1 Wherefore have nations assembled in tumult? Or should, peoples, mutter an empty thing?
1 Por que se amotinam as nações, e os povos tramam em vão?
2 The kings of earth take their station, and, grave men, have met by appointment together,against Yahweh, and against his Anointed One :
2 Os reis da terra se levantam, e os príncipes juntos conspiram contra o Senhor e contra o seu ungido, dizendo:
3 Let us break asunder their bonds,and cast from us their cords!
3 Rompamos as suas ataduras, e sacudamos de nós as suas cordas.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens, will laugh,My Lord, will mock at them:
4 Aquele que está sentado nos céus se rirá; o Senhor zombará deles.
5 Then, will he speak unto them in his anger, and, in his wrath, confound them:
5 Então lhes falará na sua ira, e no seu furor os confundirá, dizendo:
6 Yet, I, have installed my king,on Zion my holy mountain.
6 Eu tenho estabelecido o meu Rei sobre Sião, meu santo monte.
7 Let me tell of a decree,Yahweh, hath said unto me, My son, thou art, I, to-day, have begotten thee:
7 Falarei do decreto do Senhor; ele me disse: Tu és meu Filho, hoje te gerei.
8 Ask of me, and let me give nations as thine inheritance, and, as thy possession, the ends of the earth:
8 Pede-me, e eu te darei as nações por herança, e as extremidades da terra por possessão.
9 Thou shalt shepherd them with a sceptre of iron,as a potters vessel, shalt thou dash them in pieces.
9 Tu os quebrarás com uma vara de ferro; tu os despedaçarás como a um vaso de oleiro.
10 Now, therefore, ye kings, show your prudence, Be admonished, ye judges of earth:
10 Agora, pois, ó reis, sede prudentes; deixai-vos instruir, juízes da terra.
11 Serve Yahweh with reverence, and exult with trembling:
11 Servi ao Senhor com temor, e regozijai-vos com tremor.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish by the way, for soon might be kindled his anger,How happy are all who seek refuge in him!
12 Beijai o Filho, para que não se ire, e pereçais no caminho; porque em breve se inflamará a sua ira. Bem-aventurados todos aqueles que nele confiam.
