¹ Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, his sacred mountain.

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, na cidade do nosso Deus.

² His situation if beautiful. Mount Zion is the joy of the whole earth. The city of the great King is in the far reaches of the north.

² Seu santo monte, belo e sobranceiro, é a alegria de toda a terra; o monte Sião, para os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God is in his citadel. He has made himself known.

³ Nos palácios dela, Deus se faz conhecer como alto refúgio.

⁴ Behold, the kings have assembled. And they passed by together.

⁴ Por isso, eis que os reis se coligaram e juntos sumiram-se;

⁵ They saw and then they were amazed. They were terrified and they fled in fear.

¹¹ May Mount Zion be glad and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.

¹² Walk around Zion. Go around it. Count its towers.

¹² Percorrei a Sião, rodeai-a toda, contai-lhe as torres;

¹³ Examine its embankments. Inspect its watchtowers. Then you can tell the next generation,

¹³ notai bem os seus baluartes, observai os seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações vindouras

¹⁴ This God is our God forever and ever. He will lead us until death.

¹⁴ que este é Deus, o nosso Deus para todo o sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
