1 ኮትኮግንደረ የታ ከነንከስ! የንታ ክእስንከስካንታ ክትምከቴ፥ ኮትኮግንደንካ ዋልቃ ዋልቀንከስ ሳብታ ቃለንካ አመንዳክባብከስ ማችንከረ ዎራ ቃለንታ ኤስስንካይሳ ከነንከስታ እዘንካ Ꮊክ ጎርስምካንታ ማደክ ማተሬ።

2 ኬት ጎርስምካንታ ማድንደረ ጭለጭል ማቻንደትምኬ ኤድም ቦንጅድንዳ ማቻንደት የንታ ዶቅንተን ኬታ ይሰድንደትᎺኬ።
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 የንታ ላቅምና ማቴም ጋይበካ፥ ዎርቀካ ሰክሰረቶ ቦንችምሳን አፍላ ቆብርካ የንታ ዘንጎካ ኡርድን ሰክስካ Ꮊይ ማታ
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 ኬዛር ማቼ የንታ ላቅምና ሳብታ እሪ ባዘና ኮታ አንድር ቦንችምሳንደትኬ ካይዳክን ሰክስካ ቡዳርንካ አትርኬ የንታ ማተን ይርክሳ ይድን አያንንካ ሰክስምድባብ ቡዳር አችምሶ Ꮊፈርድንዳ ዋርጎካ ኤደትችና ማታ።
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 ኤናእሪ ስለናር ይንታ Ꮊድን ጉርምን ሳብዘን ዛቅስባብከስ ሳብካንታ ፋስምስባብ ማነንከስ ይንታ ማተንም ከት ሰክሳንደና ኮግንደካ Ꮊቄ፥ ኬታ ይንታ ክእስንከስካንታ ክትምድ Ꮊቀኬ።
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 ክትምስባብከሰረ ሳራ አብራሀመም “እስታ ማታ ቆልስባቦ” ና ጋየሮ ኮት ክትካንታ ክትምድ Ꮊቃንደትግንዴ፥ የተረ ኡርማ ማቻንደትም ሪ የ ይሳንማቼኬ ዋልቀረ ጳስዝድር የም ገቅሳክ ማቼ ኮታ ይንቸቴ።
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 የታ ክእስንከሶ! የንታ ከነንከስካ ክክን በድ ገቅርካ የካ ዶእከቴ፥ የንዘንካ ስግ ጋፍሳን ፍዝር ከት ማቻንካንተኬ የንከረ ክክን ሰንፔታ ዉች እምንተን ከት ተይድንካንታ ከትም ቦንችከቴ፥ ኮግንደካ የንታ ምክስንታ ጎሀ ማድንዳ ሪ ዶቃዬ።
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 ይና ነገዳንደትካ የታ ሙደነረ ክክ ክክ ኤእሶ ዶእከቴ፥ አብ ኤድንታ ማጠን የንዘንግንዳ ማስሰቶ ፋይድከቴ፥ እስመንተኬ ካንስተካ ግድያር ዶቅድን ሶልመንግንዳ ሶልምከቴ፥ ላቅም ኤድኬ የንታ ማተን ይርክሳ ይድባብ ማትከቴ።

9 አንጅኬት ዳት ዳቅልን ዳቅልካ የክታ ካርያር የክት Ꮊይ ማሰቴ፥ የ ኤልምሳንዳ ኮም ይንተካ አንጀም ተይካንቴ፥
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 ጭል ማጻፍና፥
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 ዳቅል ሪይዘንካ ክት ጎተራ፥ ኡርማ ሪንመረ ክት ይያ
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 ጮይስታ አፍንከስ
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 ኡርማ ሪም ይይካንታ የ ዳቅሴ የም ኡፈልዝድባብ Ꮊይራ?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 ኡርማ ሪም ይይንተካ ማጠም የ ተይዴ ዎራ አንጀም Ꮊፍተረቴ፥ ኤድንከስታ ኬዛ ዝግመትን Ꮊይጳሰቴ Ꮊይማጠረቴ።
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 ጮይስ ክርስቶሰም የንታ ቡዳር ቦንችከቴ፥ የንካ ዶቅድን Ꮊድን ጉርምንታ የም ኦይዝድባብከስካንታ ኬዘንታ ማስን ማስካንታ ሙዳᎺይካ ግግምስባብከስ ማትከቴ።
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 የንታ ኬዘንታ ማስና ማቼ ቡዳርንካ አትርኬ ቦንቼካ ማታ፥ ክርስቶሰታ የንታ ማትንተንካ የንታ ዶቅድን ኡርማ እዘንዘን ዳቅል ኬዝድባብ ኤድንከስ ይንታ ዳቅል ኬዘንካ ኦስንድንግንዳ ኡርማ የንታ ገቅር ዶቃጋካ።
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 ሳብታ ጋይታ ማቼ የታ ዳቅል ሪም ይይንተካ ማጠም የ ተይድንደትዘንካ ኡርማ ሪም ይይንተካ ማጠም የ ተዬ ኡርዴ።
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 ክርስቶሰረ ይንታ ማታርንካ ሳብደር ዎም የልስካንታ ኖ ጭል ማትሶ ዶቅድዮ ጭል ዎ ማታክባብ ዎካንታ ዎንታ ጎመንጎካ ካርንካ ይ ደእዳክንጎግካ ዋልቃዱት ማጠም ተይንተካ ደእቴ፥ ኖየረ ዋሄካ ደእሴ፥ አያንካ ማቼ ስለንካ ዶቅድባብ ማቼ።
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 ኮትኮ አያንካ ዞክና ኤሄናር ዶቅድባብ ሰንፔንከዝደር አይሶ ክላ ኬዘን ከትካንታ ኤስምሴ።
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 ኬታኬና ዞክና ኤሄናር Ꮊቅባብ አያንንከስ ኤና እሪ ኖህታ ስለናር ማርከብና ግግስምድንካ ሳብ ከትም ዳንዳእካ ካርሰዘን ዶቅድንካ ክትምዳኮተ ጋይስባብከሰኬ። ኮት ማርከብንታ ዋሪ አርድሶ ሎቀንካ ፋጭባብከስ ፋይደካ ላመካይ ማድባብ መርሳ ኤደኬ።
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 ኮነረ ሎቀና ታ የም አቅዝድንዳ ስእርታ ካምስዬ፥ ኮና ስእርና ዘነታ ጭምም Ꮊልእዝድንዳ ማታክናና ኡርማ ገቅርም Ꮊፍካንታ ሳብደር የልድን ምክሴ፥ የም አቅዝድንደረ የሱስ ክርስቶሰታ አምንተንጎኬ፥
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 ኖ ጭላር አይሶ ሳብ ባቤንታ ምዝዘኔ፥ ክታይንችንኬ ገችታ ኤረንባብከስ ኣክቴ ጋይስባብከሰረ ክትካንታ ቆልምተኬ።
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
