1 Now when the wall had been built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed,
1 Ora, depois que o muro foi edificado, tendo eu assentado as portas, e havendo sido designados os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas,
2 I gave my brother Hana'ni and Hanani'ah the governor of the castle charge over Jerusalem, for he was a more faithful and God-fearing man than many.
2 pus Hanâni, meu irmão, e Hananias, governador do castelo, sobre Jerusalém; pois ele era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos;
3 And I said to them, "Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they are still standing guard let them shut and bar the doors. Appoint guards from among the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each to his station and each opposite his own house."
3 e eu lhes disse: Não se abram as portas de Jerusalém até que o sol aqueça; e enquanto os guardas estiverem nos postos se fechem e se tranquem as portas; e designei dentre os moradores de Jerusalém guardas, cada um por seu turno, e cada um diante da sua casa.
4 The city was wide and large, but the people within it were few and no houses had been built.
4 Ora, a cidade era larga e grande, mas o povo dentro dela era pouco, e ainda as casa não estavam edificadas.
5 Then God put it into my mind to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:
5 Então o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias. E achei o livro da genealogia dos que tinham subido primeiro e achei escrito nele o seguinte:
6 These were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exiles whom Nebuchadnez'zar the king of Babylon had carried into exile; they returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his town.
6 Este são os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro dentre os exilados, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, transportara e que voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade,
7 They came with Zerub'babel, Jeshua, Nehemi'ah, Azari'ah, Raami'ah, Naham'ani, Mor'decai, Bilshan, Mis'pereth, Bigva'i, Nehum, Ba'anah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
7 os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamâni, Mordecai, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. Este é o número dos homens do povo de Israel:
8 the sons of Parosh, two thousand a hundred and seventy-two.
8 foram os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois;
9 The sons of Shephati'ah, three hundred and seventy-two.
9 os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois;
10 The sons of Arah, six hundred and fifty-two.
10 os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois;
11 The sons of Pa'hath-mo'ab, namely the sons of Jeshua and Jo'ab, two thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
11 os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito;
12 The sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four.
12 os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinqüenta e quatro;
13 The sons of Zattu, eight hundred and forty-five.
13 os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco;
14 The sons of Zac'cai, seven hundred and sixty.
14 os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta;
15 The sons of Bin'nui, six hundred and forty-eight.
15 os filhos de Binuí, seiscentos e quarenta e oito;
16 The sons of Be'bai, six hundred and twenty-eight.
16 os filhos de Bebai, seiscentos e vinte e oito;
17 The sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty-two.
17 os filhos de Azgade, dois mil trezentos e vinte e dois;
18 The sons of Adoni'kam, six hundred and sixty-seven.
18 os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e sete;
19 The sons of Bigva'i, two thousand and sixty-seven.
19 os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e sessenta e sete;
20 The sons of Adin, six hundred and fifty-five.
20 os filhos de Adim, seiscentos e cinqüenta e cinco;
21 The sons of Ater, namely of Hezeki'ah, ninety-eight.
21 os filhos de Ater, de Ezequias, noventa e oito;
22 The sons of Hashum, three hundred and twenty-eight.
22 os filhos de Hasum, trezentos e vinte e oito;
23 The sons of Be'zai, three hundred and twenty-four.
23 os filhos de Bezai, trezentos e vinte e quatro;
24 The sons of Hariph, a hundred and twelve.
24 os filhos de Harife, cento e doze;
25 The sons of Gibeon, ninety-five.
25 os filhos de Gibeão, noventa e cinco;
26 The men of Bethlehem and Neto'phah, a hundred and eighty-eight.
26 os filhos de Belém e de Netofá, cento e oitenta e oito;
27 The men of An'athoth, a hundred and twenty-eight.
27 os homens de Anatote, cento e vinte e oito;
28 The men of Beth-az'maveth, forty-two.
28 os homens de Bete-Azmavete, quarenta e dois;
29 The men of Kir'iath-je'arim, Chephi'rah, and Be-er'oth, seven hundred and forty-three.

30 The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred and twenty-one.

32 The men of Bethel and Ai, a hundred and twenty-three.

34 The sons of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four.

37 The sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-one.

38 The sons of Sena'ah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

39 The priests: the sons of Jedai'ah, namely the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three.
39 Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jesuá, novecentos e setenta e três;
40 The sons of Immer, a thousand and fifty-two.
40 os filhos de Imer, mil e cinqüenta e dois;
41 The sons of Pashhur, a thousand two hundred and forty-seven.
41 os filhos de Pasur, mil duzentos e quarenta e sete;
42 The sons of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
42 os filhos de Harim, mil e dezessete;
43 The Levites: the sons of Jeshua, namely of Kad'mi-el of the sons of Ho'devah, seventy-four.
43 Os levitas: os filhos de Jesuá, de Cadmiel, dos filhos de Hodevá, setenta e quatro.
44 The singers: the sons of Asaph, a hundred and forty-eight.
44 Os cantores: os filhos de Asafe, cento e quarenta e oito.
45 The gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hati'ta, the sons of Sho'bai, a hundred and thirty-eight.
45 Os porteiros: os filhos de Salum, os filhos de Ater, os filhos de Talmom, os filhos de Acube, os filhos de Hatita, os filhos de Sobai, cento e trinta e oito.
46 The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasu'pha, the sons of Tabba'oth,

47 the sons of Keros, the sons of Si'a, the sons of Padon,

57 The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of So'tai, the sons of So'phereth, the sons of Peri'da,

58 the sons of Ja'ala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,

59 the sons of Shephati'ah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Po'chereth-hazzeba'im, the sons of Amon.
59 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Paquerete-Hazebaim e os filhos de Amom.
60 All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon's servants were three hundred and ninety-two.
60 Todos os netinins e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
61 The following were those who came up from Tel-me'lah, Tel-har'sha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not prove their fathers' houses nor their descent, whether they belonged to Israel:
61 Estes foram os que subiram de Tel-Mela, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom, e Imer; porém não puderam provar que as suas casas paternas e as sua linhagem eram de Israel:
62 the sons of Delai'ah, the sons of Tobi'ah, the sons of Neko'da, six hundred and forty-two.
62 os filhos de Dalaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
63 Also, of the priests: the sons of Hobai'ah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzil'lai (who had taken a wife of the daughters of Barzil'lai the Gileadite and was called by their name).
63 E dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Hobaías, os filhos Hacoz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomara por mulher uma das filhas Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.
64 These sought their registration among those enrolled in the genealogies, but it was not found there, so they were excluded from the priesthood as unclean;
64 Estes buscaram o seu registro entre os arrolados nos registros genealógicos, mas não foi encontrado; pelo que, tidos por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.
65 the governor told them that they were not to partake of the most holy food, until a priest with Urim and Thummim should arise.
65 E o governador lhes disse que não comesse das coisas sagradas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.
66 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
66 Toda esta congregação junta somava quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta;
67 besides their menservants and maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and they had two hundred and forty-five singers, male and female.
67 afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.
68 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six, their mules two hundred and forty-five,
68 Os seus cavalos foram setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;
69 their camels four hundred and thirty-five, and their asses six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
69 os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; e os seus jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
70 Now some of the heads of fathers' houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
70 Ora, alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para a tesouraria mil dários de ouro, cinqüenta bacias, e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.
71 And some of the heads of fathers' houses gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.
71 E alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas deram para a tesouraria da obra vinte mil dáricos de ouro, e duas mil e duzentas minas de prata.
72 And what the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests' garments.
72 O que o resto do povo deu foram vinte mil dáricos de ouro, duas mil minas de prata, e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.
73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel, lived in their towns. And when the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their towns.
73 Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns dentre o povo, os netinins e todo o Israel habitaram nas suas cidades. Quando chegou o sétimo mês, já se achavam os filhos de Israel nas suas cidades.
