¹ A song or Psalme of David. O God, mine heart is prepared, so is my tongue: I will sing and giue praise.

¹ Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus; cantarei, sim, cantarei louvores, com toda a minha alma.

² Awake viole and harpe: I will awake early.

² Despertai, saltério e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei a aurora.

³ I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people, and I wil sing vnto thee among the nations.

³ Louvar-te-ei entre os povos, Senhor, cantar-te-ei louvores entre as nações.

⁴ For thy mercy is great aboue the heauens, and thy trueth vnto the clouds.

⁴ Pois grande, acima dos céus, é a tua benignidade, e a tua verdade ultrapassa as mais altas nuvens.

⁵ Exalt thy self, O God, aboue the heauens, and let thy glorie be vpon all the earth,

⁵ Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus, e seja a tua glória acima de toda a terra!

⁶ That thy beloued may be deliuered: helpe with thy right hand and heare me.

⁶ Para que sejam livres os teus amados, salva-nos com a tua destra, e ouve-nos.

⁷ God hath spoken in his holinesse: therefore I will reioyce, I shall deuide Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.

⁷ Deus falou no seu santuário: Eu me regozijarei; repartirei Siquém, e medirei o vale de Sucote.

⁸ Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iuda is my lawgiuer.

⁸ Meu é Gileade, meu é Manassés; também Efraim é o meu capacete; Judá o meu cetro.

⁹ Moab shalbe my washpot: ouer Edom wil I cast out my shoe: vpon Palestina wil I triumph.

⁹ Moabe a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom lançarei o meu sapato; sobre a Filístia bradarei em triunfo.

¹⁰ Who will leade mee into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?

¹⁰ Quem me conduzirá à cidade fortificada? Quem me guiará até Edom?

¹¹ Wilt not thou, O God, which haddest forsaken vs, and diddest not goe foorth, O God, with our armies?

¹¹ Porventura não nos rejeitaste, ó Deus? Não sais, ó Deus, com os nossos exércitos.

¹² Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.

¹² Dá-nos auxílio contra o adversário, pois vão é o socorro da parte do homem.

¹³ Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall treade downe our enemies.

¹³ Em Deus faremos proezas; porque é ele quem calcará aos pés os nossos inimigos.
