1 O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
1 Ó Deus, não fiques em silêncio! Não feches os ouvidos e não permaneças calado, ó Deus!
2 For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
2 Não ouves o tumulto de teus adversários? Não vês que teus inimigos te desafiam?
3 Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
3 Tramam com astúcia contra o teu povo; conspiram contra os teus protegidos.
4 They have saidCome, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
4 Dizem: “Venham, exterminemos a nação de Israel, para que ninguém se lembre de sua existência”.
5 For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against theea covenant, would they solemnize
5 Sim, em unanimidade decidiram; fizeram um tratado e aliaram-se contra ti
6 The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
6 os edomitas e os ismaelitas, os moabitas e os hagarenos,
7 Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
7 os gebalitas, os amonitas e os amalequitas, os povos da Filístia e de Tiro.
8 Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.

9 Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;

11 Make themtheir nobleslike Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
11 Que seus nobres morram como Orebe e Zeebe, e todos os seus príncipes, como Zeba e Zalmuna,
12 Who saidLet us take a possession foe ourselves, The pastures of God!
12 pois disseram: “Vamos nos apossar das pastagens de Deus!”.
13 O my God, make them, As whirling , As chaff before a wind;
13 Ó meu Deus, espalha-os como folhas num redemoinho, como palha ao vento.
14 As a fire burneth a forest,And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
14 Assim como o fogo consome o bosque, como a chama incendeia os montes,
15 So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest,And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
15 persegue-os com a tua tempestade, enche-os de medo com o teu vendaval.
16 Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
16 Faze-os cair na desgraça mais profunda, até que se sujeitem ao teu nome, S
17 Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
17 Sejam envergonhados e aterrorizados para sempre e morram em desonra.
18 That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
18 Então aprenderão que somente tu és chamado S enhor , somente tu és o Altíssimo, supremo sobre toda a terra.
