¹ Bvt Iob answered, and sayde,

¹ Mas Jó respondeu e disse:

² Whom helpest thou? him that hath no power? sauest thou the arme that hath no strength?

² Como ajudaste aquele que está sem poder? Como salvas o braço que não tem força?

³ Whome counsellest thou? him that hath no wisedome? thou shewest right well as the thing is.

³ Como aconselhaste aquele que não tem sabedoria; e como plenamente declaraste a coisa como ela é?

⁴ To whom doest thou declare these words? or whose spirit commeth out of thee?

⁴ A quem proferiste palavras, e de quem é o espírito que veio de ti?

⁵ The dead things are formed vnder the waters, and neere vnto them.

⁵ Coisas mortas são formadas debaixo das águas, e dos seus habitantes.

⁶ The graue is naked before him, and there is no couering for destruction.

⁶ O inferno está nu perante ele, e a destruição não tem cobertura.

⁷ He stretcheth out the North ouer the emptie place, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing.

⁷ Ele estende o norte sobre o lugar vazio; e suspende a terra sobre o nada.

⁸ He bindeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them.

⁸ Ele prende as águas em suas nuvens espessas, e a nuvem não se rasga debaixo delas.

⁹ He holdeth backe the face of his throne: and spreadeth his cloude vpon it.

⁹ Ele retém a face do seu trono, e sobre ele estende a sua nuvem.

¹⁰ He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende.

¹⁰ Cercou as águas com fronteiras, até que o dia e a noite cheguem ao fim.

¹¹ The pillars of heauen tremble and quake at his reproofe.

¹¹ Os pilares do céu tremem e se espantam com sua reprovação

¹² The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof.

¹² Ele divide o mar com o seu poder, e com seu entendimento abate o orgulhoso.

¹³ His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

¹³ Pelo seu Espírito ele ornou os céus; a sua mão formou a serpente torta.

¹⁴ Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?

¹⁴ Eis que estas são partes dos seus caminhos; e quão pouca é a porção do que se ouve dele? Porém o trovão do seu poder, quem consegue entender?
