Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs ARA
1 A Maskil of Assaph. Why, O God, hast thou cast us off for ever? why will thy anger smoke against the flock of thy pasture?
1 Por que nos rejeitas, ó Deus, para sempre? Por que se acende a tua ira contra as ovelhas do teu pasto?
2 Remember thy congregation, which thou didst acquire of old; which thou didst redeem as the tribe of thy inheritance: this mount Zion, whereon thou hast dwelt.
2 Lembra-te da tua congregação, que adquiriste desde a antiguidade, que remiste para ser a tribo da tua herança; lembra-te do monte Sião, no qual tens habitado.
3 Lift up thy steps unto the perpetual heaps of ruins: the enemy hath illused every thing in the sanctuary.
3 Dirige os teus passos para as perpétuas ruínas, tudo quanto de mau tem feito o inimigo no santuário.
4 Thy adversaries have roared in the midst of thy places of assembly: they have set up their signs for signs.
4 Os teus adversários bramam no lugar das assembleias e alteiam os seus próprios símbolos.
5 The enemy is known as one that lifteth up high axes against the thickets of a forest.
5 Parecem-se com os que brandem machado no espesso da floresta,
6 And now they hew in pieces the carved work thereof altogether with hatchets and hammers.
6 e agora a todos esses lavores de entalhe quebram também, com machados e martelos.
7 They have set on fire thy sanctuary; to the ground have they profaned the dwellingplace of thy name.
7 Deitam fogo ao teu santuário; profanam, arrasando-a até ao chão, a morada do teu nome.
8 They have said in their heart, We will oppress them altogether: they have burnt up all the places of assembly of God in the land.
8 Disseram no seu coração: Acabemos com eles de uma vez. Queimaram todos os lugares santos de Deus na terra.
9 Our signs do we not see: there is no more any prophet: and there is no one among us that knoweth how long.
9 Já não vemos os nossos símbolos; já não há profeta; nem, entre nós, quem saiba até quando.
10 How long, O God, shall the adversary utter defiance? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
10 Até quando, ó Deus, o adversário nos afrontará? Acaso, blasfemará o inimigo incessantemente o teu nome?
11 Why withdrawest thou thy hand, and thy right hand? draw it out of thy bosomexterminate them;
11 Por que retrais a mão, sim, a tua destra, e a conservas no teu seio?
12 Since thou God art my King from olden days, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
12 Ora, Deus, meu Rei, é desde a antiguidade; ele é quem opera feitos salvadores no meio da terra.
13 It was thou that didst divide by thy strength the sea: thou brokest in pieces the heads of the crocodiles on the waters.
13 Tu, com o teu poder, dividiste o mar; esmagaste sobre as águas a cabeça dos monstros marinhos.
14 Thou didst crush the heads of leviathan, and gavest them as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
14 Tu espedaçaste as cabeças do crocodilo e o deste por alimento às alimárias do deserto.
15 Thou didst cleave fountain and stream: thou didst dry up everflowing rivers.
15 Tu abriste fontes e ribeiros; secaste rios caudalosos.
16 Thine is the day and thine is the night: it is thou who hast prepared the luminary and the sun.
16 Teu é o dia; tua, também, a noite; a luz e o sol, tu os formaste.
17 It is thou who hast set up all the boundaries of the earth: summer and winterthou thyself hast formed them.
17 Fixaste os confins da terra; verão e inverno, tu os fizeste.
18 Remember this, that the enemy hath defied the Lord, and that a worthless foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
18 Lembra-te disto: o inimigo tem ultrajado ao Senhor , e um povo insensato tem blasfemado o teu nome.
19 Oh give not up unto the multitude of enemies the soul of thy turtledove: the congregation of thy afflicted do not thou forget for ever.
19 Não entregues à rapina a vida de tua rola, nem te esqueças perpetuamente da vida dos teus aflitos.
20 Look unto the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of habitations of violence.
20 Considera a tua aliança, pois os lugares tenebrosos da terra estão cheios de moradas de violência.
21 Oh let not the oppressed return confounded: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
21 Não fique envergonhado o oprimido; louvem o teu nome o aflito e o necessitado.
22 Arise, O God, plead thy own cause: remember thy defiance from the worthless fool all the day.
22 Levanta-te, ó Deus, pleiteia a tua própria causa; lembra-te de como o ímpio te afronta todos os dias.
23 Forget not the voice of thy adversaries: the tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.
23 Não te esqueças da gritaria dos teus inimigos, do sempre crescente tumulto dos teus adversários.
