Mateus 15
The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs AAI
1 THEN came to Jeshu Pharishee and Sophree, who were from Urishlem, saying,
1 Pharisee naatu Ofafar Bai’obaiyenayah afa Jerusalemane hina Jesu hibatiy hio,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders, and wash not their hands when they eat bread?
2 “Aisim o a bai’ufununayah, bai’obaiyen ata a agir hibitit men tebobosiyasiyar, naatu umah sauwena’e ere kato auman bay te’au?”
3 Jeshu answered, and said to them, Why also do ye transgress the commandment of Aloha for the sake of your tradition?
3 Jesu iyafutih eo, “Bo kwa aisim God ana obaiyunen tur kwa’astu’ub uwatanah hai binanakwar kwabi’ufunun?
4 For Aloha hath said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and whoso curseth his father or his mother, to die he shall die:
4 Anayabin God eo, ‘Hinat tamat kwanakakafiyih’ naatu ‘yait hinah tamah isan tur kakafin na’u’uwih i boro hina’asabun namorob.’
5 but ye say, Every one who shall say to a father, or to a mother, (It is) my oblation whatever thou wouldst be profited by me,
5 Baise kwa a bai’obaiyenamaim, orot ta boro hinat tamat isah iti na’atube inao, ‘Sawar iti o atabibaisi i God ana siwaramih ayai, imih boro men karam anibaisi.’
6 and shall not honour his father or his mother (shall be guiltless). Thus you have abolished the word of Aloha for the sake of your tradition.
6 Sinaf iti na’atube’eban hinat tamat kwakakafiyih? En! Baise, kwa asinaf iti’imaim God ana obaiyunen tur kwayara’iy kwa taiyuw abai’obaiyen kwabi’ufunun.
7 Ye hypocrites! rightly prophesied concerning you Eshaia the prophet, and said,
7 Wanawan rerekabih! Isaiah i tur anababatunamaim kwa isa eo kirum,
8 This people with the lips honour me, but their heart (is) very far from me.
8 ‘Iti sabuw ufurihiwat ayu tirursagiyu, baise hai notamaim i ef yok na’in tema’am.
9 But in vain they reverence me, while they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.
9 Hai kwafiren ayu isou i wanawanan nikuwat; men basit orot hai notamaim ofafar hikikirum sabuw kwati’obaiyih hiti’ufunun.’”
10 And he called to the multitudes, and said to them, Hear, and understand:
10 Imaibo Jesu rou’ay eaf ayuwih iuwih eo, “Abisa ao kwananutanub kwananowar naatu kwanasinaftobon yabin kwanab.
11 It is not that which, entering the mouth, contaminates a man; but that which shall come from the mouth, that contaminates a man.
11 Abisa orot awanamaim erur i men biyan ebobokarit, baise abisa orot awanamaim etitit i biyan ebobokarit.”
12 Then drew near his disciples, saying to him, Knowest thou that the Pharishee who heard this word were offended?
12 Imaibo bai’ufununayah hina Jesu hibatiy, “Pharisee abisa i’o isan hai naniyan ibi’afiy iso’ob?”
13 But he answered, and said to them, Every plantation which my Father who is in heaven hath not planted shall be rooted up.
13 Jesu iyafutih eo, “Ai menatan ayu Tamai maramaim men tatanum i boro an wairoron etei na’uy ra’ah.
14 Leave them: they are blind leaders of the blind; but if a blind man shall lead a blind man, both shall fall into the ditch.
14 Nati Pharisee biyahimaim kwanahaiw, anayabin i matah fim na’atube sabuw afa matah fim tibi’unawiyih, naatu boro etei hinan hub hinare.”
15 And Shemun Kipha answered and said, My Lord, expound to us this parable.
15 Peter eo, “Oroubon anayabin kuo anowar.”
16 But he said to them, Do you also not yet understand?
16 Naatu Jesu uwih eo, “Kwa auman boro’ika tur hai yabih men kwaso’obamih?
17 Know you not that whatsoever entereth the mouth, goeth into the belly, and from thence in purification it is cast without?
17 Abistan awatamaim erur i en kabutitamaim etit naatu en uratane ere’er i kwaso’ob ai en?
18 But whatsoever from the mouth shall come forth, from the heart cometh forth, and this contaminates a child of man.
18 Baise abisa awatamaim etitit i dogor wanawananane etitit, naatu i boun orot biyan ebobokarit.
19 For from the heart proceed evil thoughts, adultery, murder, fornication, robbery, false witness, blasphemy.
19 Anayabin abisa orot dogoromaim etitit i not kakafin, sabuw rauw morob, turanah a’aawah ufuh na, baiwa’an kwanekwan, bain, baifufuwen, naatu yanuw koutabitabir.
20 These are they which defile a man; but if any one eat when his hands are not washed, he is not defiled.
20 Iti sawar i boun orot babin ebi’afiy, baise uma sauwena’e ere kato bay ina’aa boro men ni’afiyimih.”
21 AND Jeshu went forth from thence, and came to the borders of Tsur and Tsaidon.
21 Jesu nati efan ihamiy naatu in tafaram Taiya Sidon hairi wanawanahimaim bar merar afa imaim tit.
22 And, beheld, a Canaanite woman from those coasts came forth crying, and saying, Have mercy upon me, my Lord, son of David! my daughter is grievously possessed with the demon!
22 Canaan babin nati’imaim ma’ama na Jesu isan rerey eo, “Regah, David uwan, kukabibiru; ayu natu babitai i demon kakafih wanawanan hirun hiforatoun hibonawiy bai’akir kakafin maiyow ebaib.”
23 But he did not return her an answer. And the disciples approached and requested from him, saying, Dismiss her, for she crieth after us.
23 Baise Jesu men babin isan tur ta eo. Imih ana bai’ufununayah hina hifefeyan hio, “Babin ku’u sa’ab en, rerey ufut enan.”
24 But he answered and said to them, I am not sent but to the sheep which have wandered from the house of Israel.
24 Jesu iya’afutih eo, “Orot Natun nan i Israel sabuw sheep na’atube hikasiy hima’am akisih isah na.”
25 Then she came, worshipped him, and said, My Lord, help me!
25 Baise babin na Jesu nanamaim sun yowen eo, “Regah Jesu kwibaisu.”
26 Jeshu said to her, It is not proper to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.
26 Jesu eo, “Kek hai bay men karam boro tanarouw nare haru hina’aan.”
27 But she said, Even so, my Lord; yet the dogs eat from the crumbs that fall from the tables of their masters, and live.
27 Babin iya’afut eo, “Turobe Regah, baise bay momosarih tamah ana gemane tere’ere haru tebow te’aa.”
28 Then said Jeshu to her, O woman, great is thy faith! be it to thee as thou wilt! And healed was her daughter from that hour.
28 Imaibo Jesu eo, “Babin o a baitumatum i ra’at kwanekwan, imih abisa kukokok i namatar.” Naatu nati ana maramaim natun babitai yawas.
29 And Jeshu passed from thence, and came near the sea of Galila; and he ascended the mountain and sat there.
29 Jesu efan nati ihamiy naatu Galilee harew kukuf rewarewan remor in, imaibo oyaw ta sisibinamaim yen in tafan mare.
30 And there drew near to him great gatherings (of people), and with them there were the lame, and the blind, and the dumb, and the mutilated, and many others; and they cast them at the feet of Jeshu, and he healed them.
30 Sabuw moumurih maiyow hai sabuw ah kafikafirih, matah fim, ah umah murumurubih, awah gugih naatu sawusawuwih afa moumurih maiyow auman hibow hina Jesu nanamaim hiya, naatu etei’imak iyawasih. 31 So that those multitudes were astounded as they beheld the dumb speaking, and the mutilated made whole, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the Aloha of Isroel.
31 Awah gugih tur hio, ah umah murubih higewasin, ah kafikafirih hibat hiremor, naatu matah fim higewasin hinuw sawar hi’itah isan, sabuw hifofofor men kafaita. Naatu Israel hai God wabin hibora’ara’ah.
32 BUT Jeshu himself called his disciples, and said to them, I have pity for this multitude, who, behold, for three days have continued with me, but there is nothing for them to eat; and to send them away fasting, I am unwilling, lest they should faint in the way.
32 Jesu ana bai’ufununayah eaf hina biyan hitit naatu iuwih eo, “Ayu sabuw aitih abiyababan anayabin hina bairi ama’ama veya tounu sawar naatu boun hai efanamaim men abisa ta ema’am boro hina’aan. 33 The disciples say to him, Whence can we have bread in the wilderness, that we may satisfy this whole multitude?
33 Naatu ana bai’ufununayah hiya’afut hio, “Iti arar yan bay boro menamaim tanab nakaram iti rakit gagamin tana’afuwagiy?”
34 Jeshu saith to them, How many loaves have you? They say to him, Seven, and a few small fishes.
34 Jesu ibatiyih, “Kwa rafiy bai’ab kwabobotanen?” Hiya’afut hio,
35 And he directed that the multitudes should recline upon the ground.
35 Basit Jesu sabuw iuwih me yan himarir.
36 And he took those seven loaves and the fishes, and offered praise, and brake, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes;
36 Jesu rafiy fafar seven naatu siy auman bow God ana a merar yiy, naatu imseseb ana bai’ufununayah itih hibow sabuw hifaramih.
37 and they all did eat and were satisfied: and they took up of the abundance of fragments seven baskets full.
37 Hi’aa etei yah iw, naatu bai’ufununayah bay sabuw hi’aa rebarebah hibiwanen sakasak etei seven hiwanfoten.
38 And they who had eaten, were four thousand men, besides women and children.
38 Sabuw etei 4000 na’atube bay hi’aa, kek baibin men auman hiyabamih.
39 And when he had dismissed the multitudes, he ascended into a ship, and came to the coasts of Magodu.
39 Imaibo Jesu sabuw iyafarih hinan ufunamaim, wa bai rabon na tafaram wabin Magadan imaim tit.
