1 Looking up, he saw those who were dropping their gifts into the contribution box, the rich people.
1 E ele olhando para cima, viu os ricos lançarem as suas ofertas na arca do tesouro.
2 But he saw a poor widow dropping in two mites,
2 E ele viu também uma certa viúva pobre lançar ali dois leptos.
3 and he said, "Truly I tell you this widow, poor as she is, has dropped in more than all.
3 E ele disse: Verdadeiramente eu vos digo que esta pobre viúva lançou mais do que todos;
4 For they all out of their abundance contributed to the gifts, but she out of her lack put in all that she had to live on."
4 porque todos estes lançaram como ofertas a Deus do que tinham em abundância; mas ela, da sua pobreza, lançou todo o sustento que tinha.
5 As some were speaking about the Temple buildings, how they were decorated with beautiful stones and votive gifts,
5 E, quando alguns falaram sobre o templo, que estava adornado de formosas pedras e dádivas, ele disse:
6 he said, "As to these things that you are looking at, there will come days in which there will not be left one stone upon another which will not be thrown down."
6 Quanto a estas coisas que vedes, dias virão em que não se deixará uma pedra sobre outra que não seja derrubada.
7 They asked him, "Teacher, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when they are about to happen?"
7 E eles perguntaram-lhe, dizendo: Mestre, mas quando serão essas coisas? E que sinal haverá quando estas coisas estiverem para acontecer?
8 He said, "Be on your guard against being misled. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is at hand.' Do not follow them.
8 E ele disse: Acautelai-vos para que não vos enganem; porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo, e o tempo está próximo; não vades, portanto, após eles.
9 And when you hear of wars and disorders, do not be terrified. For these things must take place first, but the end will not come immediately."
9 Mas, quando ouvirdes de guerras e tumultos, não vos apavoreis; porque é necessário que primeiro aconteçam essas coisas, mas o fim não será logo.
10 Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,
10 Então, lhes disse: Nação se levantará contra nação, e reino contra reino;
11 and there will be great earthquakes in various places, and pestilences and famines and terrors and great portents from heaven.
11 e haverá em vários lugares, grandes terremotos, e fomes, e pestilências; haverá fenômenos atemorizantes e grandes sinais haverá do céu.
12 Before all these things they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before kings and governors because of my name.
12 Mas, antes de todas essas coisas, eles lançarão mão de vós, e vos perseguirão, entregando-vos às sinagogas e às prisões, e conduzindo-vos diante de reis e governadores, por causa do meu nome.
13 It will turn out your opportunity for testimony.
13 E isso vos acontecerá por testemunho.
14 Settle it, then, in your hearts not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves.
14 Decidi, pois, em vosso coração a não premeditar como haveis de responder;
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opponents will be unable to resist or reply to.
15 porque eu vos darei boca e sabedoria, que todos os seus adversários não poderão resistir nem contradizer.
16 You will be betrayed by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death
16 E vós sereis traídos pelos pais, e irmãos, e parentes, e amigos; e eles matarão alguns de vós.
17 and you will be hated by all on account of my name.
17 E sereis odiados por todos os homens por causa do meu nome.
18 Yet not a hair of your head will perish.
18 Mas não perecerá um único cabelo da vossa cabeça.
19 By your endurance you will win your lives.
19 Na vossa paciência, possuí a vossa alma.
20 "But when you see Jerusalem encircled by camps, then know that her desolation is near.
20 E, quando virdes Jerusalém cercada de exércitos, então sabei que é chegada a sua desolação.
21 Then those who are in Judaea are to flee to the mountains, and those in the midst of it are to depart, and those in the country places must not come into the city;
21 Então, deixai os que estiverem na Judeia fugirem para os montes; e deixai os que estiverem no meio dela, saírem; e não deixai os que estiverem nos campos entrar nela.
22 for these are days of vengeance, that all the prophecies may be fulfilled.
22 Porque estes são dias de vingança, para que tudo o que está escrito seja cumprido.
23 Alas for the women with child and the nursing mothers in those days! For there will be great distress on earth and wrath upon this people,
23 Mas ai das grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias! Porque haverá grande aflição na terra, e ira sobre este povo.
24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword and will be taken as captives into all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles have gone by.
24 E eles cairão ao fio de espada e serão levados cativos para todas as nações, e Jerusalém será pisada pelos gentios, até que os tempos dos gentios se completem.
25 "There will be portents in the sun and in the moon and in the stars, and on earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roar of the sea and its surges,
25 E haverá sinais no sol, e na lua, e nas estrelas, e sobre a terra, aflição das nações, com perplexidade; o mar e as ondas bramindo;
26 men fainting from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon mankind. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
26 o coração dos homens desfalecerá por medo da expectativa daquilo que sobrevirá à terra; porque os poderes do céu serão abalados.
27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory.
27 E eles então verão o Filho do Homem vindo em uma nuvem, com poder e grande glória.
28 When these things are beginning to happen, look up and lift up your heads, for your liberation is drawing near."
28 E quando essas coisas começarem a acontecer, olhai para cima e levantai a vossa cabeça, porque a vossa redenção está próxima.
29 He gave them an illustration: "See the fig tree, and all the trees.
29 E ele falou-lhes uma parábola: Olhai para a figueira e para todas as árvores;
30 When they put out leaves, you see for yourselves that summer is near.
30 quando elas já começam a brotar, as vedes e, por vós mesmos, sabeis que o verão está próximo.
31 So, too, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
31 Assim também vós, quando virdes acontecer essas coisas, sabei que o reino de Deus está próximo.
32 Truly, I tell you, this generation will not pass away before all takes place.
32 Verdadeiramente eu vos digo: Que não passará esta geração até que tudo se cumpra.
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
33 O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
34 Take care that your hearts are not dull through overeating and drinking and the cares of life, so that that day may come on you unexpectedly like a trap.
34 E tomai cuidado por vós mesmos, para que em nenhum momento os vossos corações sejam sobrecarregados com excessos, e embriaguez, e cuidados da vida, e aquele dia vos sobrevenha desprevenidamente.
35 For it will come on all who dwell on the face of all the earth.
35 Porque virá como um laço sobre todos os que habitam na face de toda a terra.
36 Be watchful at every season in prayer that you may be able to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."
36 Vigiai, pois, orando sempre, para serdes considerados dignos de escapar de todas essas coisas que hão de acontecer, e de estar em pé diante do Filho do homem.
37 During the days he continued to teach in the Temple courts, but every night he went out and stayed on the mount called Olive Orchard.
37 E, de dia ele ensinava no templo, e à noite, saindo, ficava no monte chamado monte das Oliveiras.
38 All the people came early every morning to him in the Temple courts to listen to him.
38 E todo o povo chegava cedo de manhã a ele no templo, para ouvi-lo.
