1 E Gesù prese di nuovo a parlar loro in parabole dicendo:
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 Il regno de’ cieli è simile ad un re, il quale fece le nozze del suo figliuolo.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 E mandò i suoi servitori a chiamare gl’invitati alle nozze; ma questi non vollero venire.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Di nuovo mandò degli altri servitori, dicendo: Dite agli invitati: Ecco, io ho preparato il mio pranzo; i miei buoi ed i miei animali ingrassati sono ammazzati, e tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ma quelli, non curandosene, se n’andarono, chi al suo campo, chi al suo traffico;
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 gli altri poi, presi i suoi servitori, li oltraggiarono e li uccisero.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Allora il re s’adirò, e mandò le sue truppe a sterminare quegli omicidi e ad ardere la loro città.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Quindi disse ai suoi servitori: Le nozze, si, sono pronte; ma gl’invitati non ne erano degni.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Andate dunque sui crocicchi delle strade e chiamate alle nozze quanti troverete.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 E quei servitori, usciti per le strade, raunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, cattivi e buoni; e la sala delle nozze fu ripiena di commensali.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Or il re, entrato per vedere quelli che erano a tavola, notò quivi un uomo che non vestiva l’abito di nozze.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 E gli disse: Amico, come sei entrato qua senza aver un abito da nozze? E colui ebbe la bocca chiusa.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Allora il re disse ai servitori: Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo nelle tenebre di fuori. Ivi sarà il pianto e lo stridor de’ denti.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Poiché molti son chiamati, ma pochi eletti.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Allora i Farisei, ritiratisi, tennero consiglio per veder di coglierlo in fallo nelle sue parole.

16 E gli mandarono i loro discepoli con gli Erodiani a dirgli: Maestro, noi sappiamo che sei verace e insegni la via di Dio secondo verità, e non ti curi d’alcuno, perché non guardi all’apparenza delle persone.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Dicci dunque: Che te ne pare? E’ egli lecito pagare il tributo a Cesare, o no?
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Ma Gesù, conosciuta la loro malizia, disse: Perché mi tentate, ipocriti?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Mostratemi la moneta del tributo. Ed essi gli porsero un denaro. Ed egli domandò loro:
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Di chi è questa effigie e questa iscrizione?
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Gli risposero: Di Cesare. Allora egli disse loro: Rendete dunque a Cesare quel ch’è di Cesare, e a Dio quel ch’è di Dio.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Ed essi, udito ciò, si maravigliarono; e, lasciatolo, se ne andarono.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 In quell’istesso giorno vennero a lui de’ Sadducei, i quali dicono che non v’è risurrezione, e gli domandarono:
23 — ausente —
24 Maestro, Mosè ha detto: Se uno muore senza figliuoli, il fratel suo sposi la moglie di lui e susciti progenie al suo fratello.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Or v’erano fra di noi sette fratelli; e il primo, ammogliatosi, morì; e, non avendo prole, lasciò sua moglie al suo fratello.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Lo stesso fece pure il secondo, poi il terzo, fino al settimo.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Infine, dopo tutti, morì anche la donna.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette sarà ella moglie? Poiché tutti l’hanno avuta.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Ma Gesù, rispondendo, disse loro: Voi errate, perché non conoscete le Scritture, né la potenza di Dio.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Perché alla risurrezione né si prende né si dà moglie; ma i risorti son come angeli ne’ cieli.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete voi letto quel che vi fu insegnato da Dio,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 quando disse: Io sono l’Iddio di Abramo e l’Iddio d’Isacco e l’Iddio di Giacobbe? Egli non è l’Iddio de’ morti, ma de’ viventi.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 E le turbe, udite queste cose, stupivano della sua dottrina.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Or i Farisei, udito ch’egli avea chiusa la bocca a’ Sadducei, si raunarono insieme;
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 e uno di loro, dottor della legge, gli domandò, per metterlo alla prova:
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 Maestro, qual è, nella legge, il gran comandamento?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 E Gesù gli disse: Ama il Signore Iddio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore e con tutta l’anima tua e con tutta la mente tua.
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Questo è il grande e il primo comandamento.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Il secondo, simile ad esso, è: Ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso.
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Da questi due comandamenti dipendono tutta la legge ed i profeti.
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Or essendo i Farisei raunati, Gesù li interrogò dicendo:
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 Che vi par egli del Cristo? di chi è egli figliuolo? Essi gli risposero: Di Davide.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Ed egli a loro: Come dunque Davide, parlando per lo Spirito, lo chiama Signore, dicendo:
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché io abbia posto i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi?
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, com’è egli suo figliuolo?
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 E nessuno potea replicargli parola; e da quel giorno nessuno ardì più interrogarlo.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
