E surgirão muitos falsos profetas, e enganarão a muitos.
12 and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;
12 E, por se multiplicar a iniquidade, o amor de muitos esfriará.
13 but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;
13 Mas aquele que suportar até o fim, esse será salvo.
14 and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.
14 E este evangelho do reino será pregado em todo o mundo, como testemunho para todas as nações; e então virá o fim.
15 'Whenever, therefore, you may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
15 Quando, pois, virdes a abominação da desolação, falado pelo profeta Daniel, posta no santo lugar, (quem lê, entenda);
16 then those in Judea -- let them flee to the mounts;
16 então, os que estiverem na Judeia, fujam para os montes.
17 he on the house-top -- let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;
17 E quem estiver sobre o telhado não desça para tirar alguma coisa de sua casa.
18 and he in the field -- let him not turn back to take his garments.
18 Nem volte aquele que estiver no campo para buscar as suas vestes.
19 'And woo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
19 Mas ai das grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias!
20 and pray you that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;
20 Mas orai para que a vossa fuga não seja no inverno, nem no dia do shabat.
21 for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.
21 Porque haverá então grande tribulação, como nunca houve desde o princípio do mundo até agora, nem jamais haverá.
22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.
22 E, se aqueles dias não fossem abreviados, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas por causa dos eleitos serão abreviados aqueles dias.
23 'Then if any one may say to you, Lo, hereis the Christ! Or here! You may not believe;
23 Então, se algum homem vos disser: Eis que o Cristo está aqui, ou ali, não acrediteis.
24 for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
24 Porque hão de surgir falsos cristos e falsos profetas, e farão tão grandes sinais e maravilhas que, se possível fora, enganariam até os eleitos.
25 Lo, I did tell you beforehand.
25 Eis que de antemão eu vos tenho dito.
26 'If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, you may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, you may not believe;
26 Portanto, se vos disserem: Eis que ele está no deserto; não saiais. Eis que ele está no esconderijo secreto; não acrediteis.
27 for as the lightning does come forth from the east, and does appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
27 Porque, assim como o relâmpago sai do Oriente e brilha até o Ocidente, assim também será a vinda do Filho do homem.
28 for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.
28 Pois onde estiver o cadáver, ali se ajuntarão as águias.
29 'And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;
29 Imediatamente após a tribulação daqueles dias, escurecerá o sol, e a lua não dará a sua luz, e as estrelas cairão do céu, e os poderes do céu serão abalados.
30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;
30 E então aparecerá no céu o sinal do Filho do homem; e todas as tribos da terra se lamentarão, e eles verão o Filho do homem vindo nas nuvens do céu, com poder e grande glória.
31 and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
31 E ele enviará os seus anjos com grande som de trombeta, e eles ajuntarão os seus eleitos desde os quatro ventos, de uma extremidade do céu à outra.
32 'And from the fig-tree learn you the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, you know that summeris near,
32 Agora, aprendei uma parábola da figueira: Quando seu ramo estiver ainda tenro, e brotarem folhas, sabeis que o verão está próximo.
33 so also you, when you may see all these, you know that it is near -- at the doors.
33 Igualmente, quando virdes todas estas coisas, sabei que ele está próximo, às portas.
34 Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.
34 Na verdade eu vos digo: Esta geração não passará, até que todas essas coisas se realizem.
35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
35 O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
36 'And concerning that day and the hour no one has known -- not even the messengers of the heavens -- except my Father only;
36 Mas daquele dia e hora nenhum homem sabe, não, nem os anjos do céu, mas unicamente meu Pai.
37 and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
37 E, como foi nos dias de Noé, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem.
38 for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,
38 Pois, assim como nos dias anteriores ao dilúvio, comiam, bebiam, casavam e davam-se em casamento, até o dia em que Noé entrou na arca,
39 and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.
39 e não o souberam até que veio o dilúvio, e os levou a todos; assim também será a vinda do Filho do homem.
40 Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
40 Então, estando dois no campo, um será tomado, e deixado o outro.
41 two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
41 Estando duas mulheres moendo no moinho, uma será tomada, e a outra deixada.
42 'Watch you therefore, because you have not known in what hour your Lord does come;
42 Vigiai, portanto, porque não sabeis a que hora há de vir o vosso Senhor.
43 and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief does come, he had watched, and not permitted his house to be broken through;
43 Sabei, porém, que se o dono da casa soubesse a que vigília viria o ladrão, ele vigiaria e não deixaria sua casa ser arrombada.
44 because of this also you, become you ready, because in what hour you do not think, the Son of Man does come.
44 Por isso, estai vós prontos também; porque à hora que não pensais, o Filho do homem virá.
45 'Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
45 Quem é, pois, o servo fiel e prudente, a quem seu senhor fez governante sobre sua casa, para dar-lhes sustento na devida estação?
46 Blessed that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
46 Bendito é aquele servo que o seu senhor, quando vier, achar assim fazendo.
47 verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.
47 Na verdade eu vos digo que ele o fará governante sobre todos os seus bens.
48 'And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord does delay to come,
48 Mas se aquele mau servo disser no seu coração: O meu senhor tarda em vir,
49 and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
49 e começar a espancar os seus conservos, e a comer e a beber com os beberrões,
50 the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he does not expect, and in an hour of which he does not know,
50 virá o senhor daquele servo no dia em que ele não o espera, e na hora de que ele não sabe,
51 and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
51 e cortá-lo-á pelo meio, e destinará a sua parte com os hipócritas; ali haverá pranto e ranger de dentes.
