1 "DO not judge, so that you may not be judged.
1 “Não julguem para não serem julgados,
2 For with whatever judgment you judge you will be judged, and with whatever measure you measure you will be measured.
2 pois vocês serão julgados pelo modo como julgam os outros. O padrão de medida que adotarem será usado para medi-los.
3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, while you do not perceive the beam in your own eye?
3 “Por que você se preocupa com o cisco no olho de seu amigo enquanto há um tronco em seu próprio olho?
4 Or how will you say to your brother, 'Let me get out the speck from your eye,' when there is a beam in your own eye?
4 Como pode dizer a seu amigo: ‘Deixe-me ajudá-lo a tirar o cisco de seu olho’, se não consegue ver o tronco em seu próprio olho?
5 You hypocrite, first get the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to get the speck out of your brother's eye.
5 Hipócrita! Primeiro, livre-se do tronco em seu olho; então você verá o suficiente para tirar o cisco do olho de seu amigo.
6 "Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor east your pearls before swine, for they may trample them under their feet and turn and tear you.
6 “Não deem o que é santo aos cães, nem joguem pérolas aos porcos; pois os porcos pisotearão as pérolas, e os cães se voltarão contra vocês e os atacarão.”
7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened.
7 “Peçam, e receberão. Procurem, e encontrarão. Batam, e a porta lhes será aberta.
8 For every one who asks obtains, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks the door is opened.
8 Pois todos que pedem, recebem. Todos que procuram, encontram. E, para todos que batem, a porta é aberta.
9 Is there any man of you who if his son asks him for bread will give him a stone?
9 “Respondam: Se seu filho lhe pedir pão, você lhe dará uma pedra?
10 Or if he asks for a fish will give him a serpent?
10 Ou, se pedir um peixe, você lhe dará uma cobra?
11 If you, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.
11 Portanto, se vocês, que são maus, sabem dar bons presentes a seus filhos, quanto mais seu Pai, que está no céu, dará bons presentes aos que lhe pedirem!”
12 "All things that you wish men to do for you, do yourselves for them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.
12 “Em todas as coisas façam aos outros o que vocês desejam que eles lhes façam. Essa é a essência de tudo que ensinam a lei e os profetas.”
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide and spacious is the road that leads away to ruin, and many there are who go through it;
13 “Entrem pela porta estreita. A estrada que conduz à destruição é ampla, e larga é sua porta, e muitos escolhem esse caminho.
14 but narrow is the gate and contracted is the road that leads into life, and few there are who find it.
14 Mas a porta para a vida é estreita, e o caminho é difícil, e são poucos os que o encontram.”
15 "Beware of false prophets, such as come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
15 “Tomem cuidado com falsos profetas que vêm disfarçados de ovelhas, mas que, na verdade, são lobos esfomeados.
16 From their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thorns or figs from thistles?
16 Vocês os identificarão por seus frutos. É possível colher uvas de espinheiros ou figos de ervas daninhas?
17 Just so every good tree yields fine fruit, but a worthless tree yields bad fruit.
17 Da mesma forma, a árvore boa produz frutos bons, e a árvore ruim produz frutos ruins.
18 It is not possible for a good tree to yield had fruit nor for a worthless tree to yield fine fruit.
18 A árvore boa não pode produzir frutos ruins, e a árvore ruim não pode produzir frutos bons.
19 Every tree that does not yield fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
19 Toda árvore que não produz bons frutos é cortada e lançada ao fogo.
20 So then, from their fruits you will know them.
20 Portanto, é possível identificar a pessoa por seus frutos.”
21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Master, Master,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
21 “Nem todos que me chamam: ‘Senhor! Senhor!’ entrarão no reino dos céus, mas apenas aqueles que, de fato, fazem a vontade de meu Pai, que está no céu.
22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Master, Master, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name east out demons, and in your name do many miracles?'
22 No dia do juízo, muitos me dirão: ‘Senhor! Senhor! Não profetizamos em teu nome, não expulsamos demônios em teu nome e não realizamos muitos milagres em teu nome?’.
23 And then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work lawlessness.'
23 Eu, porém, responderei: ‘Nunca os conheci. Afastem-se de mim, vocês que desobedecem à lei!’.”
24 "Every one, therefore, who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock;
24 “Quem ouve minhas palavras e as pratica é tão sábio como a pessoa que constrói sua casa sobre uma rocha firme.
25 and the rain descended and the rivers rose and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house; but it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock.
25 Quando vierem as chuvas e as inundações, e os ventos castigarem a casa, ela não cairá, pois foi construída sobre rocha firme.
26 And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand.
26 Mas quem ouve meu ensino e não o pratica é tão tolo como a pessoa que constrói sua casa sobre a areia.
27 And the rain descended and the rivers rose and the winds blew, and they struck upon that house and it fell, and great was the ruin of it."
27 Quando vierem as chuvas e as inundações e os ventos castigarem a casa, ela cairá com grande estrondo.”
28 When Jesus ended these words, the crowds were astonished at his teaching.
28 Quando Jesus acabou de dizer essas coisas, a multidão ficou maravilhada com seu ensino,
29 For he taught them like one who had authority, and not as their scribes taught.
29 pois ele ensinava com verdadeira autoridade, diferentemente dos mestres da lei.
