1 And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the other Levites to their office.
1 Ora, aconteceu que, quando a muralha estava edificada, e eu tinha posto as portas, e os porteiros e os cantores e os levitas foram nomeados,
2 And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.
2 que eu dei ao meu irmão Hanani, e Hananias, o governante do palácio, incumbência sobre Jerusalém; porque ele era um homem fiel, e temia a Deus mais do que muitos.
3 And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.
3 E eu lhes disse: Não deixeis que os portões de Jerusalém sejam abertos até que o sol esteja quente; e, enquanto eles estiverem ali de pé, que fechem as portas, e travem-nas com barras; e indiquem guardas dos habitantes de Jerusalém, cada um na sua guarda, e cada um para estar na frente da sua casa.
4 But the city was roomy in space and large: while the people therein were few, and the houses were not yet built.
4 Ora, a cidade era extensa e grande; mas o povo nela era pouco, e as casas não estavam edificadas.
5 Then did my God put it into my heart, and I assembled together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might give in their genealogy; and I found a register of the genealogy of those who were come up at the first, and I found written therein:
5 E o meu Deus pôs no meu coração de reunir-me com os nobres, e os governantes, e o povo, para que eles pudessem ser considerados por genealogia. E achei um registro da genealogia dos que subiram primeiro, e nele achei escrito:
6 These arc the children of the province, that came up out of the captivity of the exiles, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his own city;
6 Estes são os filhos da província, que saíram do cativeiro, daqueles que haviam sido levados, os quais Nabucodonosor, o rei de Babilônia, havia levado consigo, e retornaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade;
7 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azaryah, Raamyah, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misspereth, Bigvai, Nechum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was:
7 que vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamani, Mardoqueu, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. O número, refiro-me dos homens do povo de Israel era esse:
8 The children of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy and two.
8 Os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois.
9 The children of Shephatyah, three hundred seventy and two.
9 Os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois.
10 The children of Arach, six hundred fifty and two.
10 Os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinquenta e dois.
11 The children of Pachathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
11 Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito.
12 The children of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
12 Os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
13 The children of Zatthu, eight hundred forty and five.
13 Os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco.
14 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
14 Os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta.
15 The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
15 Os filhos de Binui, seiscentos e quarenta e oito.
16 The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
16 Os filhos de Bebai, seiscentos e vinte e oito.
17 The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
17 Os filhos de Azgade, dois mil trezentos e vinte e dois.
18 The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and seven.
18 Os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e sete.
19 The children of Bigvai, two thousand sixty and seven.
19 Os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e sessenta e sete.
20 The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
20 Os filhos de Adim, seiscentos e cinquenta e cinco.
21 The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
21 Os filhos de Ater, de Ezequias, noventa e oito.
22 The children of Chashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
22 Os filhos de Hasum, trezentos e vinte e oito.
23 The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.
23 Os filhos de Besai, trezentos e vinte e quatro.
24 The children of Chariph, one hundred and twelve.
24 Os filhos de Harife, cento e doze.
25 The children of Gibon, ninety and five.
25 Os filhos de Gibeão, noventa e cinco.
26 The men of Bethlechem and Netophah, one hundred eighty and eight.
26 Os homens de Belém e de Netofa, cento e oitenta e oito.
27 The men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty and eight.
27 Os homens de Anatote, cento e vinte e oito.
28 The men of Bethazmaveth, forty and two.
28 Os homens de Bete-Azmavete, quarenta e dois.
29 The men of Kiryathyearim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
29 Os homens de Quiriate-Jearim, Cefira e Beerote, setecentos e quarenta e três.
30 The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one,
30 Os homens de Ramá e Geba, seiscentos e vinte e um.
31 The men of Michmass, one hundred twenty and two.
31 Os homens de Micmás, cento e vinte e dois.
32 The men of Bethel and Ai, one hundred twenty and three.
32 Os homens de Betel e Ai, cento e vinte e três.
33 The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.
33 Os homens doutra Nebo, cinquenta e dois.
34 The children of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
34 Os filhos do outro Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
35 The children of Charim, three hundred and twenty.
35 Os filhos de Harim, trezentos e vinte.
36 The people of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
36 Os filhos de Jericó, trezentos e quarenta e cinco.
37 The people of Lod, Chadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty and one.
37 Os filhos de Lode, Hadide e Ono, setecentos e vinte e um.
38 The people of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
38 Os filhos de Senaá, três mil novecentos e trinta.
39 The priests: the children of Jedayah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.
39 Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jesuá, novecentos e setenta e três.
40 The children of Immer, one thousand fifty and two.
40 Os filhos de Imer, mil e cinquenta e dois.
41 The children of Pashchur, one thousand two hundred forty and seven.
41 Os filhos de Pasur, mil duzentos e quarenta e sete.
42 The children of Charim, one thousand and seventeen.
42 Os filhos de Harim, mil e dezessete.
43 The Levites: The children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.

44 The singers: The children of Assaph, one hundred forty and eight.
44 Os cantores: os filhos de Asafe, cento e quarenta e oito.
45 The gatekeepers: The children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Chatita, the children of Shobai, one hundred thirty and eight.
45 Os porteiros: os filhos de Salum, os filhos de Ater, os filhos de Talmom, os filhos de Acube, os filhos de Hatita, os filhos de Sobai, cento e trinta e oito.
46 The templeservants: The children of Zicha, the children of Chassupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
46 Os netineus: os filhos de Zia, os filhos de Hasufa, os filhos de Tabaote,
47 The children of Keross, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
47 os filhos de Queros, os filhos de Sia, os filhos de Padom,
48 The children of Lebana, the children of Chagaba, the children of Salmai,

49 The children of Chanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gachar,
49 os filhos de Hanã, os filhos de Gidel, os filhos de Gaar,
50 The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.

55 The children of Barkoss, the children of Sissera, the children of Thamach,
55 os filhos de Barcos, os filhos de Sísera, os filhos de Tama,
56 The children of Neziach, the children of Chatipha.

57 The children of Solomons servants: The children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
57 Os filhos dos servos de Salomão: os filhos de Sotai, os filhos de Soferete, os filhos de Perida,
58 The children of Yaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
58 os filhos de Jaala, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,
59 The children of Shephatyah, the children of Chattil, the children of Pocherethhazzebayim, the children of Amon.
59 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim, os filhos de Amom.
60 All the templeservants, and the children of Solomon servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
60 Todos os netineus e os filhos dos servos de Salomão: eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
61 And these were they who came up from Thelmelach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.
61 E estes foram os que subiram de Tel-Melá, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom e Imer; mas eles não conseguiram apresentar a casa do seu pai, nem a sua semente, se eram de Israel.
62 The children of Delayah, the children of Tobiyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
62 Os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
63 And of the priests: The children of Chobayah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Giladite, and was called after their name.
63 E dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai, o qual tomou uma das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, como esposa, e foi chamado segundo o seu nome.
64 These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
64 Estes buscaram o seu registro entre aqueles que foram considerados pela genealogia, mas não foram achados; por isso foram eles, como imundos, e excluídos do sacerdócio.
65 And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
65 E o tirsata disse-lhes para que eles não comessem das coisas santíssimas, até que ali se pusesse de pé um sacerdote com Urim e com Tumim.
66 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
66 E toda congregação junta eram de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
67 Besides these were their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
67 fora os seus servos e as suas servas, dos quais havia sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e eles tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.
68 Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
68 Os seus cavalos, setecentos e trinta e seis; as suas mulas, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;
69 Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
69 os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; e seis mil setecentos e vinte jumentos.
70 And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
70 E alguns dos chefes dos pais doaram para a obra. O tirsata deu ao tesouro mil dáricos de ouro, cinquenta bacias, quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.
71 And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
71 E alguns dos chefes dos pais doaram ao tesouro da obra vinte mil dáricos de ouro, e duas mil e duzentas libras de prata.
72 And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
72 E aquilo que o restante do povo doou foi vinte mil dáricos de ouro, e duas mil libras de prata, e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.
73 So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the templeservants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
73 Assim, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e os porteiros, e os cantores, e alguns do povo, e os netineus, e todo o Israel, habitaram nas suas cidades. E quando o sétimo mês chegou, os filhos de Israel estavam nas suas cidades.
