GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVT
1 No matter who you are, if you judge anyone, you have no excuse. When you judge another person, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.
1 Talvez você pense que pode condenar esses indivíduos, mas é igual a eles e não tem desculpa! Quando diz que eles deveriam ser castigados, condena a si mesmo, porque você, que julga os outros, pratica as mesmas coisas.
2 We know that God’s judgment is right when he condemns people for doing these things.
2 E sabemos que Deus, em sua justiça, castigará todos que praticam tais coisas.
3 When you judge people for doing these things but then do them yourself, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
3 Uma vez que você julga outros por fazerem essas coisas, o que o leva a pensar que evitará o julgamento de Deus ao agir da mesma forma?
4 Do you have contempt for God, who is very kind to you, puts up with you, and deals patiently with you? Don’t you realize that it is God’s kindness that is trying to lead you to him and change the way you think and act?
4 Não percebe quanto ele é bondoso, tolerante e paciente com você? Não vê que essas manifestações da bondade de Deus visam levá-lo ao arrependimento?
5 Since you are stubborn and don’t want to change the way you think and act, you are adding to the anger that God will have against you on that day when God vents his anger. At that time God will reveal that his decisions are fair.
5 Mas, por causa de seu coração rebelde, você se recusa a abandonar o pecado, acumulando ira sobre si mesmo. Pois o dia da ira se aproxima, quando o justo juízo de Deus se revelará.
6 He will pay all people back for what they have done.
6 Ele julgará cada um de acordo com seus atos.
7 He will give everlasting life to those who search for glory, honor, and immortality by persisting in doing what is good. But he will bring
7 Dará vida eterna àqueles que, persistindo em fazer o bem, buscam glória, honra e imortalidade.
8 anger and fury on those who, in selfish pride, refuse to believe the truth and who follow what is wrong.
8 Mas derramará ira e indignação sobre os que vivem para si mesmos, que se recusam a obedecer à verdade e preferem entregar-se a uma vida de perversidade.
9 There will be suffering and distress for every person who does evil, for Jews first and Greeks as well.
9 A todos que praticam o mal, ele trará aflição e calamidade: primeiro para os judeus, e também para os gentios.
10 But there will be glory, honor, and peace for every person who does what is good, for Jews first and Greeks as well.
10 Mas, a todos que fazem o bem, ele dará glória, honra e paz: primeiro para os judeus, e também para os gentios.
11 God does not play favorites.
11 Pois Deus não age com favoritismo.
12 Here’s the reason: Whoever sins without having the laws in Moses’ Teachings will still be condemned to destruction. And whoever has these laws from God and sins will still be judged by them.
12 Assim, todos os que pecarem, mesmo não tendo a lei escrita de Deus, serão destruídos. E todos os que pecarem estando sob a lei de Deus, de acordo com essa lei serão julgados.
13 People who merely listen to the laws in Moses’ Teachings don’t have God’s approval. Rather, people who do what those laws demand will have God’s approval.
13 Pois o simples ato de ouvir a lei não nos torna justos diante de Deus, mas sim a obediência à lei é que nos torna justos aos olhos dele.
14 For example, whenever non-Jews who don’t have the laws in Moses’ Teachings do by nature the things that those laws contain, they are a law to themselves even though they don’t have any of those laws.
14 Até mesmo os gentios, que não têm a lei escrita, quando obedecem a ela instintivamente, mostram que conhecem a lei, mesmo não a tendo.
15 They show that some requirements found in Moses’ Teachings are written in their hearts. Their consciences speak to them. Their thoughts accuse them on one occasion and defend them on another.
15 Demonstram que a lei está gravada em seu coração, pois sua consciência e seus pensamentos os acusam ou lhes dizem que estão agindo corretamente.
16 This happens as they face the day when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge people’s secret thoughts. He will use the Good News that I am spreading to make that judgment.
16 Isso se confirmará no dia em que Deus julgar os segredos de cada um por meio de Cristo Jesus, de acordo com as boas-novas que anuncio.
17 You call yourself a Jew, rely on the laws in Moses’ Teachings, brag about your God,
17 Você, que se diz judeu, se apoia na lei de Deus e se orgulha de seu relacionamento especial com ele.
18 know what he wants, and distinguish right from wrong because you have been taught Moses’ Teachings.
18 Conhece a vontade de Deus: sabe o que é certo, porque foi instruído em sua lei.
19 You are confident that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in the dark,
19 Está convencido de que é guia para os cegos e luz para os que estão perdidos na escuridão.
20 an instructor of ignorant people, and a teacher of children because you have the full content of knowledge and truth in Moses’ Teachings.
20 Considera-se capaz de instruir os ignorantes e ensinar os caminhos de Deus às crianças. Está certo de que a lei de Deus lhe dá pleno conhecimento e verdade.
21 As you teach others, are you failing to teach yourself? As you preach against stealing, are you stealing?
21 Pois bem, se você ensina a outros, por que não ensina a si mesmo? Diz a outros que não roubem, mas você mesmo rouba?
22 As you tell others not to commit adultery, are you committing adultery? As you treat idols with disgust, are you robbing temples?
22 Afirma que é errado cometer adultério, mas você mesmo adultera? Condena a idolatria, mas rouba objetos dos templos?
23 As you brag about the laws in Moses’ Teachings, are you dishonoring God by ignoring those laws?
23 Você, que tanto se orgulha de conhecer a lei, desonra a Deus, desobedecendo à lei?
24 As Scripture says, “God’s name is cursed among the nations because of you.”
24 Não é de admirar que as Escrituras digam: “Os gentios blasfemam o nome de Deus por causa de vocês”.
25 For example, circumcision is valuable if you follow the laws in Moses’ Teachings. If you don’t follow those laws, your circumcision amounts to uncircumcision.
25 A prática judaica da circuncisão só tem valor se você obedece à lei de Deus. Mas se você, que é circuncidado, não obedece à lei de Deus, não é diferente de um gentio incircuncidado.
26 So if a man does what those laws demand, won’t he be considered circumcised even if he is uncircumcised?
26 E, se os incircuncidados obedecerem à lei de Deus, acaso não serão também considerados circuncidados?
27 The uncircumcised man who carries out what those laws say will condemn you for not following them. He will condemn you in spite of the fact that you are circumcised and have those laws in writing.
27 De fato, os gentios incircuncidados que cumprem a lei de Deus condenarão você, judeu, que é circuncidado e tem a lei de Deus, mas não obedece a ela.
28 A person is not a Jew because of his appearance, nor is circumcision a matter of how the body looks.
28 Pois ser judeu exteriormente ou ser circuncidado não torna ninguém judeu de fato.
29 Rather, a person is a Jew inwardly, and circumcision is something that happens in a person’s heart. Circumcision is spiritual, not just a written rule. That person’s praise will come from God, not from people.
29 Judeu verdadeiro é quem o é no íntimo, e circuncisão verdadeira é a do coração, feita pelo Espírito, e não pela letra da lei, recebendo assim a aprovação de Deus, e não das pessoas.
