1 The sons of Judah: Perez, Chezron, and Carmi, and Chur, and Shobal.
1 Os filhos de Judá foram: Perez, Hezrom, Carmi, Hur e Sobal.
2 And Reayah the son of Shobal begat Jachath, and Jachath begat Achumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zor’athites.
2 Reaías, filho de Sobal, gerou a Jaate; Jaate gerou a Aumai e a Laade; são estas as famílias dos zoratitas.
3 And these were those of the father of ‘Etam, Jizre’el, and Yishma, and Yidbash: and the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi.
3 Estes foram os filhos do pai de Etã: Jezreel, Isma e Idbas; e era o nome da irmã deles Hazelelponi;
4 And Penuel the father of Gedor, and ‘Ezer the father of Chushah. These are the sons of Chur, the first–born of Ephratah, the father of Beth–lechem.
4 e mais Penuel, pai de Gedor, e Ezer, pai de Husa; estes foram os filhos de Hur, o primogênito de Efrata e pai de Belém.
5 And Ashchur the father of Thekoa’ had two wives. Chelah and Na’arah.
5 Asur, pai de Tecoa, teve duas mulheres: Hela e Naara.
6 And Na’arah bore him Achuzzam, and Chepher, and Themeni. and Haachashthari. These were the sons of Na’arah.
6 Naara deu à luz a Auzão, a Héfer, a Temeni e a Haastari; estes foram os filhos de Naara.
7 And the sons of Chelah were, Zereth, and Zochar, and Ethnan.
7 Os filhos de Hela: Zerete, Isar e Etnã.
8 And Koz begat ‘Anub and Hazzobebah, and the families of Acharchel the son of Harum.
8 Coz gerou a Anube e a Zobeba e foi pai das famílias de Aarel, filho de Harum.
9 And Ja’bez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Ja’bez, saying, Because I bore him in pain.
9 Foi Jabez mais ilustre do que seus irmãos; sua mãe chamou-lhe Jabez, dizendo: Porque com dores o dei à luz.
10 And Ja’bez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me indeed, and enlarge my boundary, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst act for me against the evil, that it may not give me pain! And God granted him what he had asked for.
10 Jabez invocou o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Oh! Tomara que me abençoes e me alargues as fronteiras, que seja comigo a tua mão e me preserves do mal, de modo que não me sobrevenha aflição! E Deus lhe concedeu o que lhe tinha pedido.
11 And Kelub the brother of Shuchah begat Mechir, who was the father of Eshthon.
11 Quelube, irmão de Suá, gerou a Meir; este é o pai de Estom.
12 And Eshthon begat Beth–rapha, and Passeach, and Techinnah the father of ‘Irnachash. These are the men of Rechah.
12 Estom gerou a Bete-Rafa, a Paseia e a Teína, pai de Ir-Naás; estes foram os homens de Reca.
13 And the sons of Kenas: ‘Othniel and Serayah. And the sons of ‘Othniel: Chathath.
13 Os filhos de Quenaz foram: Otniel e Seraías; o filho de Otniel: Hatate.
14 And Me’onothai begat ‘Ophrah: and Serayah begat Joab, the father of the valley of the carpenters; for they were carpenters.
14 Meonotai gerou a Ofra, e Seraías gerou a Joabe, fundador do vale dos Artífices, porque os dali eram artífices.
15 And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh: ‘Iru, Elah, and Na’am. And the sons of Elah: Ukenas.
15 Os filhos de Calebe, filho de Jefoné: Iru, Elá e Naã; e o filho de Elá: Quenaz.
16 And the sons of Jehalelel: Ziph, and Ziphah, Thireya, and Assarel.
16 Os filhos de Jealelel: Zife, Zifa, Tiria e Asareel.
17 And the sons of ‘Ezrah: Jether, and Mered, and ‘Epher, and Jalon. And she conceived and bore Miriam, and Shammai, and Yishbach the father of Eshthemoa’.
17 Os filhos de Ezra: Jéter, Merede, Éfer e Jalom; foram os filhos de Bitia, filha de Faraó, que Merede tomou por mulher: Miriã, Samai e Isbá, pai de Estemoa.
18 And his wife the Jewess bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Cheber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoach. And these are the sons of D the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered had taken for wife.
18 E sua mulher, judia, deu à luz a Jerede, pai de Gedor, a Héber, pai de Socó, e a Jecutiel, pai de Zanoa.
19 And the sons of the wife of Hodiyah the sister of Nacham: The father of Kei’lah the Garmite, and Eshthemoa’ the Ma’achathite.
19 Os filhos da mulher de Hodias, irmã de Naã: Abiqueila, o garmita, e Estemoa, o maacatita.
20 And the sons of Shimon: Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben–chanan, and Thilon. And the sons of Yish’i were, Zocheth, and Benzocheth.
20 Os filhos de Simão: Amnom, Rina, Ben-Hanã e Tilom; e os filhos de Isi: Zoete e Ben-Zoete;
21 The sons of Shelah the son of Judah: ‘Er the father of Lechah, and La’dah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of those that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea’.
21 os filhos de Selá, filho de Judá: Er, pai de Leca, e Lada, pai de Maressa; Selá foi também pai das famílias da casa dos obreiros em linho, em Bete-Asbeia,
22 And Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had dominion in Moab, and Jashubi–lechem. And these are ancient things.
22 como ainda Joquim, e os homens de Cozeba, de Joás, de Sarafe, os quais dominavam sobre Moabe, e de Jasubi-Leém. Estes registros são antigos.
23 There were the potters, and those that dwelt in plantations and sheepfolds: for the king’s sake to do his work they dwelt there.
23 Estes eram oleiros e habitantes de Netaim e de Gedera; moravam ali com o rei para o servirem.
24 The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerach, and Saul.
24 Os filhos de Simeão foram: Nemuel, Jamim, Jaribe, Zerá e Saul,
25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma’ his son.
25 de quem foi filho Salum, de quem foi filho Mibsão, de quem foi filho Misma.
26 And the sons of Mishma’: Hamuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shim’i his son.
26 O filho de Misma foi Hamuel, de quem foi filho Zacur, de quem foi filho Simei.
27 And Shim’i had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, nor did all their family multiply, equal to the children of Judah.
27 Simei teve dezesseis filhos e seis filhas; mas seus irmãos não tiveram muitos filhos, nem se multiplicaram todas as suas famílias como os filhos de Judá.
28 And they dwelt at Beer–sheba’, and Moladah, and Chazar–shu’al.
28 Habitavam em Berseba, em Molada, em Hazar-Sual,
29 And at Bilhah, and at ‘Ezem, and at Tholad,
29 em Bila, em Ezém, em Tolade,
30 And at Bethuel, and at Chormah, and at Ziklag.
30 em Betuel, em Horma, em Ziclague,
31 And at Beth–marcaboth, and Chazar–sussim, and at Beth–biri, and at Sha’arayim. These were their cities until the reign of David.
31 em Bete-Marcabote, em Hazar-Susim, em Bete-Biri e em Saaraim. Estas foram as suas cidades, até ao reinado de Davi.
32 And their villages were ‘Etam, and ‘Ayin, Rimmon, and Tochen, and ‘Ashan, five cities;
32 As suas aldeias foram: Etã, Aim, Rimom, Toquém e Asã; cinco cidades,
33 And all their villages that were round about these same cities as far as Ba’al. These were their dwelling–places, and after them are they recorded.
33 com todas as suas aldeias que estavam ao redor destas cidades, até Baal. Estas foram as suas habitações e tinham seu registro genealógico.
34 And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amazyah,
34 Estes, registrados por seus nomes, foram príncipes nas suas famílias: Mesobabe, Janleque, Josa, filho de Amazias,
35 And Joel, and Jehu the son of Joshibyah, the son of Serayah, the son of ‘Assiel.
35 Joel, Jeú, filho de Josibias, filho de Seraías, filho de Asiel,
36 And Elyo’enai and Ja’akobah, and Jeshochayah, and ‘Assayah, and Adiel, and Jessimiel, and Benayah.
36 Elioenai, Jaacobá, Jesoaías, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaia,
37 And Ziza the son of Shiph’i, the son of Allon, the son of Jedayah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shema’yah:
37 Ziza, filho de Sifi, filho de Alom, filho de Jedaías, filho de Sinri, filho de Semaías;
38 These mentioned by their names were princes in their families; and their family divisions spread themselves out greatly.
38 e as famílias de seus pais se multiplicaram abundantemente.
39 And they went to the entrance of Gedur, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
39 Chegaram até à entrada de Gedor, ao oriente do vale, à procura de pasto para os seus rebanhos.
40 And they found a fat and good pasture, and the land was roomy, and quiet, and peaceable; for descendants of Ham dwelt there before that time.
40 Acharam pasto farto e bom e a terra espaçosa, tranquila e pacífica, onde habitaram, dantes, os descendentes de Cam.
41 And then came these written down by name in the days of Hezekiah the king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their stead; because there was pasture there for their flocks.
41 Estes, que estão registrados por seus nomes, vieram nos dias de Ezequias, rei de Judá, e derribaram as tendas, e feriram os meunitas que se encontraram ali, e os destruíram totalmente até ao dia de hoje, e habitaram em lugar deles, porque ali havia pasto para os seus rebanhos.
42 And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Se’ir having at their head Pelatyah, and Ne’aryah, and Rephayah, and ‘Uzziel, the sons of Yish’i.
42 Também deles, dos filhos de Simeão, quinhentos homens foram ao monte Seir, tendo por capitães a Pelatias, a Nearias, a Refaías e a Uziel, filhos de Isi.
43 And they smote the rest of the ‘Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
43 Feriram o restante dos que escaparam dos amalequitas e habitam ali até ao dia de hoje.
