1 O presbítero ao amado Gaio, a quem eu amo na verdade.
2 Beloved, I-am-vowing you about of{all} to-be-being-well-way-ed and to-be-being-healthy according-as the life of{you} is-being-well-way-ed,
2 Amado, acima de tudo, faço votos por tua prosperidade e saúde, assim como é próspera a tua alma.
3 for I-am-joyed extremely of{brothers being-come} and of{witnessing} of{you} to{the truth} according-as you are-walking-around in to{truth}.
3 Pois fiquei sobremodo alegre pela vinda de irmãos e pelo seu testemunho da tua verdade, como tu andas na verdade.
4 I-am_not_having greater-er joy of{the-same[plural]}, in-which-place I-may-be-hearing the my offsprings walking-around in to{truth}.
4 Não tenho maior alegria do que esta, a de ouvir que meus filhos andam na verdade.

5 Amado, procedes fielmente naquilo que praticas para com os irmãos, e isto fazes mesmo quando são estrangeiros,
6 The[plural] witness of{you} to{the love} in-sight of{[the] out-calling} whom[plural], you-will-do well, dispatch[ing]-ahead worthily of{the God},
6 os quais, perante a igreja, deram testemunho do teu amor. Bem farás encaminhando-os em sua jornada por modo digno de Deus;
7 for they-come-out over/for-the-sake of{the name}, taking nothing from of{the nations}.
7 pois por causa do Nome foi que saíram, nada recebendo dos gentios.
8 So, we are-owing to-be-taking-under the to-which-the-same[plural], in-which-place we-may-be-becoming together-workers to{the truth}.
8 Portanto, devemos acolher esses irmãos, para nos tornarmos cooperadores da verdade.

10 Por isso, se eu for aí, far-lhe-ei lembradas as obras que ele pratica, proferindo contra nós palavras maliciosas. E, não satisfeito com estas coisas, nem ele mesmo acolhe os irmãos, como impede os que querem recebê-los e os expulsa da igreja.
11 Beloved, do_not_be-imitating the bad; contrariwise, the beneficial. The doing-beneficial is-being out of{the God}. The doing-bad has_not_seen the God.
11 Amado, não imites o que é mau, senão o que é bom. Aquele que pratica o bem procede de Deus; aquele que pratica o mal jamais viu a Deus.
12 It-has-been-witnessed to{Demetrius} under of{all} and under of{same, the truth}. Moreover, also we are-witnessing and you-have-beheld that the witness-ia of{us} is-being true.
12 Quanto a Demétrio, todos lhe dão testemunho, até a própria verdade, e nós também damos testemunho; e sabes que o nosso testemunho é verdadeiro.
13 I-have-been-having much to-write to{you}; contrariwise, I-am_not_will-ing through of{black/ink} and of{reed} to-be-writing to{you}.
13 Muitas coisas tinha que te escrever; todavia, não quis fazê-lo com tinta e pena,
