1 And, on the third day, a marriage, took place, in Cana, of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there,
1 No terceiro dia houve um casamento em Caná da Galiléia. A mãe de Jesus estava ali;
2 and Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, unto the marriage.
2 Jesus e seus discípulos também haviam sido convidados para o casamento.
3 And, wine falling short, the mother of Jesus saith unto himWine, have they none!
3 Tendo acabado o vinho, a mãe de Jesus lhe disse: "Eles não têm mais vinho".
4 And Jesus saith unto herWhat part can I take with thee, O woman? Not yet, hath come, mine hour.
4 Respondeu Jesus: "Que temos nós em comum, mulher? A minha hora ainda não chegou".
5 His mother saith unto them who are ministeringWhatsoever he may say to you, do!
5 Sua mãe disse aos serviçais: "Façam tudo o que ele lhes mandar".
6 Now there were there, six stone water-vessels, placed, according to the purification of the Jews; holding each, two or three measures.
6 Ali perto havia seis potes de pedra, do tipo usado pelos judeus para as purificações cerimoniais; em cada pote cabia entre oitenta a cento e vinte litros.
7 Jesus saith unto themFill the vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
7 Disse Jesus aos serviçais: "Encham os potes com água". E os encheram até à borda.
8 And he saith unto themDraw out now, and be bearing unto the master of the feast. And they bare.
8 Então lhes disse: "Agora, levem um pouco do vinho ao encarregado da festa". Eles assim o fizeram,
9 And, when the master of the feast had tasted the water, now made, wine, and knew not whence it was,though, they who were ministering, knew, even they who had drawn out the water, the master accosteth the bridegroom,
9 e o encarregado da festa provou a água que fora transformada em vinho, sem saber de onde este viera, embora o soubessem os serviçais que haviam tirado a água. Então chamou o noivo
10 and saith unto himEvery man, first the good wine, setteth out; and, when they had been well-supplied, the inferior:Thou, hast kept the good wine until, even now.
10 e disse: "Todos servem primeiro o melhor vinho e, depois que os convidados já beberam bastante, o vinho inferior é servido; mas você guardou o melhor até agora".
11 This, beginning of his signs, did Jesus, in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
11 Este sinal miraculoso, em Caná da Galiléia, foi o primeiro que Jesus realizou. Revelou assim a sua glória, e os seus discípulos creram nele.
12 After this, he came down into Capernaum,he, and his mother and brethren, and his disciples; and, there, they abode, not many days.
12 Depois disso ele desceu a Cafarnaum com sua mãe, seus irmãos e seus discípulos. Ali ficaram durante alguns dias.
13 And, near, was the passover of the Jews; and, Jesus, went up unto Jerusalem.
13 Quando já estava chegando a Páscoa judaica, Jesus subiu a Jerusalém.
14 And he found, in the temple, them that were selling oxen and sheep and doves, also the money-changers sitting.
14 No pátio do templo viu alguns vendendo bois, ovelhas e pombas, e outros assentados diante de mesas, trocando dinheiro.
15 And, making a scourge out of rushes, all of them, thrust he forth out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and, the money-changers small coins, poured he forth, and, the tables, he overturned;
15 Então ele fez um chicote de cordas e expulsou todos do templo, bem como as ovelhas e os bois; espalhou as moedas dos cambistas e virou as suas mesas.
16 and unto them who were selling, the doves, he saidTake these things hence! Be not making, the house of my Father, a house of merchandise.
16 Aos que vendiam pombas disse: "Tirem estas coisas daqui! Parem de fazer da casa de meu Pai um mercado! "
17 His disciples remembered that it was writtenThe zeal of thy house, eateth me up.
17 Seus discípulos lembraram-se que está escrito: "O zelo pela tua casa me consumirá".
18 The Jews therefore answered, and said unto him, What sign, dost thou point out to us, in that, these things, thou doest?
18 Então os judeus lhe perguntaram: "Que sinal miraculoso o senhor pode mostrar-nos como prova da sua autoridade para fazer tudo isso? "
19 Jesus answered, and said unto themTake down this shrine, and, in three days, will I raise it.
19 Jesus lhes respondeu: "Destruam este templo, e eu o levantarei em três dias".
20 The Jews, therefore, saidIn forty and six years, was this shrine built. And, thou, in three days, wilt raise it!
20 Os judeus responderam: "Este templo levou quarenta e seis anos para ser edificado, e o senhor vai levantá-lo em três dias? "
21 But, he, was speaking concerning the shrine of his body.
21 Mas o templo do qual ele falava era o seu corpo.
22 When, therefore, he had been raised from among the dead, his disciples remembered, that, this, he had been saying; and they believed in the Scripture, and in the word which Jesus had spoken.
22 Depois que ressuscitou dos mortos, os seus discípulos lembraram-se do que ele tinha dito. Então creram na Escritura e na palavra que Jesus dissera.
23 Now, when he was in Jerusalem, during the passover, during the feast, many, believed on his name, viewing his signs which he was doing.
23 Enquanto estava em Jerusalém, na festa da Páscoa, muitos viram os sinais miraculosos que ele estava realizando e creram em seu nome.
24 Jesus himself, however, was not trusting himself unto them, by reason of his understanding them all,
24 Mas Jesus não se confiava a eles, pois conhecia a todos.
25 and because he had, no need, that anyone should bear witness concerning man; for, he, understood what was in man.
25 Não precisava que ninguém lhe desse testemunho a respeito do homem, pois ele bem sabia o que havia no homem.
