5 This is because it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

6 If you tell the brothers about these things, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed until now.

14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift in you. It was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders.

15 Be diligent and think about these things. Give yourself wholly to them. That way your progress may be apparent to all.

16 Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things. When you do this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
