1 Then began Solomon, to build the house of Yahweh, in Jerusalem, in Mount Moriah, where he had appeared unto David his father,-in the place which David had prepared, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
1 E começou Salomão a edificar a casa do SENHOR em Jerusalém, no monte Moriá, onde o SENHOR aparecera a Davi seu pai, no lugar que Davi tinha preparado na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu.
2 And he began to build, in the second month, on the second, in the fourth year of his reign.
2 E começou a edificar no segundo mês, no segundo dia, no ano quarto do seu reinado.
3 And, these, are the things wherein Solomon was grounded for the building of the house of God,The length, by cubits, in the first measure, was sixty cubits, and, the breadth, twenty cubits.
3 E estes foram os fundamentos que Salomão pôs para edificar a casa de Deus: o comprimento em côvados, segundo a primeira medida, era de sessenta côvados, e a largura de vinte côvados.
4 And, the porch which was in front of the length, in front of the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and, the height thereof, was a hundred and twenty,and he overlaid it, within, with pure gold.
4 E o pátio, que estava na frente, tinha vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e a altura era de cento e vinte; e por dentro o revestiu com ouro puro.
5 And, the greater house, covered he with cypress wood, and overlaid it with fine gold,and raised thereon palms, and wreathed garlands.
5 E a casa grande forrou com madeira de faia; e então a revestiu com ouro fino; e fez sobre ela palmas e cadeias.
6 And he covered the house with precious stones, for beauty,and, the gold, was gold of Parvaim.
6 Também a casa adornou de pedras preciosas, para ornamento; e o ouro era ouro de Parvaim.
7 And he covered the house, the beams, the entrance-hall, and the walls thereof and the doors thereof, with gold,and he carved cherubim upon the walls.
7 Também na casa revestiu, com ouro, as traves, os umbrais, as suas paredes e as suas portas; e lavrou querubins nas paredes.
8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof, was, according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and, the breadth thereof, twenty cubits,and he covered it with fine gold, to six hundred talents;
8 Fez mais a casa do lugar santíssimo, cujo comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, era de vinte côvados, e também a largura de vinte côvados; e revestiu-a de ouro fino, do peso de seiscentos talentos.
9 and, the weight of the nails, amounted to fifty shekels of gold,and, the upper chambers, covered he with gold.
9 O peso dos pregos era de cinqüenta siclos de ouro; e as câmaras cobriu de ouro.
10 And he made, in the most holy house, two cherubim, of carved work,and covered them with gold.
10 Também fez na casa do lugar santíssimo dois querubins de obra móvel, e cobriu-os de ouro.
11 And, as for the wings of the cherubim, the length of them, was twenty cubits,the one wing, by the cubit was five, reaching to the wall of the house, and, the other wing, five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub;
11 E, quanto às asas dos querubins, o seu comprimento era de vinte côvados; a asa de um deles, de cinco côvados, e tocava na parede da casa; e a outra asa de cinco côvados, e tocava na asa do outro querubim.
12 and, the wing of the other cherub, was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house,and, the other wing, was five cubits, cleaving to the wing of the other cherub:
12 Também a asa do outro querubim era de cinco côvados, e tocava na parede da casa; era também a outra asa de cinco côvados, que tocava na asa do outro querubim.
13 the wings of these cherubim, outspread, were twenty cubits,and, they themselves, were standing upon their feet, and, their faces, were inward.
13 E as asas destes querubins se estendiam vinte côvados; e estavam postos em pé, e os seus rostos virados para a casa.
14 And he made a vail, of blue and purple, and crimson and byssus cloth,and raised thereon cherubim.
14 Também fez o véu de azul, púrpura, carmesim e linho fino; e pôs sobre ele querubins;
15 And he made, for the front of the house, two pillars, thirty five cubits in length,and, the capital which was upon the top of each, was five cubits.
15 Fez também, diante da casa, duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura; e o capitel, que estava sobre cada uma, era de cinco côvados.
16 And he made wreathen chains in the shrine, and put them upon the top of the pillars,and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them in the chains,
16 Também fez cadeias no oráculo, e as pôs sobre as cabeças das colunas; fez também cem romãs, as quais pôs entre as cadeias.
17 And he reared up the pillars in front of the temple, one, on the right, and, one, on the left,and called the name of that on the right hand, Jachin, and the name of that on the left, Boaz.
17 E levantou as colunas diante do templo, uma à direita, e outra à esquerda; e chamou o nome da que estava à direita Jaquim, e o nome da que estava à esquerda Boaz.
