1 Daughters of Jerusalem »Where has your beloved one gone, O you fairest among women? Where has your beloved turned aside that we may seek him with you?«
1 Para onde foi o teu amado, ó mais formosa entre as mulheres? Para onde se retirou o teu amado, para que o busquemos contigo?
2 The Shulamite »My beloved went to his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
2 O meu amado desceu ao seu jardim, aos canteiros de bálsamo, para apascentar nos jardins e para colher os lírios.
3 »I am my beloveds, and my beloved is mine. He feeds among the lilies.«
3 Eu sou do meu amado, e o meu amado é meu;ele apascenta entre os lírios.
4 The Beloved »You are beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.
4 Formosa és, meu amor, como Tirza, aprazível como Jerusalém, terrível como um exército com bandeiras.
5 »Turn away your eyes from me, for they have overcome me. Your hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.
5 Desvia de mim os teus olhos, porque eles me dominam. O teu cabelo é como o rebanho das cabras que aparecem em Gileade.
6 »Your teeth are like a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one looks like twins, and there is not one barren among them.
6 Os teus dentes são como o rebanho de ovelhas que sobem do lavadouro, e das quais todas produzem gêmeos, e não há estéril entre elas.
7 »Your temples within your locks are like a piece of a pomegranate.
7 Como um pedaço de romã, assim são as tuas faces entre os teus cabelos.
8 »There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, and virgins without number.
8 Sessenta são as rainhas, e oitenta as concubinas, e as virgens sem número.
9 »My dove, my undefiled is the one. She is the only one of her mother; she is the choice one of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her. The queens and the concubines praised her.
9 Porém uma é a minha pomba, a minha imaculada, a única de sua mãe, e a mais querida daquela que a deu à luz; viram-na as filhas e chamaram-na bem-aventurada, as rainhas e as concubinas louvaram-na.
10 »Who is she who looks as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
10 Quem é esta que aparece como a alva do dia, formosa como a lua, brilhante como o sol, terrível como um exército com bandeiras?
11 The Shulamite »I went down into the garden of nut trees to see the fruits of the valley, to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded.
11 Desci ao jardim das nogueiras, para ver os frutos do vale, a ver se floresciam as vides e brotavam as romãzeiras.
12 »Before I was aware of it my desire set me among the royal chariots of my people.
12 Antes de eu o sentir, me pôs a minha alma nos carros do meu nobre povo.
13 Beloved and his Friends »Return, return, O Shulamite return, return, that we may look at you.« The Shulamite »What will you see in the Shulamite? It was the company of two camps.«
13 Volta, volta, ó Sulamita, volta, volta, para que nós te vejamos. Por que olhais para a Sulamita como para as fileiras de dois exércitos?
