Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs BKJ
1 Contend, O Yahweh, with them who contend with me, Make war upon them who make war upon me.
1 Salmo de Davi. Pleiteia a minha causa, ó SENHOR, com aqueles que lutam comigo; luta contra aqueles que lutam contra mim.
2 Grasp buckler and shield, and arise in my help;
2 Toma o escudo e o broquel, e levanta-te para o meu socorro.
3 Then draw the spear, and close up against my pursuers, Say to my soul, Thy salvation, I am!
3 Saca também a lança, e impede o caminho contra aqueles que me perseguem; diz para a minha alma: Eu sou a tua salvação.
4 Let them be ashamed and confounded, who are seeking my life,Let them turn back and be put to the blush, who are devising my hurt:
4 Que eles sejam confundidos, e leva à vergonha aqueles que buscam a minha alma; que sejam virados para trás e levados à confusão aqueles que contra mim planejam a minha dor.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, with, the messenger of Yahweh, pressing them on:
5 Que eles sejam como palha diante do vento; e que o anjo do SENHOR os afugente.
6 Let their way become dark and slippery, with, the messenger of Yahweh, pursuing them.
6 Deixe seu caminho ser escuro e escorregadio: e deixe que o anjo do SENHOR os persiga.
7 For, without cause, have they hid for me, in a ditch, their net,Without cause, have they digged for my life.
7 Porque sem causa eles esconderam para mim sua rede em uma cova, que sem causa eles cavaram para a minha alma.
8 There shall reach him a ruin he could not know,Yea, his own net which he hath hidden, shall capture him, Into that ruin, shall he fall!
8 Que a destruição venha sobre ele de surpresa; e que a rede que ele escondeu o apanhe; que ele caia naquela mesma destruição.
9 But, my soul, shall exult in Yahweh,shall be glad in his salvation.
9 E minha alma se alegrará no SENHOR; ela se regozijará em sua salvação.
10 All my bones, shall sayO Yahweh, who is like unto thee? Rescuing the oppressed from one stronger than he, Yea the oppressed and the needy, from their spoiler.
10 Todos os meus ossos dirão: SENHOR quem é como tu, que livras o pobre daquele que é forte demais para ele; sim, o pobre e o necessitado daquele que o prejudica?
11 There rise up witnesses helping forward violence and wrong, What I know not, they demand of me:
11 Falsos testemunhos se levantaram; eles puseram na minha conta coisas que eu não conhecia.
12 They repay me evil for good, Bereaving my soul.
12 Eles me recompensaram com o mal no lugar do bem para prejudicar a minha alma.
13 But, as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I humbled, with fasting, my soul, though, my prayer, unto mine own bosom, might return:
13 Mas quanto a mim, quando eles estiveram enfermos, minha roupa foi pano de saco; humilhei minha alma com jejum, e minha oração retornava ao meu próprio peito.
14 Like as for a friend, like as for a brother of mine own, I walked to and fro, As though mourning for a mother, I gloomily bowed myself down.
14 Comportei-me como se ele tivesse sido meu amigo ou irmão; eu me curvei pesadamente, como alguém que pranteia por sua mãe.
15 But, in mine overthrow, have they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together,There gathered themselves together against me foolish men, and I knew it not, They have torn in pieces, and not been silent;
15 Mas na minha adversidade eles se regozijaram, e se reuniram; sim, os miseráveis se reuniram contra mim, e eu não sabia disso; eles me rasgavam e não cessavam.
16 Amidst profane praters of perversion, have they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
16 Com zombadores hipócritas em festas, eles ringiam sobre mim os seus dentes.
17 My Lord! how long wilt thou look on? Bring back my soul out of their raging, from among lions, my solitary self.
17 Senhor, até quando tu assistirás a isso? Resgata a minha alma de suas destruições; e o meu querido dos leões.
18 I will thank thee, in the midst of a great convocation,In the midst of a mighty people, will I praise thee.
18 Eu te darei graças na grande congregação; eu te louvarei entre muitos povos.
19 Let not them who are falsely my foes rejoice over me, As for them who hate me without cause, let them not wink the eye!
19 Não deixes que aqueles que são meus inimigos erradamente se regozijem sobre mim; nem deixes que pisquem o olho os que me odeiam sem causa.
20 For, no salvation, will they utter,But, against the quiet of the land, deceitful things, do they devise;
20 Porque eles não falam de paz; mas maquinam assuntos enganosos contra aqueles que estão quietos na terra.
21 Yea they have opened wide against me their mouth, They have said, Aha! Aha! our own eye, hath seen!
21 Sim, eles abriram sua boca amplamente contra mim, e disseram: Ah!, Ah!, nosso olho viu isso.
22 Thou hast seen, O Yahweh, do not keep silence! O My Lord! be not far from me:
22 Isto tu viste, ó SENHOR; não fiques em silêncio; ó Senhor, não fiques longe de mim.
23 Bestir thyself and wake up, to my vindication, O my God and My Lord!to my plea:
23 Agita-te, e acorda para o meu julgamento, para a minha causa, meu Deus e meu Senhor.
24 Vindicate me according to thy righteousness, O Yahweh, my God! And let them not rejoice over me:
24 Julga-me, ó SENHOR meu Deus, de acordo com a tua justiça; e não deixes que eles se regozijem sobre mim.
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha! to our mind! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up!
25 Não os deixes dizer em seus corações: Ah, se nós o tivéssemos; não os deixes dizer: Nós o engolimos.
26 Let them turn pale, and then at once blush, who are rejoicing at my misfortune,Let them be clothed with shame and confusion, who are magnifying themselves against me.
26 Que eles sejam envergonhados e confundidos juntamente os que se regozijam com a minha mágoa. Que eles se vistam de vergonha e desonra, os que se magnificam contra mim.
27 Let them shout in triumph and rejoice, who are desiring my justification; And let them say continually, Yahweh be magnified, Who hath taken pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
27 Deixe eles gritarem de alegria, e sejam felizes aqueles que favorecem a minha justa causa; sim, que eles digam continuamente: Que o SENHOR seja magnificado, porque tem prazer na prosperidade do seu servo.
28 Mine own tongue also, shall softly utter thy righteousness,All the day long,thy praise!
28 E minha língua falará da tua justiça e do teu louvor todo o dia.
