GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NAA
1 Is there any advantage, then, in being a Jew? Or is there any value in being circumcised?
1 Qual é, então, a vantagem do judeu? Ou qual a utilidade da circuncisão?
2 There are all kinds of advantages. First of all, God entrusted them with his word.
2 Muita, sob todos os aspectos. Principalmente porque aos judeus foram confiados os oráculos de Deus.
3 What if some of them were unfaithful? Can their unfaithfulness cancel God’s faithfulness?
3 E então? Se alguns não creram, será que a incredulidade deles anulará a fidelidade de Deus?
4 That would be unthinkable! God is honest, and everyone else is a liar, as Scripture says,
4 De modo nenhum! Seja Deus verdadeiro, e todo ser humano, mentiroso, como está escrito: “Para que sejas justificado nas tuas palavras e venhas a vencer quando fores julgado.”
5 But if what we do wrong shows that God is fair, what should we say? Is God unfair when he vents his anger on us? (I’m arguing the way humans would.)
5 Mas, se a nossa injustiça evidencia a justiça de Deus, que diremos? Seria Deus injusto por aplicar a sua ira? Falo em termos humanos.
6 That’s unthinkable! Otherwise, how would God be able to judge the world?
6 É claro que não. Do contrário, como Deus julgará o mundo?
7 If my lie increases the glory that God receives by showing that God is truthful, why am I still judged as a sinner?
7 E, se a minha mentira faz com que aumente a verdade de Deus para a sua glória, por que ainda sou condenado como pecador?
8 Or can we say, “Let’s do evil so that good will come from it”? Some slander us and claim that this is what we say. They are condemned, and that’s what they deserve.
8 E por que não dizemos, como alguns caluniosamente afirmam que o fazemos: “Pratiquemos o que é mau, para que nos venha o que é bom”? A condenação destes é justa.
9 What, then, is the situation? Do we have any advantage? Not at all. We have already accused everyone (both Jews and Greeks) of being under the power of sin,
9 Que se conclui? Temos nós alguma vantagem? Não, de forma nenhuma. Pois já temos demonstrado que todos, tanto judeus como gregos, estão debaixo do pecado.
10 as Scripture says,
10 Como está escrito: “Não há justo, nem um sequer,
11 No one understands.
11 não há quem entenda, não há quem busque a Deus.
12 Everyone has turned away.
12 Todos se desviaram e juntamente se tornaram inúteis; não há quem faça o bem, não há nem um sequer.
13 Their throats are open graves.
13 A garganta deles é sepulcro aberto; com a língua enganam, veneno de víbora está nos seus lábios.
14 Their mouths are full of curses and bitter resentment.
14 A boca, eles a têm cheia de maldição e amargura;
15 They run quickly to murder people.
15 os seus pés são velozes para derramar sangue.
16 There is ruin and suffering wherever they go.
16 Nos seus caminhos, há destruição e miséria;
17 They have not learned to live in peace.
17 eles não conhecem o caminho da paz.
18 They are not terrified of God.”
18 Não há temor de Deus diante de seus olhos.”
19 We know that whatever the Scriptures say applies to everyone under their influence, and no one can say a thing. The whole world is brought under the judgment of God.
19 Ora, sabemos que tudo o que a lei diz é dito aos que vivem sob a lei, para que toda boca se cale, e todo o mundo seja culpável diante de Deus.
20 Not one person can have God’s approval by any effort to follow the laws in the Scriptures. These laws show what sin is.
20 Porque ninguém será justificado diante de Deus por obras da lei, pois pela lei vem o pleno conhecimento do pecado.
21 Now, the way to receive God’s approval has been made plain in a way other than the laws in the Scriptures. Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets tell us this.
21 Mas, agora, sem lei, a justiça de Deus se manifestou, sendo testemunhada pela Lei e pelos Profetas.
22 Everyone who believes has God’s approval through faith in Jesus Christ.
22 É a justiça de Deus mediante a fé em Jesus Cristo, para todos e sobre todos os que creem. Porque não há distinção,
23 Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God’s glory.
23 pois todos pecaram e carecem da glória de Deus,
24 They receive God’s approval freely by an act of his kindness through the price Christ Jesus paid to set us free ⌞from sin⌟.
24 sendo justificados gratuitamente, por sua graça, mediante a redenção que há em Cristo Jesus,
25 God showed that Christ is the throne of mercy where God’s approval is given through faith in Christ’s blood. In his patience God waited to deal with sins committed in the past.
25 a quem Deus apresentou como propiciação, no seu sangue, mediante a fé. Deus fez isso para manifestar a sua justiça, por ter ele, na sua tolerância, deixado impunes os pecados anteriormente cometidos,
26 He waited so that he could display his approval at the present time. This shows that he is a God of justice, a God who approves of people who believe in Jesus.
26 tendo em vista a manifestação da sua justiça no tempo presente, a fim de que o próprio Deus seja justo e o justificador daquele que tem fé em Jesus.
27 So, do we have anything to brag about? Bragging has been eliminated. On what basis was it eliminated? On the basis of our own efforts? No, indeed! Rather, it is eliminated on the basis of faith.
27 Onde fica, então, o orgulho? Foi totalmente excluído. Por meio de que lei? A lei das obras? Não! Pelo contrário, por meio da lei da fé.
28 We conclude that a person has God’s approval by faith, not by his own efforts.
28 Concluímos, pois, que o ser humano é justificado pela fé, independentemente das obras da lei.
29 Is God only the God of the Jews? Isn’t he also the God of people who are not Jewish? Certainly, he is,
29 Ou seria Deus apenas Deus dos judeus? Será que não é também Deus dos gentios? Sim, também dos gentios,
30 since it is the same God who approves circumcised people by faith and uncircumcised people through this same faith.
30 visto que Deus é um só, o qual justificará o circunciso a partir da fé e o incircunciso por meio da fé.
31 Are we abolishing the laws in the Scriptures by this faith? That’s unthinkable! Rather, we are supporting these laws.
31 Anulamos, então, a lei por meio da fé? De modo nenhum! Pelo contrário, confirmamos a lei.
