1 And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:
1 Estes são os reis a leste do Jordão que os israelitas mataram e de cujas terras se apossaram. Seu território se estendia desde o vale do Arnom até o monte Hermom, e incluía toda a terra no lado leste do vale do Jordão.
2 Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from ‘Aro’er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil’ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of ‘Ammon;
2 Derrotaram Seom, rei dos amorreus, que vivia em Hesbom. Seu reino abrangia Aroer, à beira do vale do Arnom, e se estendia desde a cidade no meio do vale até o rio Jaboque, que é a divisa com os amonitas. Esse território incluía toda a metade sul de Gileade.
3 And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth–hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;
3 Seom também controlava o vale do Jordão e algumas regiões a leste, desde o mar da Galileia, ao norte, até o mar Morto, ao sul, incluindo o caminho para Bete-Jesimote e, mais ao sul, as encostas do monte Pisga.
4 And the territory of ‘Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at ‘Ashtaroth and at Edre’i,
4 Derrotaram Ogue, rei de Basã e o último dos refains, que vivia em Astarote e em Edrei.
5 And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma’achathites, and half Gil’ad, to the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.
5 Ele governava o território que se estendia desde o monte Hermom até Salcá, ao norte; toda a região de Basã, a leste, até a divisa com os reinos de Gesur e Maaca, a oeste. Esse território abrangia a metade norte de Gileade, até a divisa com Seom, rei de Hesbom.
6 These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.
6 Moisés, servo do S enhor , e os israelitas haviam destruído o povo do rei Seom e o povo do rei Ogue. Moisés havia entregado a terra deles como propriedade às tribos de Rúben e Gade e à meia tribo de Manassés.
7 And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal–gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;
7 Esta é a lista dos reis que Josué e os israelitas derrotaram a oeste do rio Jordão, desde Baal-Gade, no vale do Líbano, até o monte Halaque, que sobe em direção a Seir. Josué deu essa terra como propriedade às tribos de Israel e a repartiu entre elas.
8 In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
8 A terra abrangia a região montanhosa, as colinas do oeste, o vale do Jordão, as encostas dos montes, o deserto e o Neguebe. Nessa região viviam os hititas, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus. Estes são os reis que Israel derrotou:
9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of ‘Ai, which was beside Bethel one;
9 O rei de Jericó, o rei de Ai, próxima a Betel,
10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
10 o rei de Jerusalém, o rei de Hebrom,
11 The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
11 o rei de Jarmute, o rei de Laquis,
12 The king of ‘Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
12 o rei de Eglom, o rei de Gezer,
13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
13 o rei de Debir, o rei de Geder,
14 The king of Chormah, one; the king of ‘Arad, one;
14 o rei de Hormá, o rei de Arade,
15 The king of Libnah, one; the king of ‘Adullam, one;
15 o rei de Libna, o rei de Adulão,
16 The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beth’el, one;
16 o rei de Maquedá, o rei de Betel,
17 The king of Tappuach, one; the king of Chepher, one;
17 o rei de Tapua, o rei de Héfer,
18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
18 o rei de Afeque, o rei de Lasarom,
19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Chazor, one;
19 o rei de Madom, o rei de Hazor,
20 The king of Shimron–meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
20 o rei de Sinrom-Merom, o rei de Acsafe,
21 The king of Ta’anach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
21 o rei de Taanaque, o rei de Megido,
22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Yokne’am on Carmel, one;
22 o rei de Quedes, o rei de Jocneão, no Carmelo,
23 The king of Dor in the district of Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Gilgal, one;
23 o rei de Dor, na cidade de Nafote-Dor, o rei de Goim, em Gilgal,
24 The king of Tirzah, one: in all thirty and one kings.
24 e o rei de Tirza. Ao todo, os israelitas derrotaram 31 reis.
