1 Como é agradável o lugar de tua habitação, ó S
2 How lovely is thy dwelling place, O LORD of hosts!
2 Sinto desejo profundo, sim, morro de vontade de entrar nos pátios do S Com todo o meu coração e todo o meu ser, aclamarei ao Deus vivo.
3 My soul longs, yea, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
3 Até o pardal encontra um lar, e a andorinha faz um ninho e cria seus filhotes perto do teu altar, ó S
4 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at thy altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.
4 Como são felizes os que habitam em tua casa, sempre cantando louvores a ti! Interlúdio
5 Blessed are those who dwell in thy house, ever singing thy praise! [Selah]
5 Como são felizes os que de ti recebem forças, os que decidem percorrer os teus caminhos.
6 Blessed are the men whose strength is in thee, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
6 Quando passarem pelo vale do Choro, ele se transformará num lugar de fontes revigorantes; as primeiras chuvas o cobrirão de bênçãos.
7 As they go through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.
7 Eles continuarão a se fortalecer, e cada um deles se apresentará diante de Deus, em Sião.
8 They go from strength to strength; the God of gods will be seen in Zion.
8 Ó S enhor , Deus dos Exércitos, ouve minha oração; escuta, ó Deus de Jacó! Interlúdio
9 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! [Selah]
9 Ó Deus, olha com favor para o rei, nosso escudo; mostra bondade ao teu ungido!
10 Behold our shield, O God; look upon the face of thine anointed!
10 Um só dia em teus pátios é melhor que mil dias em qualquer outro lugar. Prefiro ser porteiro da casa de meu Deus a viver na morada dos perversos.
11 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 Pois o S enhor Deus é nosso sol e nosso escudo; ele nos dá graça e honra. O S àqueles que andam no caminho certo.
12 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the LORD withhold from those who walk uprightly. [ (Psalms 84:13) O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in thee! ]
