1 Therefore, my brethren most dearworthy and most desired, my joy and my crown, so stand ye in the Lord, most dear brethren.
1 Portanto, meus muito amados e saudosos irmãos, alegria e coroa minha, continuai assim firmes no Senhor, caríssimos.
2 I pray Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, to understand the same thing in the Lord.
2 Exorto a Evódia, exorto igualmente a Síntique que vivam em paz no Senhor.
3 Also I pray and thee, germane fellow, help thou those women that travailed with me in the gospel, (or help those \+em women\+em* who laboured with me in the Gospel or the Good News), with Clement and other mine helpers, whose names be in the book of life.
3 E a ti, fiel Sínzigo, também rogo que as ajudes, pois que trabalharam comigo no Evangelho, com Clemente e com os demais colaboradores meus, cujos nomes estão inscritos no livro da vida.
4 Joy ye in the Lord (for)evermore; again I say, joy ye. (Always have joy in the Lord; again I say, have joy!)
4 Alegrai-vos sempre no Senhor. Repito: alegrai-vos!
5 Be your patience [or your temperance] known to all men; the Lord is nigh (or the Lord is near).
5 Seja conhecida de todos os homens a vossa bondade. O Senhor está próximo.
6 Be ye nothing busy, but in all prayer and beseeching, with doing of thankings, (or with the giving of thanks, or with thanksgiving), be your askings known at God.
6 Não vos inquieteis com nada! Em todas as circunstâncias apresentai a Deus as vossas preocupações, mediante a oração, as súplicas e a ação de graças.
7 And the peace of God, that passeth all wit, keep your hearts and understandings in Christ Jesus. (And the peace of God, which passeth all reasoning or all understanding, keep your hearts and understandings in the Messiah Jesus.)
7 E a paz de Deus, que excede toda a inteligência, haverá de guardar vossos corações e vossos pensamentos, em Cristo Jesus.
8 From henceforth, brethren, whatever things be sooth (or whatever things be true), whatever things chaste (or pure), whatever things just, whatever things holy, whatever things able to be loved, [or amiable, or lovable], whatever things of good fame, if any virtue, if any praising of discipline, think ye (on) these things,
8 Além disso, irmãos, tudo o que é verdadeiro, tudo o que é nobre, tudo o que é justo, tudo o que é puro, tudo o que é amável, tudo o que é de boa fama, tudo o que é virtuoso e louvável, eis o que deve ocupar vossos pensamentos.
9 that also ye have learned, and taken, and heard, and seen in me. Do ye these things, and (the) God of peace shall be with you.
9 O que aprendestes, recebestes, ouvistes e observastes em mim, isto praticai, e o Deus da paz estará convosco.
10 But I joyed greatly in the Lord, that sometime afterward ye flowered again to feel for me, as also ye feeled (before). But ye were occupied,
10 Fiquei imensamente contente, no Senhor, porque, finalmente, vi reflorescer o vosso interesse por mim. É verdade que sempre pensáveis nisso, mas vos faltava oportunidade de mostrá-lo.
11 I say not as for need, for I have learned to be sufficient in which things I am.
11 Não é minha penúria que me faz falar. Aprendi a contentar-me com o que tenho.
12 And I know also how to be lowed, [or how to be bowed, or meeked], I know also how to have plenty [or how to abound], (And I know how to be humbled, and I know how to abound). Everywhere and in all things I am taught to be [full-]filled, and to hunger, and to abound, and to suffer mis-ease (or need).
12 Sei viver na penúria, e sei também viver na abundância. Estou acostumado a todas as vicissitudes: a ter fartura e a passar fome, a ter abundância e a padecer necessidade.
13 I may all things in him that comforteth me. (I can do all things through him who strengtheneth me.)
13 Tudo posso naquele que me conforta.
14 Nevertheless ye have done well, communing to my tribulation.
14 Contudo, fizestes bem em tomar parte na minha tribulação.
15 For ye, Philippians, know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I went forth from Macedonia, no church communed with me in reason, of thing given and taken, (or no other church shared things given and received with me), but ye alone.
15 Vós que sois de Filipos, bem sabeis como, no início do meu ministério evangélico, quando parti da Macedônia, nenhuma comunidade abriu comigo contas de deve-haver, senão vós somente.
16 Which sent to Thessalonica once and twice also into use to me. (Ye who sent sustenance to Thessalonica not once but twice for my use.)
16 Já por duas vezes mandastes para Tessalônica o que me era necessário.
17 Not for I seek (a) gift, but I require, [or \+sls (I)\+sls* seek again], fruit abounding in your reason.
17 Não é o donativo em si que eu procuro, e sim os lucros que vão aumentando a vosso crédito.
18 For I have all things, and abound; I am [full-]filled [or replete] with those things taken of Epaphroditus (or with those things received from Epaphroditus), which ye sent into the odour of sweetness, a covenable (or a suitable) sacrifice, pleasing to God.
18 Recebi tudo, e em abundância. Estou bem provido, depois que recebi de Epafrodito a vossa oferta: foi um suave perfume, um sacrifício que Deus aceita com agrado.
19 And my God [ful] fill all your desire(s), by his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (And my God shall fulfill all your desires, or shall fill all of your desires full, with his riches in glory through the Messiah Jesus.)
19 Em recompensa, o meu Deus há de prover magnificamente a todas as vossas necessidades, segundo a sua glória, em Jesus Cristo.
20 But to God and our Father be glory into worlds of worlds. Amen. (But to God and our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.)
20 A Deus, nosso Pai, seja a glória, por toda a eternidade! Amém.
21 Greet ye well every holy man in Christ Jesus. Those brethren that be with me, greet you well. (Give hearty greetings to every saint, or to all of God’s people, in the Messiah Jesus. Those brothers who be with me, send you hearty greetings.)
21 Saudai em Jesus Cristo todos os santos. Os irmãos que estão comigo vos saúdam.
22 All holy men greet you well, most soothly they that be of the emperor’s [or of Caesar’s] house. (All the saints, or all of God’s people, send hearty greetings to you, most particularly those who be in the household of the Emperor.)
22 Todos os santos vos saúdam, especialmente os da casa de César.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
