1 Ó Senhor Deus, a ti dirijo a minha oração.
2 [Beth] O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
2 Meu Deus, eu confio em ti. Salva-me da vergonha da derrota; não deixes que os meus inimigos se alegrem com a minha desgraça.
3 [Gimel] Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed; those which rebel without cause shall be ashamed.
3 Os que confiam em ti não sofrerão a vergonha da derrota, mas serão derrotados os que sem motivo se revoltam contra ti.
4 [Daleth] Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
4 Ó Senhor , ensina-me os teus caminhos! Faze com que eu os conheça bem.
5 [He] Cause me to walk in thy truth and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my saving health; I have waited for thee all the day.
5 Ensina-me a viver de acordo com a tua verdade, pois tu és o meu Deus, o meu Salvador. Eu sempre confio em ti.
6 [Vau] Remember, O LORD, thy compassion and thy mercies, for they [have been] ever of old.
6 Ó Senhor , lembra da tua bondade e do teu amor, que tens mostrado desde os tempos antigos.
7 [Zain] Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellions; according to thy mercy remember me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
7 Esquece os pecados e os erros da minha mocidade. Por causa do teu amor e da tua bondade, lembra de mim, ó
8 [Cheth] Good and upright [is] the LORD: therefore he will teach sinners in the way.
8 O Senhor é justo e bom e por isso mostra aos pecadores o caminho que devem seguir.
9 [Teth] He will cause the humble to pass through the judgment, and the meek he will teach his way.
9 Deus guia os humildes no caminho certo e lhes ensina a sua vontade.
10 [Jod] All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
10 Ele é fiel e com amor guia todos os que são fiéis à sua e que obedecem aos seus mandamentos.
11 [Caph] For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it [is] great.
11 Ó Senhor Deus, cumpre a tua promessa e perdoa os meus pecados, porque são muitos!
12 [Lamed] Who [is] the man that fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
12 Aqueles que temem o Senhor aprenderão com ele o caminho que devem seguir.
13 [Mem] His soul shall rest in [that which is] good; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
13 Eles sempre terão sucesso, e a será dos seus filhos.
14 [Nun] The secret of the LORD [is] for those that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.
14 O Senhor Deus é amigo daqueles que o temem e lhes ensina as condições da aliança que fez com eles.
15 [Samech] Mine eyes [are] ever toward the LORD, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
15 Eu olho sempre para o Senhor , pois ele me livra do perigo.
16 [Ain] Turn thee unto me and have mercy upon me, for I [am] desolate and afflicted.
16 Ó Deus, olha para mim e tem pena de mim, pois estou sendo perseguido e não tenho proteção!
17 [Tzaddi] The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring thou me out of my distresses.
17 Livra o meu coração de todas as aflições e tira-me de todas as dificuldades.
18 [Resh] Look upon my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins.
18 Vê as minhas tristezas e sofrimentos e perdoa todos os meus pecados.
19 [Resh] Consider my enemies, for they are multiplied; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
19 Vê quantos inimigos tenho; vê como é grande o ódio deles contra mim.
20 [Schin] O keep my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
20 Protege-me e salva-me; livra-me da vergonha da derrota, pois em ti encontro segurança.
21 [Tau] Integrity and uprightness shall preserve me, for I have waited for thee.
21 Que a minha honestidade e sinceridade me protejam porque confio em ti!
22 [Pe] Ransom Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.:
22 Ó Deus, salva Israel, o teu povo, de todas as suas dificuldades!
