1 And the Pharisees and some of the scribes came from Jerusalem together to him.
1 Os fariseus e alguns dos escribas vindos de Jerusalém tinham sereunido em torno dele.
2 And when they had seen some of his disciples eat bread with unwashen hands, they blamed [them], (or they rebuked them).
2 E perceberam que alguns dos seus discípulos comiam o pão com as mãos impuras, isto é, sem as lavar.
3 For the Pharisees and all the Jews eat not, [no] but they wash often their hands, holding the traditions of (the) elder men.
3 {Com efeito, os fariseus e todos os judeus, apegando-se à tradição dos antigos, não comem sem lavar cuidadosamente as mãos;
4 And when they turn again from [the] market (or And when they return from the market), they eat not, [no] but they be washed; and many other things there be, that be taken to them to keep (or to obey), as (the) washing of cups, and of water vessels [or of cruets], and of vessels of brass, and of beds.
4 e, quando voltam do mercado, não comem sem ter feito abluções. E há muitos outros costumes que observam por tradição, como lavar os copos, os jarros e os pratos de metal.}
5 And (the) Pharisees and (the) scribes asked him, and said, Why go not thy disciples after the tradition(s) of (the) elder men, but with unwashen (or unwashed) hands they eat bread?
5 Os fariseus e os escribas perguntaram-lhe: Por que não andam os teus discípulos conforme a tradição dos antigos, mas comem o pão com as mãos impuras?
6 And he answered, and said to them, Esaias prophesied well of you, hypocrites, (or Isaiah prophesied well about you, hypocrites), as it is written, This people worshippeth me with (their) lips [or This people honoureth me with \+sls (their)\+sls* lips], but their heart is far from me;
6 Jesus disse-lhes: Isaías com muita razão profetizou de vós, hipócritas, quando escreveu: Este povo honra-me com os lábios, mas o seu coração está longe de mim.
7 and in vain they worship me, teaching the doctrines and the behests [or the commandments] of men.
7 Em vão, pois, me cultuam, porque ensinam doutrinas e preceitos humanos {29,13}.
8 For ye leave the commandment of God, and hold (fast to) the traditions of men, as [the] washing of water vessels [or of cruets], and of cups; and many other things like these ye do.
8 Deixando o mandamento de Deus, vos apegais à tradição dos homens.
9 And he said to them, Well ye have made the commandment of God void (or empty and useless), to keep your tradition.
9 E Jesus acrescentou: Na realidade, invalidais o mandamento de Deus para estabelecer a vossa tradição.
10 For Moses said, Worship thy father and thy mother [or Honour thou thy father and thy mother]; and he that curseth father or mother, die he by death.
10 Pois Moisés disse: Honra teu pai e tua mãe; e: Todo aquele que amaldiçoar pai ou mãe seja morto.
11 But ye say, If a man say to (his) father or mother, Corban, that is, Whatever gift is of me, it shall profit to thee, (or Whatever gift is for me, it shall also profit thee);
11 Vós, porém, dizeis: Se alguém disser ao pai ou à mãe: Qualquer coisa que de minha parte te pudesse ser útil é corban, isto é, oferta,
12 and over [or further\+sls (more)\+sls*] ye suffer not him [to] do anything to (his) father or mother, (and more than this, ye do not allow him to do anything for his father or mother,)
12 e já não lhe deixais fazer coisa alguma a favor de seu pai ou de sua mãe,
13 and ye break the word of God by your tradition, that ye have given; and ye do many [other] such things.
13 anulando a palavra de Deus por vossa tradição que vós vos transmitistes. E fazeis ainda muitas coisas semelhantes.
14 And he again called the people, and said to them, Ye all hear me, and understand.
14 Tendo chamado de novo a turba, dizia-lhes: Ouvi-me todos, e entendei.
15 Nothing that is without a man, that entereth into him, may defoul him (or can defile him); but those things that come forth of a man, those it be that defoul a man.
15 Nada há fora do homem que, entrando nele, o possa manchar; mas o que sai do homem, isso é que mancha o homem.
16 If any man have ears of hearing, hear he. [Forsooth if any man have ears to hear, hear he.]
16 {bom entendedor meia palavra basta.}
17 And when he was entered into an house, from the people, his disciples asked him (about) the parable.
17 Quando deixou o povo e entrou em casa, os seus discípulos perguntaram-lhe acerca da parábola.
18 And he said to them, Ye be unwise also. Understand ye not, that all thing withoutforth that entereth into a man, may not defoul him? (or Do ye not understand, that everything from outside that entereth into a man, cannot defile him?)
18 Respondeu-lhes: Sois também vós assim ignorantes? Não compreendeis que tudo o que de fora entra no homem não o pode tornar impuro,
19 for it hath not entered into his heart, but into the womb, and beneath it goeth out, purging all meats (or cleaning out all the food).
19 porque não lhe entra no coração, mas vai ao ventre e dali segue sua lei natural? Assim ele declarava puros todos os alimentos. E acrescentava:
20 But he said, The things that go out of a man, those defoul a man (or these defile a person).
20 Ora, o que sai do homem, isso é que mancha o homem.
21 For from within, of the heart of men come forth evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, manslayings,
21 Porque é do interior do coração dos homens que procedem os maus pensamentos: devassidões, roubos, assassinatos,
22 thefts, avarices, [or covetousness, or over-hard keeping of goods], wickednesses, guile, unchastity, evil eye, blasphemies, pride, folly (or foolishness).
22 adultérios, cobiças, perversidades, fraudes, desonestidade, inveja, difamação, orgulho e insensatez.
23 All these evils come forth from within, and defoul a man (or and defile a person).
23 Todos estes vícios procedem de dentro e tornam impuro o homem.
24 And Jesus rose up from thence, and went into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And he went into an house, and would that no man knew; and he might not be hid. (And Jesus left there, and went to the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And he went into a house, and wanted that no one knew that he was there; but he could not stay hidden.)
24 Em seguida, deixando aquele lugar, foi para a terra de Tiro e de Sidônia. E tendo entrado numa casa, não quis que ninguém o soubesse. Mas não pôde ficar oculto,
25 For a woman, anon as she heard of him (or as soon as she heard about him), whose daughter had an unclean spirit, entered, and fell down at his feet.
25 pois uma mulher, cuja filha possuía um espírito imundo, logo que soube que ele estava ali, entrou e caiu a seus pés.
26 And the woman was (a) heathen, of the generation of Syrophenician. And she prayed him, that he would cast out a devil from her daughter, (or And she beseeched him, that he would throw a demon out of her daughter).
26 {Essa mulher era pagã, de origem siro-fenícia.} Ora, ela suplicava-lhe que expelisse de sua filha o demônio.
27 And he said to her, Suffer thou (or Allow) that the children be fulfilled first [or Suffer thou that the sons be filled first]; for it is not good to take the bread of children, and give [it] to hounds.
27 Disse-lhe Jesus: Deixa primeiro que se fartem os filhos, porque não fica bem tomar o pão dos filhos e lançá-lo aos cães.
28 And she answered, and said to him, Yes, Lord; for little whelps eat under the board of the crumbs of (the) children. (And she answered him, Yes, Lord; but even little pups can eat the crumbs of the children under the table.)
28 Mas ela respondeu: É verdade, Senhor; mas também os cachorrinhos debaixo da mesa comem das migalhas dos filhos.
29 And Jesus said to her, Go thou, for this word the fiend (or the demon) went out of thy daughter.
29 Jesus respondeu-lhe: Por causa desta palavra, vai-te, que saiu o demônio de tua filha.
30 And when she was gone into her house home [or And when she had gone home/And when she had gone into her house], she found the damsel lying on the bed, and the devil gone out from her. (And when she went home, she found the young girl lying on the bed, and the demon had gone out of her.)
30 Voltou ela para casa e achou a menina deitada na cama. O demônio havia saído.
31 And again Jesus went out from the coasts of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the sea of Galilee, between the middle of the coasts of Decapolis.
31 Ele deixou de novo as fronteiras de Tiro e foi por Sidônia ao mar da Galiléia, no meio do território da Decápole.
32 And they bring to him a man deaf and dumb, and prayed him to lay his hand/s on him.
32 Ora, apresentaram-lhe um surdo-mudo, rogando-lhe que lhe impusesse a mão.
33 And he took him aside from the people, and put his fingers into his ears; and he spat, and touched his tongue.
33 Jesus tomou-o à parte dentre o povo, pôs-lhe os dedos nos ouvidos e tocou-lhe a língua com saliva.
34 And he beheld into heaven, and sorrowed within, and said [to him], Ephphatha, that is, Be thou opened.
34 E levantou os olhos ao céu, deu um suspiro e disse-lhe: Éfeta!, que quer dizer abre-te!
35 And anon (or at once) his ears were opened, and the band of his tongue was unbound, and he spake rightly.
35 No mesmo instante os ouvidos se lhe abriram, a prisão da língua se lhe desfez e ele falava perfeitamente.
36 And he commanded to them, that they should say to no man; but how much he commanded to them, so much the more they preached,
36 Proibiu-lhes que o dissessem a alguém. Mas quanto mais lhes proibia, tanto mais o publicavam.
37 and by so much the more they wondered, and said, He did well all things, both he hath made deaf men to hear, and dumb men to speak.
37 E tanto mais se admiravam, dizendo: Ele fez bem todas as coisas. Fez ouvir os surdos e falar os mudos!
