¹ O God, thou hast rejected ushast scattered us, Thou hast been angry, Wilt thou restore us?

¹ Ó Deus, tu nos rejeitaste e nos dispersaste. Tens estado indignado, mas agora restabelece-nos!

² Thou hast shaken the landhast rent it, Heal thou the fractures thereoffor it hath tottered:

² Abalaste a terra e a fendeste; repara-lhe as brechas, pois ela ameaça ruir.

³ Thou hast suffered thy people to see hardship, Thou hast let them drink the wine of confusion.

³ Fizeste o teu povo experimentar reveses e nos deste a beber um vinho que atordoa.

⁴ Thou hadst givento them that revere theea banner, to float aloft, Because of faithfulness. Selah.

⁷ Mine, is Gileadand mine, Manasseh, But, Ephraim, is the defence, of my head, Judah, is my commanders staff;

⁷ Gileade é meu e meu é também Manassés; Efraim é o meu capacete; Judá é o meu cetro.

⁸ Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia! raise shout of triumph.

⁸ Moabe, porém, é a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom atirarei a minha sandália; sobre a Filístia jubilarei.”

⁹ Who will conduct me to fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom!

⁹ Quem me conduzirá à cidade fortificada? Quem me guiará até Edom?

¹⁰ Is it not, thou, O God?thou hast rejected us! And wilt thou not go forth, O God, with our hosts?

¹⁰ Não nos rejeitaste, ó Deus? Tu não sais, ó Deus, com os nossos exércitos!

¹¹ Grant us help out of distress, For, vain, is the deliverance of man:

¹¹ Presta-nos auxílio na angústia, pois vão é o socorro humano.

¹² In God, we shall do valiantly, He himself, therefore, will tread down our adversaries.
