1 For of the ministry that is made to holy men, it is to me of plenty to write to you. (And as for the service, or the aid, that is sent to the saints, or to God’s people, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.)
1 A respeito do auxílio que vocês estão mandando ao povo de Deus na Judeia, de fato, não tenho nada que escrever a vocês.
2 For I know your [ready] will, for the which I have glory of you with (the) Macedonians, for also Achaia is ready from a year passed, and your love hath stirred full many.
2 Sei que estão querendo ajudar, e por isso eu os tenho elogiado para os irmãos da província da Macedônia . Eu disse que vocês, os irmãos que moram na província da Acaia, já estavam dispostos a ajudar desde o ano passado. A maioria deles ficou muito animada com a boa vontade de vocês.
3 And we have sent brethren, that this thing that we glory of you, be not voided in this part, that as I said, ye be ready. (And we have sent these brothers, so that our boasting about you in this matter, be not empty words, but as I said, so that ye be prepared.)
3 Agora estou enviando estes irmãos para que não fique sem valor o elogio que fiz a respeito de vocês sobre esse assunto. Mas, como eu disse, vocês estarão prontos para ajudar.
4 Lest when (the) Macedonians come with me, and find you unready, we be shamed, that we say you not or that we saw you not, in this substance.
4 Porém, se alguns irmãos da Macedônia forem comigo e não os encontrarem preparados, isso vai ser uma vergonha para nós, que tivemos tanta confiança em vocês. E sem falar na vergonha que vocês mesmos vão sentir.
5 Therefore I guessed (it) necessary to pray (the) brethren, that they come before to you, and make ready this promised blessing to be ready, so as blessing, and not as avarice, (or as a blessing, or as a gift, and not as an example of greed).
5 Por isso achei que era preciso pedir aos irmãos que fossem antes de mim para preparar a oferta que vocês prometeram. E assim, quando eu chegar aí, ela já estará pronta, e todos ficarão sabendo que vocês deram ofertas porque quiseram e não porque foram obrigados.
6 For I say this thing, he that soweth scarcely, shall also reap scarcely; and he that soweth in blessings, shall reap also of blessings.
6 Lembrem disto: quem planta pouco colhe pouco; quem planta muito colhe muito.
7 Each man as he casted in his heart, not of heaviness, or of need; for God loveth a glad(ful) giver.
7 Que cada um dê a sua oferta conforme resolveu no seu coração, não com tristeza nem por obrigação, pois Deus ama quem dá com alegria.
8 And God is mighty to make all grace abound in you, that ye in all things (for)evermore have all sufficience, and abound into all good work; (And God is powerful enough to give all necessary gifts in abundance to you, so that ye always have all sufficiency in everything, and can abound in all good works;)
8 E Deus pode dar muito mais do que vocês precisam para que vocês tenham sempre tudo o que necessitam e ainda mais do que o necessário para fazerem todo tipo de boas obras.
9 as it is written, He dealed abroad, he gave to poor men, his rightwiseness dwelleth [into] without end (or his righteousness remaineth forever and ever).
9 Como dizem as Escrituras Sagradas : “Ele dá generosamente aos pobres, e a sua bondade dura para sempre.”
10 And he that ministereth seed to the sower (or And he who serveth up seed to the sower), shall give also bread to eat, and he shall multiply your seed, and make much the increasings of (the) fruits of your rightwiseness;
10 E Deus, que dá a semente para semear e o pão para comer, também dará a vocês todas as sementes que vocês precisam. Ele fará com que elas cresçam e deem uma grande colheita, como resultado da generosidade de vocês.
11 that in all things ye made rich wax plenteous [or abound] into all simpleness, which worketh by us (the) doing of thankings to God. (so that in all things ye made rich grow plenteous, or abound, in all sincerity, which worketh in us the giving of thanks to God.)
11 Ele fará com que vocês sejam sempre ricos para que possam dar com generosidade. E assim muitos agradecerão a Deus a oferta que vocês estão mandando por meio de nós.
12 For the ministry (or the service) of this office not only filleth those things that fail to holy men, but also multiplieth many thankings to God,
12 Porque isso que vocês fazem não somente ajuda o povo de Deus que está necessitado, mas também faz com que eles façam muitas orações de gratidão a Deus.
13 by the proving of this ministry, which glorify God in the obedience of your acknowledging in the gospel of Christ (or in the Gospel, or the Good News, of the Messiah), and in (the) simpleness (or the sincerity) of (the) communication into them and into all [others],
13 Eles darão glória a Deus, pois esse serviço que vocês estão prestando mostra a eles como vocês são dedicados ao evangelho de Cristo, que vocês aceitam e seguem. E eles também darão glória a Deus pela oferta generosa que vocês estão dando a eles e a todos os outros.
14 and in the beseeching of them for you, that desire you for the excellent grace of God in you.
14 E eles orarão com muito carinho por vocês, por causa do imenso amor que Deus tem mostrado a vocês.
15 I do thankings to God of the gift of him, that may not be told (out). [I give thankings to God upon the unnarrable, \+sls (or unnarrative-able, or untellable)\+sls*, or that may not be told \+sls (out)\+sls*, gift of him.](I give thanks to God, for his gift, thanks that can never be sufficiently told out or described.)
