Provérbios 5

1 My son, to my wisdom, attend, and, to mine understanding, incline thou thine ear:
1 Meu filho, preste atenção à minha sabedoria; ouça bem meu conselho prudente.
2 That thou mayest preserve discretion,and, as for knowledge, that thy lips may guard it.
2 Assim você mostrará discernimento, e seus lábios expressarão o que aprendeu.
3 For, with sweet droppings, drip the lips of her that is a stranger, and, smoother than oil, is her mouth;
3 Pois os lábios da mulher imoral são doces como mel, e sua boca é mais suave que azeite.
4 But, the latter end of her, is bitter as wormwood, sharp, as a two-edged sword!
4 No fim, porém, ela é amarga como veneno e afiada como uma espada de dois gumes.
5 Her feet, are going down to death,on hades, will her steps take firm hold.
5 Seus pés descem para a morte; seus passos conduzem direto à sepultura.
6 Lest, the path of life, she should ponder, her tracks have wandered she knoweth not .
6 Pois ela não se interessa pelo caminho da vida; não se dá conta de que anda sem rumo por uma trilha tortuosa.
7 Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken unto me, and do not turn away from the sayings of my mouth.
7 Portanto, meu filho, preste atenção; nunca se desvie do que irei lhe dizer.
8 Keep far from her thy way, and do not go near the opening of her house:
8 Mantenha distância dessa mulher; não se aproxime da porta de sua casa!
9 Lest thou give, to other men, thy vigour, and thy years, to him that is cruel:
9 Se o fizer, perderá sua honra e entregará a homens impiedosos tudo que conquistou.
10 Lest strange men, be well fed, by thy strength, and, thy toils, be in the house of the alien.
10 Estranhos consumirão sua riqueza, e outros desfrutarão o fruto de seu trabalho.
11 So shalt thou grieve in thy latter end, in the failing of thy flesh and of thy healthy condition;
11 No final, você gemerá de angústia, quando a doença lhe consumir o corpo.
12 And thou shalt sayHow I hated correction! and, reproof, my heart disdained;
12 Dirá: “Como odiei a disciplina! Se ao menos não tivesse desprezado as advertências!
13 Neither hearkened I to the voice of my teachers, nor, to my instructors, inclined I mine ear:
13 Por que não ouvi meus mestres? Por que não dei atenção aos que me instruíam?
14 Soon was I in all evil, in the midst of convocation and assembly.
14 Cheguei à beira da ruína total, e agora todos saberão de minha vergonha!”.
15 Drink thou water out of thine own cistern, and flowing streams out of the midst of thine own well.
15 Beba a água de sua própria cisterna, compartilhe seu amor somente com sua esposa.
16 Let not thy fountains, flow over, abroad, in the streets, dividings of waters:
16 Por que derramar pelas ruas a água de suas fontes, ao ter sexo com qualquer mulher?
17 Let them be for thyself, alone, and not for strangers with thee.
17 Reserve essa água apenas para vocês; não a reparta com estranhos.
18 Let thy well-spring be blessed,and get thy joy from the wife of thy youth:
18 Seja abençoada a sua fonte! Alegre-se com a mulher de sua juventude!
19 A loving hind! a graceful doe! let, her bosom, content thee at all times, and, in her love, mayst thou stray evermore.
19 Ela é gazela amorosa, corça graciosa; que os seios de sua esposa o satisfaçam sempre e você seja cativado por seu amor todo o tempo!
20 Wherefore, then, shouldst thou stray, my son, with a strange woman? or embrace the bosom of a woman unknown?
20 Por que, meu filho, se deixar cativar pela mulher imoral, ou acariciar os seios da promíscua?
21 For, before the eyes of Yahweh, are the ways of a man,and, all his tracks, doth he consider:
21 Pois o S enhor vê com clareza o que o homem faz e examina todos os seus caminhos.
22 His own iniquities, shall entrap him with the lawless, and, by the cords of his own sin, shall he be seized.
22 O perverso é cativo dos próprios pecados; são cordas que o apanham e o prendem.
23 He, shall die, for lack of discipline, and, by the abounding of his perversity, shall he be lost.
23 Ele morrerá por falta de disciplina e se perderá por sua grande insensatez.
