¹ A song or Psalme of David. O God, mine heart is prepared, so is my tongue: I will sing and giue praise.

¹ Firme está o meu coração, ó Deus! Cantarei e entoarei louvores de toda a minha alma.

² Awake viole and harpe: I will awake early.

² Acordem, lira e harpa! Quero acordar o alvorecer.

³ I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people, and I wil sing vnto thee among the nations.

³ Eu te darei graças entre os povos, ó Cantarei louvores a ti entre as nações.

⁴ For thy mercy is great aboue the heauens, and thy trueth vnto the clouds.

⁴ Porque a tua misericórdia se eleva acima dos céus, e a tua fidelidade, até as nuvens.

⁵ Exalt thy self, O God, aboue the heauens, and let thy glorie be vpon all the earth,

⁵ Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus; e em toda a terra brilhe a tua glória.

⁶ That thy beloued may be deliuered: helpe with thy right hand and heare me.

⁶ Para que os teus amados sejam livres, salva-nos com a tua mão direita e responde-nos.

⁷ God hath spoken in his holinesse: therefore I will reioyce, I shall deuide Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.

⁷ Deus falou na sua santidade: “Exultarei; dividirei Siquém e medirei o vale de Sucote.

⁸ Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iuda is my lawgiuer.

⁸ Gileade é meu e meu é também Manassés; Efraim é o meu capacete; Judá é o meu cetro.

⁹ Moab shalbe my washpot: ouer Edom wil I cast out my shoe: vpon Palestina wil I triumph.

⁹ Moabe, porém, é a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom atirarei a minha sandália; sobre a Filístia jubilarei.”

¹⁰ Who will leade mee into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?

¹⁰ Quem me conduzirá à cidade fortificada? Quem me guiará até Edom?

¹¹ Wilt not thou, O God, which haddest forsaken vs, and diddest not goe foorth, O God, with our armies?

¹¹ Não nos rejeitaste, ó Deus? Tu não sais, ó Deus, com os nossos exércitos!

¹² Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.

¹² Presta-nos auxílio na angústia, pois vão é o socorro humano.

¹³ Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall treade downe our enemies.

¹³ Em Deus faremos proezas, porque ele mesmo pisará os nossos adversários.
