Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NVI
1 To the chief musician, a song or psalm. Shout joyfully unto God, all ye lands:
1 Aclamem a Deus, povos de toda terra!
2 Sing forth the glory of his name; make glorious his praise.
2 Cantem louvores ao seu glorioso nome; louvem-no gloriosamente!
3 Say unto God, How fearinspiring is every one of thy works! through the greatness of thy strength will thy enemies yield feigned obedience unto thee.
3 Digam a Deus: "Quão temíveis são os teus feitos! Tão grande é o teu poder que os teus inimigos rastejam diante de ti!
4 All the lands shall bow themselves down unto thee, and shall sing praises unto thee; they shall sing praises to thy name. Selah.
4 Toda a terra te adora e canta louvores a ti, canta louvores ao teu nome". Pausa
5 Come and see the deeds of God: fearinspiring is his doing toward the children of men.
5 Venham e vejam o que Deus tem feito; como são impressionantes as suas obras em favor dos homens!
6 He changed the sea into dry land: through the river they went on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
6 Ele transformou o mar em terra seca, e o povo atravessou as águas a pé; e ali nos alegramos nele.
7 He ruleth by his might for ever; his eyes look upon the nations: the rebelliousthese shall not be exalted. Selah.
7 Ele governa para sempre com o seu poder, seus olhos vigiam as nações; que os rebeldes não se levantem contra ele! Pausa
8 Bless, O ye people, our God, and cause the voice of his praise to be heard:
8 Bendigam o nosso Deus, ó povos, façam ressoar o som do seu louvor;
9 Who hath appointed our soul to life, and hath not suffered our foot to slip.
9 foi ele quem preservou as nossas vidas impedindo que os nossos pés escorregassem.
10 For thou hast proved us, O God: thou hast refined us, as silver is refined.
10 Pois tu, ó Deus, nos submeteste à prova e nos refinaste como a prata.
11 Thou hast brought us into the net; thou hast placed fetters upon our loins.
11 Fizeste-nos cair numa armadilha e sobre nossas costas puseste fardos.
12 Thou hast caused men to ride on our head: we entered into fire and into water; but thou broughtest us out to the enjoyment of overflowing plenty. a
12 Deixaste que os inimigos cavalgassem sobre a nossa cabeça; passamos pelo fogo e pela água, mas a um lugar de fartura nos trouxeste.
13 I will enter thy house with burntofferings: I will pay unto thee my vows,
13 Para o teu templo virei com holocaustos e cumprirei os meus votos para contigo,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in distress.
14 votos que os meus lábios fizeram e a minha boca falou quando eu estava em dificuldade.
15 Burntofferings of fatlings will I offer up unto thee, with the incense of rams; I will prepare steers with hegoats. Selah.
15 Oferecerei a ti animais gordos em holocausto; sacrificarei carneiros, cuja fumaça subirá a ti, e também novilhos e cabritos. Pausa
16 Come, hear, and I will relate, all ye that fear God, what he hath done for my soul.
16 Venham e ouçam, todos vocês que temem a Deus; vou contar-lhes o que ele fez por mim.
17 Unto him I cried with my mouth, and a song of extolling was on my tongue.
17 A ele clamei com os lábios; com a língua o exaltei.
18 If I had looked on wickedness with my heart, the Lord would not have heard;
18 Se eu acalentasse o pecado no coração, o Senhor não me ouviria;
19 But verily God hath heard; he hath listened to the voice of my prayer.
19 mas Deus me ouviu, deu atenção à oração que lhe dirigi.
20 Blessed be God, who hath not removed my prayer from him, nor his kindness from me.
20 Louvado seja Deus, que não rejeitou a minha oração nem afastou de mim o seu amor!
