English Jubilee 2000 Bible (JUBL2000) vs BKJ
1 The proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel;
1 Provérbios de Salomão, o filho de Davi, rei de Israel;
2 to know wisdom and chastening; to understand prudent words;
2 para conhecer a sabedoria e a instrução; para entender as palavras do entendimento;
3 to receive the chastening of prudence, justice, judgment, and equity;
3 para receber a instrução da sabedoria, da justiça, do juízo e da equidade;
4 to give prudence to the simple, and to the young men knowledge and council.
4 para dar sutileza aos simples, e aos jovens, conhecimento e discrição.
5 If the wise will hear [them], doctrine shall increase, and the man of understanding shall acquire wise counsel:
5 O homem sábio ouvirá e aumentará o aprendizado; e o homem de entendimento alcançará sábios conselhos;
6 To understand [a] parable and [the] interpretation; the words of the wise and their enigmas.
6 para entender um provérbio e sua interpretação; as palavras dos sábios e seus enigmas.
7 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge, [but] fools despise wisdom and chastening.
7 O temor do SENHOR é o princípio do conhecimento; mas os loucos desprezam a sabedoria e a instrução.
8 My son, hearken unto the chastening of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
8 Filho meu, ouve a instrução de teu pai, e não abandone a lei de tua mãe;
9 For they [shall be] an increase of grace unto thy head and protection about thy neck.
9 porque serão como ornamento de graça sobre a tua cabeça, e correntes ao teu pescoço.
10 My son, if sinners entice thee, do not consent.
10 Filho meu, se pecadores te seduzirem, não consintas.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay [in] wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without cause.
11 Se eles disserem: Vem conosco, ponhamo-nos em espera por sangue, deixe-nos emboscar o inocente sem motivo;
12 Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol and whole as those that go down into the pit;
12 vamos engoli-los vivos, como a sepultura; e inteiros, como os que descem à cova;
13 We shall find all kinds of riches, we shall fill our houses with spoil.
13 encontraremos todos os bens preciosos, encheremos as nossas casas de despojos;
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
14 lança a tua sorte entre nós; tenhamos todos uma só bolsa.
15 My son, do not walk in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
15 Filho meu, não andes tu no caminho com eles; refreia o teu pé de suas veredas;
16 For their feet shall run to evil and make haste to shed blood.
16 porque os seus pés correm para o mal, e se apressam a derramar sangue.
17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
17 Certamente a rede é estendida em vão à vista de qualquer pássaro.
18 And they lay [in]wait for their [own] blood; they ambush their [own] souls.
18 E espreitam por seu próprio sangue; emboscam secretamente suas próprias vidas.
19 So [are] the ways of every one that is greedy of gain [which] takes away the life of those who possess it.
19 Assim são os caminhos de cada um que é ganancioso quanto ao ganho; que toma a vida dos que a possuem.
20 Wisdom cries without; she utters her voice in the streets:
20 A sabedoria clama lá fora; ela levanta sua voz nas ruas.
21 She cries in the chief place of concourse, in the entrance to the gates of the city she utters her words, [saying,]
21 Ela clama no principal lugar da multidão, nas entradas dos portões; e na cidade ela clama suas palavras, dizendo:
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and the fools hate knowledge?
22 Por quanto tempo, ó simples, amareis a simplicidade? E os escarnecedores se deleitarão no seu escárnio, e os tolos odiarão o conhecimento?
23 Return at my reproof; behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
23 Atentai para a minha repreensão; eis que derramarei meu espírito sobre vós, e vos farei conhecer as minhas palavras.
24 Because I have called and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one responded;
24 Porque chamei e vos recusastes; estendi a minha mão, e nenhum homem se importou,
25 [for because] ye have disregarded all my counsel and rejected my reproof:
25 mas reduziram a nada todo o meu conselho, e não quisestes minha repreensão,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes upon [you];
26 eu também rirei de vossa calamidade; zombarei quando vosso temor chegar;
27 when what you have feared comes as destruction, and your calamity comes as a whirlwind; when tribulation and anguish come upon you.
27 quando o vosso temor chegar como desolação, e a vossa destruição vier como um redemoinho de vento; quando a aflição e a angústia vierem sobre vós.
28 Then they shall call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
28 Então, eles me chamarão, mas eu não responderei; de madrugada me buscarão, mas não me encontrarão.
29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
29 Porque odiaram o conhecimento; e não escolheram o temor do SENHOR;
30 They rejected my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
30 eles não quiseram o meu conselho, e desprezaram toda a minha repreensão.
31 Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own counsel.
31 Portanto, comerão do fruto de seu próprio caminho, e encher-se-ão de seus próprios artifícios.
32 For the rest of the ignorant shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
32 Porque o desvio dos simples os matará, e a prosperidade dos tolos os destruirá.
33 But whosoever hearkens unto me shall dwell safely and shall rest from [the] fear of evil.:
33 Mas quem me ouvir, habitará em segurança, e estará em paz em relação ao medo do mal.
