Levítico 11

1 And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
1 E falou o SENHOR a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo-lhes:
2 "Say to the people of Israel, These are the living things which you may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
2 Fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Estes são os animais, que comereis dentre todos os animais que há sobre a terra;
3 Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
3 Dentre os animais, todo o que tem unhas fendidas, e a fenda das unhas se divide em duas, e rumina, deles comereis.
4 Nevertheless among those that chew the cud or part the hoof, you shall not eat these: The camel, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.
4 Destes, porém, não comereis; dos que ruminam ou dos que têm unhas fendidas; o camelo, que rumina, mas não tem unhas fendidas; esse vos será imundo;
5 And the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.
5 E o coelho, porque rumina, mas não tem as unhas fendidas; esse vos será imundo;
6 And the hare, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.
6 E a lebre, porque rumina, mas não tem as unhas fendidas; essa vos será imunda.
7 And the swine, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
7 Também o porco, porque tem unhas fendidas, e a fenda das unhas se divide em duas, mas não rumina; este vos será imundo.
8 Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.
8 Das suas carnes não comereis, nem tocareis nos seus cadáveres; estes vos serão imundos.
9 "These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.
9 De todos os animais que há nas águas, comereis os seguintes: todo o que tem barbatanas e escamas, nas águas, nos mares e nos rios, esses comereis.
10 But anything in the seas or the rivers that has not fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is an abomination to you.
10 Mas todo o que não tem barbatanas, nem escamas, nos mares e nos rios, todo o réptil das águas, e todo o ser vivente que há nas águas, estes serão para vós abominação.
11 They shall remain an abomination to you; of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall have in abomination.
11 Ser-vos-ão, pois, por abominação; da sua carne não comereis, e abominareis o seu cadáver.
12 Everything in the waters that has not fins and scales is an abomination to you.
12 Todo o que não tem barbatanas ou escamas, nas águas, será para vós abominação.
13 "And these you shall have in abomination among the birds, they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,
13 Das aves, estas abominareis; não se comerão, serão abominação: a águia, e o quebrantosso, e o xofrango,
14 the kite, the falcon according to its kind,
14 E o milhano, e o abutre segundo a sua espécie.
15 every raven according to its kind,
15 Todo o corvo segundo a sua espécie,
16 the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk according to its kind,
16 E o avestruz, e o mocho, e a gaivota, e o gavião segundo a sua espécie.
17 the owl, the cormorant, the ibis,
17 E o bufo, e o corvo marinho, e a coruja,
18 the water hen, the pelican, the carrion vulture,
18 E a gralha, e o cisne, e o pelicano,
19 the stork, the heron according to its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
19 E a cegonha, a garça segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
20 "All winged insects that go upon all fours are an abomination to you.
20 Todo o inseto que voa, que anda sobre quatro pés, será para vós uma abominação.
21 Yet among the winged insects that go on all fours you may eat those which have legs above their feet, with which to leap on the earth.
21 Mas isto comereis de todo o inseto que voa, que anda sobre quatro pés: o que tiver pernas sobre os seus pés, para saltar com elas sobre a terra.
22 Of them you may eat: the locust according to its kind, the bald locust according to its kind, the cricket according to its kind, and the grasshopper according to its kind.
22 Deles comereis estes: a locusta segundo a sua espécie, o gafanhoto devorador segundo a sua espécie, o grilo segundo a sua espécie, e o gafanhoto segundo a sua espécie.
23 But all other winged insects which have four feet are an abomination to you.
23 E todos os outros insetos que voam, que têm quatro pés, serão para vós uma abominação.
24 "And by these you shall become unclean; whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening,
24 E por estes sereis imundos: qualquer que tocar os seus cadáveres, imundo será até à tarde.
25 and whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
25 Qualquer que levar os seus cadáveres lavará as suas vestes, e será imundo até à tarde.
26 Every animal which parts the hoof but is not cloven-footed or does not chew the cud is unclean to you; every one who touches them shall be unclean.
26 Todo o animal que tem unha fendida, mas a fenda não se divide em duas, e todo o que não rumina, vos será por imundo; qualquer que tocar neles será imundo.
27 And all that go on their paws, among the animals that go on all fours, are unclean to you; whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening,
27 E todo o animal que anda sobre as suas patas, todo o animal que anda a quatro pés, vos será por imundo; qualquer que tocar nos seus cadáveres será imundo até à tarde.
28 and he who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean to you.
28 E o que levar os seus cadáveres lavará as suas vestes, e será imundo até à tarde; eles vos serão por imundos.
29 "And these are unclean to you among the swarming things that swarm upon the earth: the weasel, the mouse, the great lizard according to its kind,
29 Estes também vos serão por imundos entre os répteis que se arrastam sobre a terra; a doninha, e o rato, e a tartaruga segundo a sua espécie,
30 the gecko, the land crocodile, the lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon.
30 E o ouriço cacheiro, e o lagarto, e a lagartixa, e a lesma e a toupeira.
31 These are unclean to you among all that swarm; whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening.
31 Estes vos serão por imundos dentre todos os répteis; qualquer que os tocar, estando eles mortos, será imundo até à tarde.
32 And anything upon which any of them falls when they are dead shall be unclean, whether it is an article of wood or a garment or a skin or a sack, any vessel that is used for any purpose; it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then it shall be clean.
32 E tudo aquilo sobre o que cair alguma coisa deles estando eles mortos será imundo; seja vaso de madeira, ou veste, ou pele, ou saco, qualquer instrumento, com que se faz alguma obra, será posto na água, e será imundo até à tarde; depois será limpo.
33 And if any of them falls into any earthen vessel, all that is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break it.
33 E todo o vaso de barro, em que cair alguma coisa deles, tudo o que houver nele será imundo, e o vaso quebrareis.
34 Any food in it which may be eaten, upon which water may come, shall be unclean; and all drink which may be drunk from every such vessel shall be unclean.
34 Todo o alimento que se come, sobre o qual cair água de tais vasos, será imundo; e toda a bebida que se bebe, depositada nesses vasos, será imunda.
35 And everything upon which any part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven or stove, it shall be broken in pieces; they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
35 E aquilo sobre o que cair alguma parte de seu corpo morto, será imundo; o forno e o vaso de barro serão quebrados; imundos são: portanto vos serão por imundos.
36 Nevertheless a spring or a cistern holding water shall be clean; but whatever touches their carcass shall be unclean.
36 Porém a fonte ou cisterna, em que se recolhem águas, será limpa, mas quem tocar no seu cadáver será imundo.
37 And if any part of their carcass falls upon any seed for sowing that is to be sown, it is clean;
37 E, se dos seus cadáveres cair alguma coisa sobre alguma semente que se vai semear, será limpa;
38 but if water is put on the seed and any part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
38 Mas se for deitada água sobre a semente, e se dos seus cadáveres cair alguma coisa sobre ela, vos será por imunda.
39 "And if any animal of which you may eat dies, he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening,
39 E se morrer algum dos animais, que vos servem de mantimento, quem tocar no seu cadáver será imundo até à tarde;
40 and he who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; he also who carries the carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
40 E quem comer do seu cadáver lavará as suas vestes, e será imundo até à tarde; e quem levar o seu corpo morto lavará as suas vestes, e será imundo até à tarde.
41 "Every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
41 Também todo o réptil, que se arrasta sobre a terra, será abominação; não se comerá.
42 Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, all the swarming things that swarm upon the earth, you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
42 Tudo o que anda sobre o ventre, e tudo o que anda sobre quatro pés, ou que tem muitos pés, entre todo o réptil que se arrasta sobre a terra, não comereis, porquanto são uma abominação.
43 You shall not make yourselves abominable with any swarming thing that swarms; and you shall not defile yourselves with them, lest you become unclean.
43 Não vos façais abomináveis, por nenhum réptil que se arrasta, nem neles vos contamineis, para não serdes imundos por eles;
44 For I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls upon the earth.
44 Porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus; portanto vós vos santificareis, e sereis santos, porque eu sou santo; e não vos contaminareis com nenhum réptil que se arrasta sobre a terra;
45 For I am the LORD who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; you shall therefore be holy, for I am holy."
45 Porque eu sou o Senhor, que vos fiz subir da terra do Egito, para que eu seja vosso Deus, e para que sejais santos; porque eu sou santo.
46 This is the law pertaining to beast and bird and every living creature that moves through the waters and every creature that swarms upon the earth,
46 Esta é a lei dos animais, e das aves, e de toda criatura vivente que se move nas águas, e de toda criatura que se arrasta sobre a terra;
47 to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean and between the living creature that may be eaten and the living creature that may not be eaten.
47 Para fazer diferença entre o imundo e o limpo; e entre animais que se podem comer e os animais que não se podem comer.
