AAI TUR GEWASIN O BAIBASIT BOUBUN
1 Take heed, that ye do not your rightwiseness before men, to be seen of them, else ye shall have no meed at your Father that is in heavens. (Take heed, that ye do not do your righteousness before men, to be seen by them, or else ye shall have no reward with your Father, who is in heaven.)
1 “Yate nanub, men iti baifa’i isan a bowabow gewasih sabuw nahimaim kwanabowamih, nati na’atube kwanasisinaf na’at, Tamat maramaim boro men a baiyan nitimih.
2 Therefore when thou doest alms, do not thou trumpet before thee, as (the) hypocrites do in (the) synagogues and (in the) streets, that they be worshipped of men; soothly I say to you, they have received their meed. (And so when thou givest charity, do not thou make a noise or a public show about it, like the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they find honour with men; I tell you the truth, they have received their reward.)
2 “Imih veya ta akir wairafin sawar inabitin men inakurereb sabuw etei hinanowaramih, men sabuw wanawanah rerekabih Kou’ay Bar wanawanan, naatu ef gagamih yahimaim sabuw itih baifa’ih isan tisisinafube kwanasinafumih, anababatun a tur ao’owen, nati sabuw i boro men hai siwar ta God nitihimih.
3 But when thou doest alms, know not thy left hand what thy right hand doeth,
3 Isan imih akir wairafin inabibais, wa’iwa’iramaim inibais, saise a’of iti sisib ema’am men naso’ob o abisa kusisinaf.
4 that thine alms be in huddles, and thy Father that seeth in huddles, shall requite to thee [or shall yield to thee]. (so that thy charity be given in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret, shall reward thee.)
4 Iti sawar i wa’iwa’iramaim inasinaf, saise Tamat maramaim o abisa wa’iwa’iramaim isisinaf na’iti boro a baiyan nit.
5 And when ye pray, ye shall not be as (the) hypocrites, that love to pray standing in (the) synagogues and [in](the) corners of (the) streets, to be seen of men, [or that they be seen of men], (or so that they be seen by men); truly I say to you, they have received their meed, (or I tell you the truth, they have received their reward).
5 “Naatu yoyobanamih men wanawanah rerekabih tisisinafube, kwanasinafumih, anayabin i tekokok Kou’ay Bar wanawanan hinabat hinayoyoban, o ef na’ih awah kaukusebamaim hinabat hinayoyoban, saise sabuw hina’itih, baise anababatun a tur ao’owen, nati sabuw hai baiyan i hibaika.
6 But when thou shalt pray, enter into thy couch (or enter into thy bedchamber), and when the door is shut, pray (to) thy Father in huddles, (or pray to thy Father in secret, or in private), and thy Father that seeth in huddles, shall yield to thee.
6 Baise o yoyobanamih a bar inarun, etawan inahir, Tamat wa’iwa’iramaim ema’am isan inayoyoban, naatu Tamat abisa wa’iwa’iramaim isinaf i’itin boro a baiyan nit.
7 But in praying do not ye speak much, as heathen men do (or as the Gentiles do), for they guess that they be heard in their much speech.
7 Naatu yoyobanamih men a tur nidun namomonamih, Eteni Sabuw iyab God men hisusu’ub i na’atube tisisinaf. Tenotanot yoyoban manin hinayoyoban God boro hai yoyoban nanowar.
8 Therefore do not ye be made like to them, for your Father knoweth what is need[ful] to you, before that ye ask him.
8 Men i hai sinaf kwani’u’ur, anayabin abisa inotanot Tamat i so’obabo o kubifefeyan.
9 And thus ye shall pray, Our Father that art in heavens (or Our Father who art in heaven), hallowed be thy name;
9 Imih iti na’atube kwanayoyoban,
10 thy kingdom come to (or thy kingdom come); be thy will done in earth as it is in heaven [or thy will be done as in heaven and in earth];
10 A aiwob tan,
11 give to us this day our each day’s bread;
11 Biyai ana fair isan mar etei ai bay initi.
12 and forgive to us our debts, as we forgive to our debtors;
12 Ai kakafih kunotawiyen,
13 and lead us not into temptation (or and do not bring us to the test), but deliver us from evil. Amen.
13 Men routobonamaim inanawiyi’imih,
14 For if ye forgive to men their sins, your heavenly Father shall forgive to you your trespasses [or your sins].
14 “Taituwa o isa bowabow kakafin hisisinaf inanotawiyen, Tamat maramaim o a kakafih auman boro nanotawiyen.
15 Soothly if ye forgive not to men [the sins of them], neither your Father shall forgive to you your sins.
15 Baise hai kakafih men inanotanotwiyen na’at, o a kakafin auman Tamat boro men nanotawiyen.
16 But when ye fast, do not ye be made as (the) hypocrites (be, looking) sorrowful, for they deface themselves, [or they put their faces out of kindly \+sls (or natural)\+sls* terms], to seem fasting to men; truly I say to you, they have received their meed, (or I tell you the truth, they have received their reward).
16 “Kwanayoyohar ana veya men sabuw wanawanah rerekabih kwani’u’urih, anayabin nati na’atube teyoyohar, saise taituwah hina’itih yoharayah hinarouw hinifa’ih isan. Anababatun a tur ao’owen nati sabuw hai baiyan i hibaika.
17 But when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face,
17 Baise kwanayoyohar ana veya yumat kwanasouwen arib raiy kwanay kwanisuwar,
18 that thou be not seen fasting to men, but (only) to thy Father that is in huddles, (or so that thou not be seen to be fasting by men, but only by thy Father who is in secret), and thy Father that seeth in privy, [or in huddles], (or in secret), shall yield to thee.
18 saise sabuw afa boro men hina so’ob kwa i kwayoyohar, baise Tamat wa’iwa’iramaim ema’ama, o abisa akisimo isinaf i’itin boro a baiyan nit.
19 Do not ye treasure to you(rselves) treasures [here] in (or on the) earth, where rust and moth destroyeth (it), and where thieves delve (it) out, and steal (it), (or and where thieves dig it up, and steal it);
19 “A sawar gewasih iti tafaramamaim inaya inatototo, ganidor boro na’aan fufur naatu simur boro na’arah, naatu bainowah auman boro a bar hinakwib hinarun a sawar hinabain.
20 but gather ye to you(rselves) treasures in heaven, where neither rust nor moth destroyeth (it), and where thieves delve not (it) out, nor steal (it), (or and where thieves cannot dig it up, nor can steal it).
20 Imih a sawar etei maramaim inaya inatoto, saise ganidor boro men hina’aan, naatu simur boro men na’arah, naatu bainowah boro men a bar hinakwib hinarun hina bainuwihimih.
21 For where thy treasure is, there also thine heart is.
21 A toto abuyoy menamaim kuya’aya, o dogor boro imaim mar etei nama.
22 The lantern of thy body is thine eye; if thine eye be simple, (or if thine eye is single, or if it is sound), all thy body shall be light-full;
22 “Matat i biyat ana hinow, matat gewasin, biyat etei boro marakawin.
23 but if thine eye be wayward, all thy body shall be dark[-full]. If then the light that is in thee be darknesses, how great shall those darknesses be?
23 Baise matat kakafin, biyat tutufin etei boro gugumin kakafin, naatu nati gugumin i wanu’umin kakafin.
24 No man may serve two lords, for either he shall hate the one, and love the tother; either he shall sustain the one, and despise the other. Ye may not serve God and riches (or Ye cannot serve God and money, or wealth).
24 “Orot ta’imon men karam boro orot gagamih rou’ab isah nabow, ana gewasin orot ta i boro nakwahir, naatu orot ta isan niyabow, orot ta ana tur i boro nanowar naatu orot ta boro nifutuw.
25 Therefore I say to you, that ye be not busy to your life, what ye shall eat; nor to your body, with what ye shall be clothed. Whether life is not more than meat, and the body more than the cloth? (And so I tell you, do not be concerned about your life, what ye shall eat; nor about your body, with what ye shall be clothed. Is not life more than food, and the body more than a cloak?)
25 “Isan imih a tur ao’owen, ayawas isan men kwaniyababan, a tom isan, biya isan, naatu ar faifuw isan. Kwanotanot yawas i sawar gagamin ar faifuw naatu a tom hairi natabirih?
26 Behold ye the fowls of the air (or Look at the birds of the air), for they sow not, neither reap, neither gather into barns; and your Father of heaven feedeth them. Whether ye be not more worthy than they?
26 Kwanuw mamu kwa’itah, men masaw tebob naatu men masaw tefafour, na’atube aurih bay ana korom en baise Tamat maramaim kaifih bay ebitih. Imih kwa i men mamu ekakaifih na’atube ekakaifimih.
27 But who of you (by) thinking may put [or may add] to his stature one cubit?
27 Imih yababan men karam boro a yawas nakumanin kwanama’amih
28 And of clothing what be ye busy? Behold the lilies of the field, how they wax. They travail not, neither they spin; (And why be concerned about clothing? Look at the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not labour, nor do they spin;)
28 “Naatu aisim ar faifuw isah kwabiyababan? Sigar beran kwanuw kwa’itih, men kafai hibow raro’oh ebababan, o biyah isan ar faifuw tesasakiramih.
29 and I say to you, that Solomon in all his glory was not covered as one of these.
29 Baise a tur ao’owen, aiwob orot Solomon toto buyoy wairafin, ana faifuw eo’osen i men ta iti beran ana gewasinabe’emih.
30 And if God clotheth thus the hay of the field, that today is, and tomorrow is cast into an oven [or is sent into the furnace], (then) how much more you of little faith?
30 God kaiyar fotan ebi’osen wainih kwana’itin, fotan iti boun natasasar, maras boro nakimow nare wairaf wan hinayara’aten hina’arah. Baise kwa i Tamat God uman yanamaim ekakaifi, aisim men kwabitumitum?
31 Therefore do not ye be busy (or And so do not be concerned), saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what thing shall we be covered?
31 Imih men kwaniyababan kwanao, au ar au faifuw boro menamaim anabow ana’osen, naatu bay boro menamaim anabow ana, harew menamaim anahun anatom?
32 For heathen men seek all these things; and your Father knoweth, that ye have need to all these things. (For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your Father knoweth, that ye have need of all these things.)
32 Eteni Sabuw i sawar iti isah tibiyababan, naatu Tamat maramaim kwa a yababan etei i so’ob.
33 Therefore seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his rightwiseness, and all these things shall be cast to you. (And so seek first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these other things shall be thrown, or shall come, unto you.)
33 Baise wan i mar ana aiwob naatu ma gewasin kwananuwih kwanab, naatu sawar iti etei boro tafan naya’abar nit kwanabow.
34 Therefore do not ye be busy into the morrow, for the morrow shall be busy (un)to itself; for it sufficeth to the day his own malice. (And so do not be concerned about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have its own concerns; for each day sufficeth with its own malice, or its own problems.)
34 Isan imih maras isan men kwaniyababan, anayabin maras ibo akisin ana yababan. Na’atube veya ta’ita’imon hai yababan men inabo’ay inanot a yababan nara’atamih.
