1 Now just before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour was come when he should leave this world to go to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, showed forth his love to the end. ;38 "Your life you will lay down for me? 17 If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

21 When he had spoken thus, Jesus was deeply moved. He testified and said, "In solemn truth I tell you that one of you will betray me."

35 By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another."

36 Simon Peter asked him, "Lord, where are you going?" "Where I am going," answered Jesus, "you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow me later."
