1 And these are the priests and the Levites that came up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealthiel, and Jeshua’: Serayah, Jeremiah, ‘Ezra,

6 Semaías, Joiaribe, Jedaías,
7 Sallu, ‘Amok, Chilkiyah, Jed’ayah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua’.
7 Salu, Amoque, Hilquias e Jedaías. Esses foram os chefes dos sacerdotes e seus colegas nos dias de Jesua.
8 And the Levites: Jeshua’, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebyah, Judah, and Matthaniah, who was over the songs of thanksgiving, he and his brethren;
8 Os levitas foram Jesua, Binui, Cadmiel, Serebias, Judá, e também Matanias, que, junto com seus colegas, estava encarregado dos cânticos de ações de graças.
9 And Bakbukyah and ‘Unni, their brethren, were opposite to them in the watches.
9 Bacbuquias e Uni, colegas deles, ficavam em frente deles para responder-lhes.
10 And Jeshua’ begat Joyakim, and Joyakim begat Elyashib, and Elyashib begat Joyada’.
10 Jesua foi o pai de Joiaquim, Joiaquim foi o pai de Eliasibe, Eliasibe foi o pai de Joiada,
11 And Joyada’ begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua’.
11 Joiada foi o pai de Jônatas, Jônatas foi o pai de Jadua.
12 And in the days of Joyakim were priests, as chiefs of the divisions: Of Serayah, Merayah; of Jeremiah, Chananyah;
12 Nos dias de Joiaquim estes foram os líderes das famílias dos sacerdotes: da família de Seraías, Meraías; da família de Jeremias, Hananias;
13 Of ‘Ezra, Meshullam; of Amaryah, Jehochanan;
13 da família de Esdras, Mesulão; da família de Amarias, Joanã;
14 Of Mellchu, Jonathan; of Shebanyah, Joseph;
14 da família de Maluqui, Jônatas; da família de Secanias, José;
15 Of Charim, ‘Adna; of Merayoth, Chelkai;

16 Of ‘Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

20 Of Sallai, Kallai; of ‘Amok, ‘Eber;
20 da família de Salai, Calai; da família de Amoque, Héber;
21 Of Chilkiyah, Chashabyah; of Jeda’yah, Nethanel.
21 da família de Hilquias, Hasabias; da família de Jedaías, Natanael.
22 Of the Levites in the days of Elyashib, Yoyada’, and Yochanan, and Jaddua’, are written down the chiefs of the divisions: also those of the priests to the reign of Darius the Persian.
22 Os chefes das famílias dos levitas e dos sacerdotes, nos dias de Eliasibe, Joiada, Joanã e Jadua, foram registrados no reinado de Dario, o persa.
23 The sons of Levi, the chiefs of the divisions were written down in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Jochanan the son of Elyashib.
23 Os chefes das famílias dos descendentes de Levi até à época de Joanã, filho de Eliasibe, foram registrados no livro das crônicas.
24 And the chiefs of the Levites were: Chashabyah, Sherebyah, and Jeshua’ the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren opposite to them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the command of David the man of God, section by section.
24 Os líderes dos levitas foram Hasabias, Serebias, Jesua, filho de Cadmiel, e seus colegas, que ficavam em frente deles quando entoavam louvores e ações de graças; um grupo respondia ao outro, conforme prescrito por Davi, homem de Deus.
25 Matthanyah, and Bakbukyah, ‘Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, ‘Akkub, were watching gatekeepers on the watch at the thresholds of the gates.
25 Matanias, Bacbuquias, Obadias, Mesulão, Talmom e Acube eram porteiros; vigiavam os depósitos junto às portas.
26 These were in the days of Joyakim, the son of Jeshua’, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of ‘Ezra the priest, the expounder.
26 Eles serviram nos dias de Joiaquim, filho de Jesua, neto de Jozadaque, e nos dias do governador Neemias e de Esdras, sacerdote e escriba.
27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to celebrate the dedication with joy, with thanksgivings, and with singing, cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
27 Por ocasião da dedicação dos muros de Jerusalém, os levitas foram procurados e trazidos de onde moravam para Jerusalém para celebrarem a dedicação alegremente, com cânticos e ações de graças, ao som de címbalos, harpas e liras.
28 And there gathered themselves together the sons of the singers, both out of the district round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophah;
28 Os cantores foram trazidos dos arredores de Jerusalém, dos povoados dos netofatitas,
29 Also from Beth–hagilgal, and out of the fields of Geba’ and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves villages round about Jerusalem.
29 de Bete-Gilgal, e da região de Geba e Azmavete, pois os cantores haviam construído povoados para si ao redor de Jerusalém.
30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and then they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
30 Os sacerdotes e os levitas se purificaram cerimonialmente, e depois purificaram também o povo, as portas e os muros.
31 Then brought I up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and stationed two great companies for thanksgiving, and trains to walk on the right hand upon the wall by the dung–gate;
31 Ordenei aos líderes de Judá que subissem ao alto do muro. Também designei dois grandes coros para darem graças. Um deles avançou em cima do muro, para a direita, até à porta do Esterco.
32 And after them walked Hosha’yah, and half of the princes of Judah,
32 Hosaías e metade dos líderes de Judá os seguiram,
33 And ‘Azaryah, ‘Ezra, and Meshullam,
33 e mais Azarias, Esdras, Mesulão,
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shema’yah, and Jeremiah;
34 Judá, Benjamim, Semaías, Jeremias,
35 And of the sons of priests’ with trumpets, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shema’yah, the son of Matthanyah, the son of Michayah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Assaph;
35 bem como alguns sacerdotes com trombetas, além de Zacarias, filho de Jônatas, neto de Semaías, bisneto de Matanias, que era filho de Micaías, neto de Zacur, bisneto de Asafe,
36 And his brethren, Shema’yah, and ‘Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Ma’ai, Nethanel, and Judah, Chanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and ‘Ezra the expounder walked before them.
36 e seus colegas, Semaías, Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá e Hanani, que tocavam os instrumentos musicais prescritos por Davi, homem de Deus. Esdras, o escriba, ia na frente deles.
37 And over the fountain–gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even as far as the water–gate, eastward.
37 À porta da Fonte eles subiram diretamente os degraus da cidade de Davi, na subida para o muro, e passaram sobre a casa de Davi até à porta das Águas, a leste.
38 And the other company for thanksgiving that walked in the opposite direction to them,––this one did I follow, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the ovens even as far as the broad wall;
38 O segundo coro avançou no sentido oposto. Eu os acompanhei, quando iam sobre o muro, levando comigo a metade do povo; passamos pela torre dos Fornos até à porta Larga,
39 And above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish–gate, and the tower of Chananel, and the tower of Meah, even as far as the sheep–gate; and they halted at the prison–gate.
39 sobre a porta de Efraim, a porta Jesaná, a porta do Peixe, a torre de Hananeel e a torre dos Cem, indo até à porta das Ovelhas. Junto à porta da Guarda eles pararam.
40 So did the two companies for thanksgiving place themselves in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me.
40 Então, os dois coros encarregados das ações de graças, assumiram os seus lugares no templo de Deus, o que também fiz eu acompanhado da metade dos oficiais,
41 And the priests, Elyakim, Ma’asseyah, Minyamin, Michayah, Elyo’enai, Zechariah, and Chananiah, with trumpets;
41 e também dos sacerdotes Eliaquim, Maaséias, Miniamim, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarias e Hananias, com suas trombetas
42 And Ma’asseyah, and Shema’yah, and El’azar, and ‘Uzzi, and Jehochanan, and Malkiyah, and ‘Elam, and ‘Ezer. And the singers sang aloud, with Yisrachyah as their overseer.
42 e também de Maaséias, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Joanã, Malquias, Elão e Ézer. Os coros cantaram sob a direção de Jezraías.
43 And they sacrificed on that day great sacrifices, and rejoiced; for God had caused them to rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced: so that the shout of joy of Jerusalem was heard even at a great distance off.
43 E naquele dia contentes ofereceram grandes sacrifícios, pois Deus lhes enchera de grande alegria. As mulheres e as crianças também se alegravam, e os sons da alegria de Jerusalém podiam ser ouvidos de longe.
44 And there were appointed at that day certain men as superintendents over the chambers for the treasuries, for the heave–offerings, for the first–fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions according to the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah had joy on the priests and on the Levites that stood there,
44 Naquela ocasião foram designados alguns encarregados dos depósitos onde se recebiam as contribuições gerais, os primeiros frutos e os dízimos. Das lavouras que havia em torno das cidades eles deviam trazer para os depósitos as porções exigidas pela Lei para os sacerdotes e os levitas. E, de fato, o povo de Judá estava satisfeito com os sacerdotes e os levitas que ministravam no templo.
45 And kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and as singers and gatekeepers, according to the command of David, and of Solomon his son.
45 Eles celebravam o culto ao seu Deus e o ritual de purificação, dos quais também participavam os cantores e os porteiros, de acordo com as ordens de Davi e do seu filho Salomão.
46 For in the days of David and Assaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
46 Pois muito tempo antes, nos dias de Davi e de Asafe, havia dirigentes dos cantores e que dirigiam os cânticos de louvor e de graças a Deus.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeeper, what was required for every day on its day; and they sanctified things for the Levites: and the Levites sanctified the portion due for the children of Aaron.
47 Sucedeu, pois, que nos dias de Zorobabel e de Neemias, todo o Israel contribuía com ofertas diárias para os cantores e para os porteiros, além de separar a parte dos outros levitas, e os levitas separavam a porção dos descendentes de Arão.
