1 Forsooth the sons of Israel were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

3 The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three were born to him of Shua, a daughter of Canaan. And Er, the first begotten (son) of Judah, was evil before the Lord, and the Lord killed him. (The sons of Judah \+em were\+em* Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three were born to him of the daughter of Shua, of Canaan, or these three were born to him of Bathshua, a Canaanite. And Er, the first-born son of Judah, was evil before the Lord, and the Lord killed him.)
3 Os filhos de Judá: Er, e Onã, e Selá; estes três lhe nasceram da filha de Suá, a cananeia. E Er, o primogênito de Judá, foi mau à vista do SENHOR; que o matou.
4 And Tamar, the wife of the son of Judah, childed to him Pharez, and Zerah, (or bare him Perez, and Zerah); and all the sons of Judah were five.
4 E Tamar, a sua nora, lhe deu à luz Perez e Zerá. E todos os filhos de Judá foram cinco.
5 And the sons of Pharez were Hezron, and Hamul. (And the sons of Perez \+em were\+em* Hezron, and Hamul.)

6 And the sons of Zerah were Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; five (al)together.

7 The son of Carmi was Achar, that troubled Israel, and sinned in the theft of (the) thing hallowed to the Lord.

9 And the sons of Hezron, that were born to him, were Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

10 And Ram begat Amminadab. And Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah.

11 And Nahshon begat Salma; of whom Boaz was born. (And Nahshon begat Salma; and Salma begat Boaz.)

12 And Boaz begat Obed; which himself begat Jesse. (And Boaz begat Obed; and Obed begat Jesse.)

13 And Jesse begat his first son, Eliab; the second, Abinadab; the third, Shimma;

16 whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah were three, Abishai, Joab, and Asahel.

17 And Abigail childed Amasa (or And Abigail bare Amasa), whose father was Jether (the) Ishmaelite.
17 E Abigail deu à luz a Amasa; e o pai de Amasa foi Jéter, o ismaelita.
18 And Caleb, the son of Hezron, took a wife, Azubah, by name, of whom he begat Jerioth; and his sons were Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon, (or and her sons were Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon).
18 E Calebe, o filho de Hezrom, gerou filhos de Azuba, a sua esposa, e de Jeriote; os filhos dela são estes: Jeser, e Sobabe, e Ardom.
19 And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took a wife, Ephrath, which childed Hur to him (or who bare him Hur).
19 E morreu Azuba e Calebe tomou para si Efrata, a qual deu à luz Hur.
20 And Hur begat Uri; (and) Uri begat Bezaleel.
20 E Hur gerou Uri, e Uri gerou Bezalel.
21 After these things Hezron entered to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and he took her to wife, when he was of sixty years; and she childed Segub to him. (After these things Hezron went to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and he took her \+em for his wife\+em*, when he was sixty years old; and she bare him Segub.)
21 E, depois disso, Hezrom, o pai de Gileade, conheceu a filha de Maquir, com quem se casou quando tinha sessenta anos de idade; e ela lhe deu à luz Segube.
22 But also Segub begat Jair; and he had in possession three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead;
22 E Segube gerou Jair, que tinha vinte e três cidades na terra de Gileade.
23 and he took Geshur, and Aram, the cities of Jair, and Kenath, and the towns thereof, of seventy cities, (or but Geshur and Aram captured the cities of Jair, and Kenath, and their towns, sixty towns in all). All these were(of) the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.
23 E Gesur e Arã tomaram as aldeias de Jair, juntamente com Quenate, e as suas aldeias, a saber, sessenta cidades. Todas estas pertenciam aos filhos de Maquir, o pai de Gileade.
24 And when Hezron was dead, Caleb entered into Ephratah. And Hezron had a wife Abiah, the which childed to him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa. (And when Hezron died, Caleb went to Ephratah, the wife of his father Hezron, \+em and married her\+em*. And she bare him Ashhur, the founder of Tekoa.)
24 E depois da morte de Hezrom em Calebe-Efrata, Abia, a esposa de Hezrom, deu-lhe à luz Azur, o pai de Tecoa.
25 And sons were born of Jerahmeel, the first begotten (son) of Hezron; (and) Ram was the first begotten son of him, and then Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah. (And sons were born to Jerahmeel, the first-born son of Hezron; and Ram \+em was\+em* his first-born son, and \+em then\+em* Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.)
25 E os filhos de Jerameel, o primogênito de Hezrom, foram: Rão, o primogênito, e Buna, e Orém, e Ozém, e Aías.
26 Also Jerahmeel wedded another wife, Atarah by name, that was the mother of Onam. (And Jerahmeel wed another wife, who was named Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.)
26 Jerameel teve também outra esposa, cujo nome era Atara; ela foi a mãe de Onã.
27 But and the sons of Ram, the first begotten (son) of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
27 E os filhos de Rão, o primogênito de Jerameel foram: Maaz, e Jamim, e Equer.
28 And Onam begat sons, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai were Nadab, and Abishur;
28 E os filhos de Onã foram: Samai e Jada. E os filhos de Samai: Nadabe e Abisur.
29 and the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, that childed to him Ahban, and Molid, (or who bare him Ahban, and Molid).
29 E o nome da esposa de Abisur era Abigail, e ela deu à luz a Abã e a Molide.
30 And the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim; forsooth Seled died without children.
30 E os filhos de Nadabe: Selede e Apaim; mas Selede morreu sem filhos.
31 And the son of Appaim was Ishi, the which Ishi begat Sheshan; certainly Sheshan begat Ahlai.
31 E o filho de Apaim: Isi. E o filho de Isi: Sesã. E o filho de Sesã: Alai.
32 And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether, and Jonathan; but Jether died without sons;
32 E os filhos de Jada, o irmão de Samai: Jéter, e Jônatas; e Jéter morreu sem filhos.
33 and Jonathan begat Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
33 E os filhos de Jônatas: Pelete e Zaza. Estes foram os filhos de Jerameel.
34 And Sheshan had not sons, but daughters, and a servant of Egypt (or and an Egyptian servant), Jarha by name;

35 and he gave his daughter to wife to Jarha, which childed Attai to him. (and Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha for a wife, and she bare him Attai.)

36 And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad.

38 Obed begat Jehu, Jehu begat Azariah,

42 And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, the first begotten son of him, that is the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah, the father of Hebron. (And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, \+em were\+em* Mesha, his first-born son, who is the founder of Ziph; and Mareshah, the founder of Hebron.)
42 Ora, o filho de Calebe, o irmão de Jerameel foram, Messa, o seu primogênito, o qual foi o pai de Zife; e os filhos de Maressa, o pai de Hebrom.
43 Certainly the sons of Hebron were Korah, and Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.
43 E os filhos de Hebrom: Coré, e Tapua, e Requém, e Sema.
44 And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam; and Rekem begat Shammai.
44 E Sema gerou Raão, o pai de Jorqueão; e Requém gerou Samai.
45 The son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Bethzur.
45 E o filho de Samai foi Maom; e Maom foi o pai de Bete-Zur.
46 And Ephah, the secondary wife of Caleb, childed (or bare) Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.
46 E Efá, a concubina de Calebe, deu à luz a Harã, e Mosa, e Gazez; e Harã gerou Gazez.
47 The sons of Jahdai were Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
47 E os filhos de Jadai: Regém, e Jotão e Gesã, e Pelete, e Efá e Saafe.
48 Maachah, the secondary wife of Caleb (or the concubine of Caleb), childed Sheber, and Tirhanah.
48 Maaca, concubina de Calebe, deu à luz a Seber, e Tiraná.
49 And (Maachah also bare) Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, (and she also) engendered Sheva, the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsa. (And Maachah also bare Shaaph, the founder of Madmannah, and Sheva, the founder of Machbenah, and the founder of Gibea; and Caleb’s daughter was Achsa.)
49 Ela deu também à luz Saafe, o pai de Madmana; Seva, o pai de Gibeá; e a filha de Calebe foi Acsa.
50 These were (also) the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the first begotten son of Ephratah, were Shobal, the father of Kiriathjearim (or the founder of Kiriathjearim);
50 Estes foram os filhos de Calebe, o filho de Hur, o primogênito de Efrata: Sobal, o pai de Quiriate-Jearim,
51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem; Hareph, the father of Bethgader. (Salma, the founder of Bethlehem; and Hareph, the founder of Bethgader.)
51 Salma, o pai de Belém; Harefe, o pai de Bete-Gader.
52 And the sons of Shobal, the father of Kiriathjearim, that saw the half of [the] restings, (And the sons of Shobal, the founder of Kiriathjearim; and Haroeh, or and Reaiah, and half of the Manahethites.)
52 E Sobal, o pai de Quiriate-Jearim, teve filhos: Haroé e a metade dos manaatitas.
53 and was of the kindred of Kiriathjearim, were Ithrites, and Puhites, and Shumathites, and Mishraites. Of these were born Zareathites, and Eshtaulites. (And those of the kindred of Kiriathjearim, were the Ithrites, and Puhites, and Shumathites, and Mishraites. From these were born the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.)
53 E as famílias de Quiriate-Jearim: os itritas, e os puteus, e os sumateus, e os misraeus; deles vieram os zoratitas, e os estaoleus.
54 The sons of Salma, the father of Bethlehem, and of Netophathites, were the crowns of the house of Joab, and half of the resting of Zorites. (The sons of Salma \+em (were)\+em* Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, half of the Manahethites, and the Zorites./The sons of Salma, the founder of Bethlehem, \+em (were)\+em* the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, half of the Manahethites, and the Zorites.)
54 Os filhos de Salma: Belém, e os netofatitas; Atarote, a casa de Joabe; e a metade dos manassitas, e os zoreus.
55 And the kindreds of scribes, dwelling in Jabez, singing, and sounding, and dwelling in tabernacles. These be Kenites, that came of the heat of the father of the house of Rechab. (And the kindreds, \+em or the families\+em*, of the writers, \+em or the copyists\+em*, living in Jabez; the Tirathites, and Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These be the Kenites, who joined with the house of Rechab.)
55 E as famílias dos escribas que habitaram em Jabez: os tiratitas, os simeatitas, e os sucatitas. Estes são os queneus que vieram de Hamate, o pai da casa de Recabe.
