1 O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Thou who leddest forth Joseph like a rock, Thou who art throned on the cherubim, appear!
1 Dá ouvidos, ó pastor de Israel, tu que conduzes José como um rebanho; tu que estás entronizado acima dos querubins, mostra o teu esplendor.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, And come! to our salvation.
2 Diante de Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder e vem salvar-nos.
3 O God, bring us back, And light up thy face, That we may be saved.
3 Restaura-nos, ó Deus; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
4 O Yahweh, God of hosts! How long hast thou been wroth with the prayer of thy people?
4 Ó Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos, até quando estarás indignado contra a oração do teu povo?
5 Thou hast fed them with the food of tears, And hast caused them to drink the water of weeping in threefold abundance.
5 Para comer, tu lhe deste pão de lágrimas e, para beber, pranto em abundância.
6 Thou dost make us an object of contention to our neighbours, And, our foes, find mockery for themselves.
6 Fizeste de nós um motivo de conflito entre os nossos vizinhos, e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós a valer.
7 O God of hosts, bring us back, And light up thy face, That we may be saved.
7 Restaura-nos, ó Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
8 A vine out of Egypt, thou didst remove, Thou didst cast out nations, and plant it;
8 Trouxeste uma videira do Egito; expulsaste as nações e a plantaste.
9 Thou didst make a clear space before it, So it rooted well its roots, and filled up the land;
9 Preparaste-lhe o terreno, ela deitou profundas raízes e encheu a terra.
10 Covered were the mountains with its shade, And, with its boughs, the mighty cedars.
10 Com a sombra dela os montes se cobriram, e os seus ramos se estenderam por cima dos cedros de Deus.
11 It thrust forth its branches as far as the sea,And, unto the River, its shoots.
11 Ela estendeu a sua ramagem até o mar e os seus rebentos, até o rio.
12 Wherefore hast thou broken down its fences, So that all who pass along the way, pluck its fruit?
12 Por que derrubaste as cercas que havia em volta dela, deixando que todos os que passam pelo caminho arranquem as suas uvas?
13 The boar out of the forest, browseth upon it, And, the wild beast of the field, pastureth thereon.
13 O javali da selva a devasta, e os animais do campo se alimentam dela.
14 O God of hosts, return, we pray thee,Look down out of the heavens, and see, And inspect this vine:
14 Ó Deus dos Exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos! Olha do céu, vê e visita esta vinha!
15 Yea the stock which thy right hand planted, Even upon the son thou didst secure for thyself.
15 Protege o que a tua mão direita plantou, o ramo que para ti fortaleceste.
16 To be burned with fire, it is cut down,At the rebuke of thy countenance, they will perish.
16 Foi cortada, foi queimada. Pereçam os nossos inimigos pela repreensão do teu rosto.
17 Let thy hand be, Upon the Man of thy right hand, Upon the Son of Man thou didst secure for thyself;
17 Seja a tua mão sobre aquele que escolheste, sobre o filho do homem que fortaleceste para ti.
18 So will we not draw back from thee, Thou wilt bring us to life, And, on thy Name, will we call.
18 E assim não nos afastaremos de ti. Vivifica-nos, e invocaremos o teu nome.
19 O Yahweh, God of hosts! bring us back, Light up thy face, That we may be saved.
19 Restaura-nos, ó Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
