1 For of the ministry that is made to holy men, it is to me of plenty to write to you. (And as for the service, or the aid, that is sent to the saints, or to God’s people, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.)
1 Quanto à administração que se faz a favor dos santos, não necessito escrever-vos,
2 For I know your [ready] will, for the which I have glory of you with (the) Macedonians, for also Achaia is ready from a year passed, and your love hath stirred full many.
2 porque bem sei a prontidão do vosso ânimo, da qual me glorio de vós, para com os macedônios, que a Acaia está pronta desde o ano passado, e o vosso zelo tem estimulado muitos.
3 And we have sent brethren, that this thing that we glory of you, be not voided in this part, that as I said, ye be ready. (And we have sent these brothers, so that our boasting about you in this matter, be not empty words, but as I said, so that ye be prepared.)
3 Mas enviei estes irmãos, para que a nossa glória, acerca de vós, não seja vã nessa parte; para que (como já disse) possais estar prontos,
4 Lest when (the) Macedonians come with me, and find you unready, we be shamed, that we say you not or that we saw you not, in this substance.
4 a fim de, se acaso os macedônios vierem comigo e vos acharem desapercebidos, não nos envergonharmos nós (para não dizermos, vós) deste firme fundamento de glória.
5 Therefore I guessed (it) necessary to pray (the) brethren, that they come before to you, and make ready this promised blessing to be ready, so as blessing, and not as avarice, (or as a blessing, or as a gift, and not as an example of greed).
5 Portanto, tive por coisa necessária exortar estes irmãos, para que, primeiro, fossem ter convosco e preparassem de antemão a vossa bênção já antes anunciada, para que esteja pronta como bênção e não como avareza.
6 For I say this thing, he that soweth scarcely, shall also reap scarcely; and he that soweth in blessings, shall reap also of blessings.
6 E digo isto: Que o que semeia pouco pouco também ceifará; e o que semeia em abundância em abundância também ceifará.
7 Each man as he casted in his heart, not of heaviness, or of need; for God loveth a glad(ful) giver.
7 Cada um contribua segundo propôs no seu coração, não com tristeza ou por necessidade; porque Deus ama ao que dá com alegria.
8 And God is mighty to make all grace abound in you, that ye in all things (for)evermore have all sufficience, and abound into all good work; (And God is powerful enough to give all necessary gifts in abundance to you, so that ye always have all sufficiency in everything, and can abound in all good works;)
8 E Deus é poderoso para tornar abundante em vós toda graça, a fim de que, tendo sempre, em tudo, toda suficiência, superabundeis em toda boa obra,
9 as it is written, He dealed abroad, he gave to poor men, his rightwiseness dwelleth [into] without end (or his righteousness remaineth forever and ever).
9 conforme está escrito: Espalhou, deu aos pobres, a sua justiça permanece para sempre.
10 And he that ministereth seed to the sower (or And he who serveth up seed to the sower), shall give also bread to eat, and he shall multiply your seed, and make much the increasings of (the) fruits of your rightwiseness;
10 Ora, aquele que dá a semente ao que semeia e pão para comer também multiplicará a vossa sementeira e aumentará os frutos da vossa justiça;
11 that in all things ye made rich wax plenteous [or abound] into all simpleness, which worketh by us (the) doing of thankings to God. (so that in all things ye made rich grow plenteous, or abound, in all sincerity, which worketh in us the giving of thanks to God.)
11 para que em tudo enriqueçais para toda a beneficência, a qual faz que por nós se deem graças a Deus.
12 For the ministry (or the service) of this office not only filleth those things that fail to holy men, but also multiplieth many thankings to God,
12 Porque a administração desse serviço não só supre as necessidades dos santos, mas também redunda em muitas graças, que se dão a Deus,
13 by the proving of this ministry, which glorify God in the obedience of your acknowledging in the gospel of Christ (or in the Gospel, or the Good News, of the Messiah), and in (the) simpleness (or the sincerity) of (the) communication into them and into all [others],
13 visto como, na prova desta administração, glorificam a Deus pela submissão que confessais quanto ao evangelho de Cristo, e pela liberalidade de vossos dons para com eles e para com todos,
14 and in the beseeching of them for you, that desire you for the excellent grace of God in you.
14 e pela sua oração por vós, tendo de vós saudades, por causa da excelente graça de Deus que em vós há.
15 I do thankings to God of the gift of him, that may not be told (out). [I give thankings to God upon the unnarrable, \+sls (or unnarrative-able, or untellable)\+sls*, or that may not be told \+sls (out)\+sls*, gift of him.](I give thanks to God, for his gift, thanks that can never be sufficiently told out or described.)
15 Graças a Deus, pois, pelo seu dom inefável.
