1 ዬሱስ አመስ አከነ ጄዼ ፈኬኛን ዴቢ ኬኔፍ፦
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “ሞቱማን ሰሚ ሞቲ እልመሳቲፍ ጭዸ ፉዻ ቆጴሴ ቶኮ ፈካተ።
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 እንስ አከ እሳን ወረ ጭዸ ሰነት አፌረመን ዋመኒፍ ገርቦተሳ ኤርጌ፤ ወር ዋመመን ሱን ገሩ ዹፉ ህንበርባድኔ።
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 “አመስ አከነ ጄዼ ገርቦተ ብራ ኤርጌ፤ ‘ኩኖ አን እርባተኮ ቆጴሴረ፦ ሰንጎትንኮ፣ ሆሪንኮ ጮጮሞንስ ቀለመኒ ወን ሁንድኑ ቆጴፈሜረ። ገረ ጭዸ ፉዻፊ ሄሩማ ኮታ ጄዻቲ ወረ አፌረመን ሰነት ህማ።’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 “እሳን ገሩ ቱፈተኒ፣ እን ቶኮ ገረ ለፈ ቆቲሳሳ፣ ካንሞ ገረ ደልደለሳ ዸቄ።
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 ወር ሀፈንሞ ገርቦተሳ ቀበኒ ሰልጵሰን፤ ንአጄሰንስ።
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 ሞትችስ ንኣሬ። ሎልቶተሳስ ኤርጌ ወረ ገርቦተሳ አጄሰን ሰነ በሌሴ፤ መጋላሳኒስ ንጉቤ።
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 “ኤርገሲ እን ገርቦተሳቲን አከነ ጄዼ፤ ‘ዸንጋን ጭዸ ፉዻ ቆጴፈሜረ፤ ወር አፌረመን ገሩ ጭዸ ከናፍ ህንመሌ።
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 ከናፉ ገረ ቀጣሙረ ከራት በኣቲ ነመ አርግተን ሁንደ ገረ ጭዻት አፌራ።’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 ገርቦትን ሱንስ ከራት በአኒ ነመ አርገን ሁንደ፣ ሀማስ ጋሪስ ወልት ቀበን፤ ገልም ጭዻ ሱንስ ኬሱሞታን ጉተሜ።
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “ሞትች ዮሙ ኬሱሞተ እላሉፍ ኦል ሴኔት፣ ነመ ኡፈተ ጭዻ ህንኡፈትን ቶኮ አችት አርጌ።
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 እንስ፣ ‘ያ ምቹኮ፣ አት አከምት ኡቱ ኡፈተ ጭዻ ህንኡፈትን አስ ሴንቴ?’ ጄዼ እሰ ጋፈቴ። ነምች ገሩ ዋን ዱበቱ ዸቤ።
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 “ሞትችስ ተጃጅልቶተሳቲን፣ ‘ነምቸ ከነ ሀርካፊ ሚለ ህዻቲ ዱከነ አላት ገድ ደርበዻ፤ አችትስ ቦኡፊ እልካን ቀሩቱ ተአ’ ጄዼ።
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 “ወር አፌረመን ባይኤዻቲ፤ ወር ፍለተመን ገሩ ሙራሰ።”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 ኤርገሲስ ፈሪሶትን ዋኑመ እን ዱበቱን እሰ ቀቡፍ ገድ በአኒ ዬሱስት መርአተን።

16 እሳንስ በረቶተሳኒ ገሬ ሄሮድስ ወጅን እሰት ኤርገን። አከነስ ጄዸን፤ “ያ በርሲሳ፣ አከ አት ነመ ዹጋ ታቴ፣ አከ አት ዹጋዻን ከራ ዋቃ በርሲፍቱ ቤክነ። አት ነመ ወል ህንጫልችፍቱ፤ ፉለ ነማስ ህንእላልቱ።
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 ኤጋ ሜ ኑት ህም፤ ያድንኬ ማል? ቄሳሪፍ ግብረ ከፈሉን ኤየመሜረሞ ህንኤየመምኔ?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 ዬሱስ ገሩ ሀምነሳኒ ቤኬ አከነ ጄዼ፤ “ያ ፈኬስቶተነነ፣ እስን ማሊፍ ነ ቆርቱ?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 ሜ ማለቀ ግብረ ከፈልተን ነት አርግሲሳ።” እሳንስ ዲናሪ ቶኮ እሰት ፍደን፤
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 እንሞ፣ “ፈኪን ኩን ከን ኤኙት? ከተቢን ኩንስ ከን ኤኙት?” ጄዼ እሳን ጋፈቴ።
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 እሳንስ፣ “ከን ቄሳር” ጄዸኒ ዴብሰን።
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 እሳንስ ዮሙ ዋን ከነ ዸገአንት ንድንቅፈተን። ከናፍ እሰ ዺሰኒ ቀጄለን።
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 ጉዩመ ሰነ ሰዱቆትን ወር ዱኣ ከኡን ህንጅሩ ጄዸን ቶኮ ቶኮ ገረሳ ዹፈኒ ጋፊ እሰ ጋፈተን።

24 አከነስ ጄዸን፤ “ያ በርሲሳ፣ ሙሴን፣ ‘ነምን ቶኮ ኒቲ ፉዼ ኡቱ እጆሌ ህንዸልችን ዮ ዱኤ ኦቦሌስሳ ኒቲ ሰነ ዻሌ ኦቦሌሰሳቲፍ ሰኚ ሃዻቡ’ ጄዼ ኑት ህሜረ።
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ኩኖ ኦቦሎተ ቶርበቱ ኑ ብረ ቱሬ። እን ጀልቀባ ኒቲ ፉዼ ኡቱ እጆሌ ህንቀባትን ኒቲሳ ኦቦሌሰሳት ዺሴ ዱኤ።
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 ኦቦሌሰ ለመፋፊ ሰደፋረት፣ ሀመ እሰ ቶርበፋትስ ዋኑመ ሰነቱ ተኤ።
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ዹመረት ዱበርትቲንስ ንዱቴ።
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 ኤጋ ጉያ ዱኣ ከኡት፣ ቶርበንሳኒ ኬሳ እሼን ኒቲ እሰ ከሚ ታት? ሁንድሳኒዩ እሼ ፉዸኒሩቲ።”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 ዬሱስሞ አከነ ጄዼ ዴብሴ፤ “እስን ዋን ከተቢወን ቁልቁሉ ዮካን ሁምነ ዋቃ ህንቤክኔፍ ዶጎጎርቱ።
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 ጉያ ዱኣ ከኡት ነሞትን አከ ኤርገሞተ ሰሚ ተኡ መሌ ህንፉዸን፤ ህንሄሩመንስ።
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 ገሩ እስን ዋን ዋቅን ዋኤ ዱኣ ከኡ ወረ ዱአኒ እስኒን ጄዼ ህንዱብፍኔ? እንስ አከነ ጄዸ፤
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘አን ዋቀ አብረሃም፣ ዋቀ ይስሃቂፊ ዋቀ ያቆብ።’እን ዋቀ ወረ ጅራተኒት መሌ ዋቀ ወረ ዱአኒ ምት።”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ነሞትን ዮሙ ዋን ከነ ዸገአንት፣ በርሲሰሳ ድንቅፈተን።
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 ፈሪሶትን ዮሙ አከ ዬሱስ ሰዱቆተ አፋን ቀበቺሴ ዸገአንት ወልት ቀበመን።
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 እሳን ኬሳስ ሀዩን ሴራ ቶኮ አከነ ጄዼ ጋፊ ከናን እሰ ቆሬ፦
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “ያ በርሲሳ፣ ሴረ ኬሳ አጀጅን ጉዳን እሰ ከም?”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 ዬሱስስ አከነ ጄዼን፤ “ዋቀኬ ጎፍትቸ ገራኬ ጉቱዻን፣ ሉቡኬ ጉቱዻን፣ ያደኬ ጉቱዻን ጃለዹ።
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 ኩንስ አጀጀ ጀልቀባቲፊ ጉድቸ።
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 አጀጅን ለመፋንስ እሱመ ፈካተ፦ ‘ኦላኬ አኩመ ኦፊኬቲት ጃለዹ’ጄዸ።
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 ሴሪፊ ራጆትን ሁንድኑ አጀጀወን ከኔን ለማንረት ሁንዴፈሙ።”
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 ኡቱ ፈሪሶትን ወልት ቀበመኒ ጅረኑ ዬሱስ ጋፊ ቶኮ እሳን ጋፈቴ፤
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 እንስ፣ “እስን ዋኤ ክርስቶስ ማል ያዱ? እን እልመ ኤኙት?” ጄዼ።
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 እንስ አከነ እሳኒን ጄዼ፤ “ዮስ ዳዊት አከምት ሀፉራን ጌጌፈሜ፣ ‘ጎፍታ’ እሳን ጄዸሬ? እን አከነ ጄዻቲ፦
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 “ ‘ጎፍታን ጎፍታኮቲን፦
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ኤርገ ዳዊት፣ ‘ጎፍታ’ ጄዼ እሰ ዋሜ፣ ዮስ እን አከምት እልመሳ ተኡ ደንደአሬ?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 ነምን ቶኮዩ ዋን ቶኮ እሳፍ ዴብሱ ህንደንዴኜ፤ ጋፈሲ ጀልቀቤ ነምን ቶኮዩ ዴብኤ ጋፊ እሰ ጋፈቹፍ እጀ ህንጀባትኔ።
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
